Indiegogo scam. I could even argue this doesn't qualify as a video game. Developers gathered whatever money they could from an Indiegogo campaign, released this piece of crap and later removed it from Steam to leave no trace of their scam.

Don't even think about playing this game. It is one bug infected mess. The developers seem to have abandoned it and are now working on another project. Don't be fooled by the trailer! I bought this game while it was in early access and got two special versions, one for me and one for a friend since it thought this game would be kick-ass and i wanted to support the devs. Then the game suddenly got released without any content and it was slow and unoptimized as hell. Never every again will i buy or play anything from one of the developers. Yes, it is THAT bad.

An unfinished buggy mess. It's not what the community was promised. Probably the best example of how Steam Early Access is actually bad. It became yet another **** open world survival game. Terrible.

I glanced at the game when it was still Early Access and put it aside until recently. I'm pleased to see it's made considerable progress. So far, I've experienced no bugs with the release version. The tutorial system is good and very welcome (it could even be expanded a bit). The game is fairly accessible. I've been able to wander around, enjoy the landscape, and collect some initial resources. Graphically, there's much to admire. I look forward to exploring further!

A ridiculously good looking mod of minecraft with a lot less stuff to do and impossible to play without a clan of friends. The way this game starts off in some alien planet with lower gravity and the need to nourish, survive and find shelter is exactly what was offered and what I received. The only problem is that it should have been kept in early access stage for a few years longer, or should not have been released at all 2014. Based on the content and things to do in the game, I'd say it should have entered the alpha phase just now, not released the game.

The developers of StarForge have ambition, but lack skill. The trailer looks so much better than the release and most people who bought the game fell for it. Maybe the game would have been better if more people bought the early access version, so the developers would haved been able to hire some professionals.

The game is so un-optimised, buggy and unfinished that it's laughable. The developers are now saying that the game is "completed" - yet it plays like dragging a turd through the grass. Avoid it at all costs - and the developer, who quite clearly don't care about it or their customers. Waste of money, waste of time. Jimbo Rating: 0/10

What a scam. I will never buy anything again from this developer. I bought it in early alpha on ground of the trailer (which showed nice and smooth gameplay and graphics) but the released game is just garbage. Stay as far away from this as you can, and to the devs: nice try, but don't put your hobby projects on steam with false promises. 20 bucks down the drain.

The game itself looks good, and would worth 5$ if it were possible to build mega structures and fight your friends there. but whenever your building start looks cool, it will get you 3FPS when looking to **** you can do properly is roam and roam indefinetly (the loading terrain thing is very annoying for a infinite procedural map) if you ever decide to build a block house, you better dont get much attached to it, because whenever you leave for an explore, your base will vanish forever. 1/100 players dont have this issue so its up to you be lucky enough. but even if they fix it or not, the DEVS (Will Sworin specifically) do not deserve anything good from this game. they receieved a huge support from the comunitty back is the day, and all they did was BUY an office (ofc), release obscure non content patches after patches for year and a half, neglecting the community with NDA excuses and last but not least CLAIMING THEY HAVE FINISHED the project and release on steam with gamebreaking critical bugs. steam is involved with this crapmoney grab Will Sworin DO NOT DESERVE more money, he is a criminal

Well, went into it with low expectations, and found a half-decent game to putt around in. Bugs are all over the place & mechanics seem unfinished, but the harvesting, building, exploring/looting are all there. Basically, it plays like the beta **** game. I have my doubts about whether that good game will ever materialize, but in the meantime I'm having *fun*. I got my moneys' worth at 7.50. Props to the devs for pushing out some form of release, both the content & the closure are appreciated.

A full desaster. A game made for stealing cash. A complete rip off. This is not right, it is complete illegal.

Game barely made any progress in the two years; still plays like an alpha. The developers banned anyone who was critical of their game from posting on the STEAM forums to hide this mess **** they've created. Most of the promises from the original STEAM store page have NOT been met. Still feels more like a tech demo than an actual game. 0/10 because it's not even really a game yet.

a almost empty terrain, no real gameplay, shotty graphics, game looks like a kids mod from 1998. Will Sworin Should be banned from the Industry. CodeHatch wont even answer the phone.

An unfinished, buggy, overhyped and disappointing mess ****. There is practically no content and the game is incredibly poorly made in every aspect except graphics, which is what I suspect most of the development time was spent on. A simple example of how dumb this game is: In order to even get started with the tech tree, you need iron or and "oil" (actually misnamed coal). So, where do you find iron and oil? Well, in any decent game it would be semi-evenly spread across the map so the player doesn't have to wander the map for a **** hour before stumbling upon it. Instead, iron and oil as well as most other resources occur simply as giant mounds in a few places on the map. Often you can only find a certain resource in one particular place in a giant map, and there is no way to know where. Or you can dig down 450 **** meters with your torturously slow tier 1 drill in the hopes of finding a tiny amount of iron and probably die in-game or irl before you find it. The construction, one of the central aspects of this sort of game, is utter **** It takes the worst aspects of freeform digging and minecraft voxels and mashes them together. It is practically impossible to reshape terrain in a way that doesn't look like ass and even the simple act of building a basic box house is annoying. Oh, and you can only remove the last five blocks you have placed. If you want to change or remove your building after that, then **** you, apparently. You literally have to use explosives or heavy weapons to remove blocks just to add a window or an internal door. It. Is. Ridiculous. Even Rust was more fun to build in, and Rust was a piece of ****

After Months of Alpha, they just gave up and released the Game. What did we get ? A sometimes good looking graphics Engine, with lots of Bugs/Performance Issues, and strange morphing Terrain. Core gameplay of mining ressources (all overground), wonky building/crafting, clumsy GUI. No real gameplay content. A Handful different enemies who just spawn in and walk around... Loot system thats incredible dumb. Could be a good game if some good developers take over. Not worth any money atm.

A game with a lot of potential but left with a glaring lack of content and polish. The harvest and build aspects of minecraft are there but with sloppy implementation and with the base erase bug, the game **** the will to come back and play more. This one is defiantly a swing and a miss experience. Quite sad could of been an outstanding game!

StarForge is a terrible game. It was an Early Access title for ages and was suddenly released with hardly any content and poor gameplay. It seems as though the developers just gave up. The bottom line is it's not fun, and not worth the $20 asking price.
