Sea of Thieves provides all the necessary tools to the players willing to dive together in great naval adventures, full of smaller quests and epic sea battles.

An amazing world full of promise, but currently rather empty. More updates will be key. [May 2018, p.74]

We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]

Love this game being a pirate in this is so much better than black flag. You control the pirate not just the ship. It has a pretty high skill barrier for entry, but once you get past the hurdles of learning how to sail it is like no other.

Sea of thieves has the potencial to be GOTY its unique and every new player Will love it for sure, but after hitting pirate legend and "completing" the game the lack of content is worringly bad
Ive played this game since beta and the problem is on Rare, this company cant handle and cant manage such a good game, and the principal responsable is microsoft,SOT and rare owners.
Theres no any other activities than doing pvp or quests thatare Boring, the only goal is to win moneyto buy cosméticos but NO ONE CARES.
Theres no progression, nowadays u can't find players to enjoy or "join" to play or beat a kraken or something, this game need attention or if not it Will die

It's a game that should have been developed by Rockstar. Instead, Microsoft and Rare ruined a conceivable game by creating cartoonist nonsense. I consider it an epic failure by Microsoft and a total waste of money.

Sea of thieves is one of a kind, a very rare game that will be a sea of joy for some, and a strange and empty game, that lack some of the basics of modern games for others. For me it's a total success, a game that has filled the hours I've spend playing it with plenty of unforgettable moments.

Sea of Thieves is not yet the dream game. But it is the most important release of the first part of 2018, and not only for Xbox. Rare has created a wonderful world at a technical, audiovisual and gameplay level. But theor work is not yet finished, and now it's time to fill it with all the good ideas they've already shown they can deliver.

There's solid gold to be found here... but so, sadly, is betrayal. Getting the right team is crew-tial. [May 2018, p.74]

Sea of Thieves has glimmers of promise and is gorgeous to look at, but single player play is virtually worthless, and the repetitive nature of the quests and empty world leave the game feeling incomplete and overpriced as of now.

It starts strong and looks stunning throughout, but the missions soon become redundant, while on this stormy seas you’re not only at the mercy of the elements, but the fun you’ll have depends largely on the behaviour of other players. It can be a tremendous pirate adventure with gripping PvP, but can deteriorate to a frustfest, if the other players on the server just want to create chaos.

Rare's piratical playground looks lovely, but you have to make a bit too much of your own fun. The sound and the fury of the waves is lovely, but for Sea of Thieves to be properly good it needs to give the players more to work with.

Perhaps the least forgivable aspect for me, given my love of exploration and discovery in games like these, is that all the islands feel the same. For Sea of Thieves to be a truly unforgettable experience for me I’d have liked to have seen islands and archipelagos that feel lovingly crafted with supreme attention to detail. What we have instead is a map that feels like Rare turned “Generate Game” on once and just ran with what the creator spat out. This, more than anything else, saddens me as it makes things feel even less devoid of life. Islands are too spread out, too samey and too uninteresting leaving the player with a, “seen one, seen them all” feeling.

The best co-op multiplayer adventure I have ever played! There is so much to do!
The game is always engaging and packed with action but it can be soothing in other activities.
The Pirated of the Caribbean collaboration is a cherry on top.

well the game is gorgeous. but the development team is garbage. they dont treat the community and the game the way they should. they added so many unnecessary things when we actually needed a lot of performance and gameplay improvements. But still if you like the idea of being a pirate this game is **** is immersive. But i really dont know the old sea of thieves was better it was not that complex and had a lot more excitement everyone was excited for everything even for a megalodon or a kraken but after a good amount of time game is not offering too much. you see a kraken and you re like wow what a creature but when you see it for 500 times and with the same animations and same tacticts to win against well you re getting bored this game is a wasted potential at all that's all i can tell you about it. but give it a try be a pirate legend maybe. Then don't sweat just play if you want it gets boring. Don't grind just play if you want

At its heart, Sea of Thieves revolves around the thrill of exploration and the hunt for treasure. Players set sail across a beautiful, open world filled with islands, shipwrecks, and hidden coves, all packed with treasures to be found. While on these voyages, you can encounter various threats, including rival players who may be looking to steal your loot, or AI-controlled enemies like skeleton crews that provide exciting combat **** shared-world nature of Sea of Thieves adds an unpredictable element to your journeys. You never know when you might cross paths with another crew, which can lead to tense standoffs or full-blown naval battles. The freedom to play either cooperatively or competitively keeps the gameplay dynamic, as your treasure hunts may end in epic victories or heartbreaking **** of the game's most thrilling aspects is the random encounters with legendary sea monsters. You might be peacefully sailing with a hold full of treasure when suddenly the waters turn dark, and the Kraken's tentacles emerge from the deep. Or you may hear the ominous growl of the Megalodon stalking your ship. One of the standout features of Sea of Thieves is its highly detailed and enjoyable navigation system. Steering your ship is not just a matter of pointing in the right direction and hitting “go.” Instead, it involves a range of ship management tasks: raising and lowering sails, adjusting their angle to catch the wind, managing the anchor, and even patching up holes when your ship takes **** collaborative nature of managing a ship with a crew of friends makes this experience especially fun. Each crew member has a role, from helming the ship to navigating using the map, or managing the cannons during combat. The sense of teamwork needed to successfully sail and survive in the open world is one of the game’s most satisfying elements. While Sea of Thieves nails the navigation and exploration aspects, the combat system leaves much to be desired. Whether fighting other players or AI-controlled enemies, the melee and ranged combat can feel unsatisfying and overly simplistic. The melee combat, in particular, often devolves into repetitive and "spamy" exchanges where players simply mash attack buttons rather than using any sort of strategy or **** some players, the experience of sailing the high seas in Sea of Thieves can come with an unfortunate side effect: motion sickness. The game’s realistic ship movement, combined with the rolling waves and constant swaying, can cause dizziness or nausea for those prone to motion sickness. Spending extended periods navigating the ocean can exacerbate this, especially during storms or rough seas, when the ship’s motion becomes even more pronounced.

Boring. Thats all you need to know. This game is painfully boring. Nothing you do has value since there is no progression system. You never feel like you are making progress in anything, getting stronger, or anything

Very nice concept, graphics are amazing, smart ai characters BUT I think they missed the whole point ****: making it fun. There is no objective in the game, and if you face opponents older than a five year old (pretty rare) than the whole battle depends on who lands the first shot. Awfully tragic combat mechanics. And that's the best part! Apart from the mid tall tales (with no reward) the game is SOOO BORING likethe first 5 hours is pretty fun but the events are really repetitive. Toxic community, boring and pointless gameplay, it's just simply bad. Also the price is outrageous, I don't understand how can they ask for more than 5€ for this ****
