Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island delivers a unique and heartwarming adventure with its creative take on Greek mythology and engaging relationship-building mechanics. Despite some minor performance issues, it remains a delightful, cozy experience.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is an engaging and hugely enjoyable follow up to Röki. The characters you meet throughout allow you to discover the gods of Greek mythology in fun, unique ways, and there's plenty to discover as you explore this mysterious island. Mythwrecked comes highly recommended.

Very relaxing game that taps into that "just a few more minutes, let me find another couple of things" part of your brain. Beautiful music! Don't sleep on it.

I was a big fan of their first game Röki so I was excited to try the follow up and I was pleased to find all of the charm and whimsy has remained. This is the quintessential cosy game, it's such a nice world to spend time in with wonderful relaxing music and a lovely flat shaded art style. The gameplay loop is satisfying without being too taxing which makes it the perfect game to unwind with or to enjoy with your kids.

Mythwrecked presents an original take on the Greek pantheon that turns them into likeable, relatable people with grounded issues, and a very solid gameplay loop that makes the entire thing go down smoothly. Unfortunately, it's hampered by a lack of narrative emphasis and a main character that doesn't get much of her own development.

Even if the versions of Zeus, Hera, and Ares are a lot more pleasant here than they are in, say, God of War, there’s not really anything about that – or this game – that makes Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island worth recommending.

A gentle cadence and quirky characters can't counter Mythwrecked's repetitiveness, making this more Greek tragedy than odyssey.

I loved Röki, and was keen to see the next game from the developers. Mythwrecked shares the same charm and sense of place, this time built around a cosy gaming experience that ended up teaching me more than a thing or two about the Greek gods! Without spoiling anything, the final act ratchets up the urgency and builds to a fulfilling and surprising finale. I wanted answers to the game's central mystery and was left satisfied. It's also refreshing to see more games crafted around discovery and helping others; the whole family can enjoy this game. I loved escaping the winter nights for a couple of weeks with Mythwrecked. The length is just the right for it's concept, and for those wanting more there's replay value in side-quests revealed along the way. Highly recommended and can't wait to see what Polygon Treehouse are working on next!

I totally loved playing Mythwrecked. Yes it is an adventure game where you have to complete quests to make progress but it has a lovely unique feel and atmosphere which makes it stand out. I played their previous game Roki and like that, this has a strong story and excellent animation with loads of detail and interesting things to look at and explore. It's also genuinely relaxing to play as there's no threat or danger to give you stress. The puzzles are taxing enough to make them a challenge and make you feel smart when you solve them but not so difficult that you get a migraine/screen rage. And then there's the unfolding story. You genuinely want to progress to find out what is going on. A real gem, really well put together and polished. Looking forward to their next game.
