The Punisher does exactly what it sets out to do. Picking up the controller gives immediate access to a theatre of death and destruction, and while originality is gunned down at some point during the first few levels, there's plenty of fun to be had, especially for fans of the comic. At the heart of the title, there's a generic third-person shooter. The game doesn't try and doesn't succeed in progressing or adding anything to the genre, and you'll probably get bored halfway through.

I hate superheroes/marvel. **** idolatry anything thats soft. This was my first testosterone booster in my life. I was 7 years old and man, torturing enemies, disembowel, interrogations, zooming blackwidow **** was awesome, and maaaan the soundtrack, glorious. Personal favourite:Central Zoo. oh my god wtf with tom jane's acting voice here, my favorite part was being in the coffin and then killing everyone at the funeral withm60. bosses areok. difficulty is ok. those ennis flashbacks are awe. Yeah aint a perfect game, but its my favorite. I loved max payne (played at 23 years) I loved Manhunt (played at 21) this is the perfect mix. My only and unique fav anti heroe. enemies voice acting is funny as hell. If you really want to have fun playing a videogame, is this one. fax.

A really funny shoting game that is better than the movie. Captures the essence of Garth Enis' comics with violence and acid humor. A gift to every Punisher fan and one of the best heroes games ever.

Ну кароче прошел я игру the punisher 2005 года, которая еще известна своей легендарной русской озвучкой, которая настолько плоха, что великолепна(причем это вроде как профессиональная студийная работа, с реальными актерами). Игра по факту дикий треш из середины 2000х, но очень веселый и не душный. геймплей рофельный, но однообразный, так как по сути вся игра по одному и тому же паттерну проходится от начала и до конца - шмаляешь по врагам, которые не в состоянии тебе ничего сделать так как ты играешь с мыши, по головам, они весело и задорно умирают, хватаешь кого-нибудь из них, пытаешь и повторяешь так до конца. Локаций много, есть даже подобия боссов(злой русский, босс танк, босс вертолет, главный босс) все как на денди. Людям которые не переносят клюкву играть будет неприятно. Однако игра веселая, проходится без духоты практически, но звезд с неба не хватает. Чувствуется наследие Макса Пейна(можно прыгать туда сюда в точности как Макс, но без замедла), возможно создатели Макса Пейна как раз вдохновлялись комиксами про Карателя, а тут произошла реверсия. Также заметно что игра по вселенной марвел, куча персонажей марвеловских, фанатам должно зайти (я не из таких), одна из локаций тупо лаборатория Тони Старка. 7 из 10

It's not all brutality. The Punisher is also one of the most immersive strategy games ever created. Aim for the head and enjoy.

The Marvel entity known as The Punisher is done right in this game... really right. The Havoc engine makes for pretty fun gameplay but there's not much of the core action that you haven't seen before. Interrogations and special kills are a blast.

Everything about it screams "average", from the relatively enjoyable but repetitive gameplay, to the nice but not spectacular graphics.

The game tries to break out of the third-person shooter blueprint by offering sometimes-gory interrogation sequences, but these portions don't do enough to change what is otherwise a very by-the-numbers action game.

I did like playing the game for the extra modes outside of the normal story mode, since they actually offered up some killer objectives and nice gameplay.

To simply state that this game is a 10 out of 10 would do no justice. This game deserves the justice it provides the punisher in representing him how he truly is in this game. Firstly, the enemies you take on and the gruesome ways you kill them embodies what frank castle is about - the character model of the punisher further encompasses him by making him look like a mean SOB. I played this game when I was a kid and I had nightmares because of it - that should tell you how well done Frank's real persona is done in this game.

(2019 review) This game clearly deserves a 10 even almost a decade and a half later. It has really good mechanics that make it fun to shoot the guns. It's gory, has awesome regular kill moves as well as special kills. The characters that show up include Nick Fury, Black Widow, Iron Man, The Kingpin, Bullseye, and Jigsaw (might have forgot one or two). The game has 16 missions probably running 30-45 min each (one mission was about 3 min). It's not a very long game but it's long enough. Perfect length to keep you interested in going back to revisit the missions on a harder difficulty and trying to unlock more upgrades. There were a couple things that could have been better but didn't hinder the fun. Clicking right thumbstick was aim and left trigger was throw grenade, those should have been swapped. I finished the game yesterday and can't remember the other minor things. They really don't matter when you're in the action. I give it a 10 for the game itself as it's great for someone to play even today. And if you're a retro gamer who gets that special enjoyment from older games, it's even better.

What I like most about the game is that encourages you to interact with the environment when killing the enemies. You’ll find yourself laughing at how crazy some of them are! The shooting felt decent, the graphics are a bit dated but don’t feel like an eyesore. Overall, if you like 3rd person shooters with over the top kills, you’ll have fun with this.

The punisher feels most like a beta version of saints row, the game doesn't have satisfied punch to any of the weapons and the interrogation mechanic it get boring fast, and the punisher is boring and doll , I can only recommend it if you're interested in where the first saints row game get it mechanics from
