Solid sound, excellent graphics for what it is, fair writing.

A quality remake that is well worth the price tag.

Strider is a great example of how you can reboot an old arcade game with modern sensibilities and still keep it true to its roots.

It’s like if John Wick was a cybernetic ninja in the future and only used a big knife. The aesthetic and music are cool and go well with the fast pace of the game. My only criticism is that there’s no convenient quick travel between sections of the map so traversing back and forth to look for collectibles can be a drag. Definitely try if you liked Samus Returns.

Nice little update of the classic arcade game that retains Strider Hiryu's fluid acrobatics while throwing in a mild Metroid element as upgrades grant access to new areas. A nice change of pace for those looking for a quick jump and slash.

I know many incompleted indie games that have higher scores than this one. People analyze parts of games for scoring purposes. This game is funnier and more exciting than that one. The map design is very nice and good for exploring. The battle system and monster AI are not perfect, but good enough. I love this game because it has unique speedy gameplay. please release this game to nintendo console.

Strider returns victorious. Great boss fights, responsive controls, interesting level design... those are only some of the elements that make this side-scroller such a success.

It pays homage to every facet of the franchise’s history with its gameplay, and the only way it could do more would be to include the past entries along with all of the older character designs as extras.

A fun 2D metroidvania game. - Excellent combat & traversal system and controls - Good "level & enemy" design and variety - Good map for hunting down power ups - Excellent design on having minimum amount of loading times and waiting to respawn - And a good length for speed runners and completionists for not getting bored with the game Just an excellent game overall. Thanks Double Helix and Capcom.

Definitely worth the money in terms of graphics, gameplay and controls. You have to stay on your toes when it comes to combat, and the variety of enemies is pretty high. You won't be bored and you won't regret having spent the (very affordable amount of) money on it.

Clocking in at around six hours with dozens of cyber unlockables hidden away waiting to be found and giant cyber bosses just begging to be cut down, this cyber ninja comes out slicing and dicing in his return to the proverbial cyber stage.

The Strider franchise rises in the XXI century, thanks to a game that will undoubtedly be one of the downloadables of 2014. Game development is inspired by the best Metroid and Castlevania bidimensional games, resulting in an essential one.

The new Strider isn't a bad game, but it sure isn't on par with the series. Its "metroidvania" style has some pacing problems, and the design feels too generic.

With more variety to its combat and some more time spent smoothing out its rough edges, Strider could have been a significantly better game.

Really good Strider game, even for someone who never played the old ones, anyone who likes the genre can buy the game.

The biggest problem is that it just gets boring after a while , environment are boring and colourless the Combat doesn't have hæft and and it feels like you're supposed to Facetank the damage instead of dodging it , just a boring game

Fun at first but before long it devolves into a repetitive, shallow, and often frustrating mess of an experience. I have no nostalgia for the series and was looking for something along the lines of Shadow Complex, but unfortunately Strider never comes close to that much better game.
