Great platformer with charming characters and a quick and nice gameplay style, as well as a fun level design and lot of content.

The best you can find regarding game development simulation out there. It's very solid depth-wise, even if I'd like more content regarding consoles and events, as well as more personalizable actions while creating games, like covers and regions. I would love to see different conventions and real world news, as well as more realistic game development regarding on the era, and real or semi-real game releases, rather than them being randomized based on some IPs. Still, very solid.

It's not necessarily bad. However, it's very tedious to get some levels done (especially Knuckles levels, ugh), and the gameplay can be quite punishing... On your back. Yeah... The Kinect movement detection is not the best. The levels look great and are well designed though, very interesting ideas in them, and fun power ups.

Probably one of the best mascot racers on the system. The story is great and it's well animated. The gameplay is also fun, even if it loses some complexity from the original Riders, the gravity mechanics are cool.

The controls are s bit tedious at first, but once you get used to them, it's a very fun game.

Let's get to the obvious part first: the gameplay is mediocre. Not bad, as it has some fun moments and it's very cool to swing around the sword, but the level design isn't anything special, really. The bosses are also quite bad, you usually win out of pure luck or by trying them over and over again. The graphics are nice though, quite impressive for a Wii game. The cutscenes' storybook style also are lovely. Sonic's characterization and philosophy in life really shows in this game, which I really like. The story is also nice, even if simple at first. I like the plot twist halfway into the story. The whole idea of the battle between Merlina and Sonic is very interesting. The music for this game, like always, rocks. It's very good and energetic. It also makes use quite frequently of leitmotifs, which I really like being used. Quite sad they cancelled the third game in this sub-series, because it could have been great if some improvements in gameplay and level design had been made.

This game is a pain. It's very glitchy. Much so, that going out of the intended path usually makes the game break. Heck, sometimes going though the intended path also makes the game break. The story and characterization could also be much better. Shadow's and Silver's are not bad, in fact, Shadow's is one of my favourite on the whole franchise. However, Silver's and especially Sonic's could be approached in a much better way, with a whole another focus in Sonic's case and without time travel in Silver's case (honestly, as cool as it sounds, it makes things complicated). One thing I have mixed feelings with is the designs. I like, as much as I think it could improve, Sonic's taller and bolder design, as well as the ones for the other two hedgehogs. I don't like, however, the realistic setting of the NPC characters, Eggman or Elise. The level design is, ironically, usually great. Kingdom Valley and Crisis City, when the controls allow you, have some of the most fun platforming sections I've ever seen in a platformer. Without taking the glitches into account, the gameplay is... Mixed, again. I like Blaze's and Sonic's moveset, even if I'd like for the blue blur to be a bit faster. However, going into secondary characters the gameplay gets very bad, with the bottom being Amy's, Knuckles' and Rouge's gameplay. And, for last, I guess I'll talk about what everyone agrees on about this game: the OST kicks. The music themes are so energetic and fitting, not only the ones from the levels but also the cutscenes music. The character's themes also represent the characters well, in my opinion. I especially enjoy listening to His World (theme of Sonic). This game, as weird as it sounds, could have been one of the best games in the franchise if it had had more resources and time. I guess, however, that we'll never know how it could have been.

The Shadow Generations half is a great game, with a great story, fast gameplay, and one of the best level design in the series. The Sonic Generations half is... Also a great game, but it's literally just the same game everyone loved more than a decade ago, nothing new.

Okay, so, your soft reboot from 2006 has failed horribly and the IP's reputation is on the ground. What do you do? Well, first, you make Sonic faster, with a boost bar this time around, which is a great change of pace from the slow Sonic 06 gameplay (not counting the Mach speed sections). Second, you create great large levels inspired by various locations all over the world. Third, you develop a brand new graphical engine so the game looks like a real next-gen game. Fourth, you come up with a great story with a light-hearted tone but a dark story behind it. Fifth, to make things interesting and give the gameplay a twist, you introduce a whole beat em up focused gameplay at night. And that's how you make a great Sonic the Hedgehog game.

Very fun game, both on Singleplayer and multiplayer mode. Large roast of characters, gadgets and tracks with great designs. It feels fast and smooth. I honestly never got hand in hand with Mario Kart's controls, so I like this control scheme. I would have loved voice DLC characters and a story mode, though. Plus, while most dialogues are great, some could be honestly better in representing the characters.

Definitely not a good game but also not a bad game. The story is bland and the characterization is horrible, but the gameplay in most stages, is good (other than the bosses those are very bad).

It's the same great game that was released on the Dreamcast originally, but with various graphical issues that... Make the game look quite worse than it's Sega console counterpart. Still a great game, though.

Great gameplay, great story and great characters. One of the most ambitious games in the franchise, and it paid off. The camera can be tricky but it's not bad at all. The Chao Garden is also a BIG bonus feature.
