Come for the puzzles stay for the philosophy.
The world, puzzles, narrative and music are all served to the player in small helpings, never overwhelming and allowing you to soak in and become one with the world. By the end of the game, it has challenged your mind in multiple ways.

Satisfying puzzles, philosophically engaging storyline and exquisite presentation combine to make The Talos Principle one of the best of its genre. [Feb 2015]

I barely remember this game. All I remember was that I was playing it. Then somewhere along the way got bored. It started feeling more tedious than fun. And dropped. The puzzles were somehow not that interesting (and I've played portal / portal 2 / few others like braid etc).

English : You're looking for puzzles and suddenly you are caught in this weird and intriguing world asking you deep philosophical question, challenging your brain in everyway. Loved it.

The Talos Principle ties its seemingly disparate parts together beautifully, making for a game that is every bit as smart as it purports to be.

What a great argument "if you like the story and narrative of ****, it is because you have only played the "vidia games" and haven't done/seen/read anything else in your life." Truly worthy of any good underdeveloped 12-year-old.

As a straight puzzle game The Talos Principle is very solid, but the setting and narrative really elevate it into something special.

The Talos Principle manages to mix its philosophical groundwork with the story. It also has great and rewarding puzzles.

Bursting at the seams with challenging puzzles and thought-provoking science fiction, The Talos Principle is a philosophically-minded first-person puzzler that’s well worth your time.

The Talos Principle’s worst transgression is that it is absolutely predictable. The levels are all too similar, and by the end of the game you do pretty much the same routine as you do in the beginning.

if there's one thing i hate about some reviews(the TRUE dogwater),it's people who pose as great experts on something, and then spend half the time judging other people's tastes rather than exposing their **** you didn't like this game ok,but is it possible that you can't write your own opinion without belittling someone else's? if you can't express yourself without first pointing out that people who liked the game don't understand anything, then maybe, next time, keep your opinion to yourself because no one really cares. It is also quite ridiculous to talk about "philosophical themes being annoying or not worthy of attention," even going so far as to classify everything as garbage and then writing that you didn't even put a moment's effort into reading some text because you were fed **** you don't like to use your head(in every sense)there are thousands of games more suitable for you out there, play those

The Talos Principle came out 8 years before this review, but it's important to note that it was already outdated trash back in 2014. It's an extremely basic puzzle game in which the puzzles are pretty poor and everything else is exceedingly bad. Were gamers really so starved for a decent game in 2014 that they mistook The Talos Principle for something worth playing? Apparently, but I think I would remember if 2014 was that dire.
