MULLET MADJACK is a single-player fast-paced FPS that brings you directly inside a CLASSIC ANIME. Power up your character and reach the last floor; Beat your best time or try again. Haste makes waste… OF YOUR ENEMIES!
Overall, I had a blast and then some. This game is like if Cyberpunk 2077 and Doom (1994) had a baby and it was raised by Ultrakill. Mullet MadJack is an incredibly artistic spin on an already expansive boomer-shooter genre. The combat is lighting fast, the setting engaging, the visuals striking, and the violence plentiful. Mullet MadJack is exactly the type of game that your parents would worry about you getting your hands on as a kid. Or at least I assume so, I didn’t grow up in an era in which Congress was so bored it turned its sights on pixelated blood.
Mullet Mad Jack is a hyper stylized shooter with a lot under the hood. The simple yet addicting gameplay loop is more than enough to keep players engaged for the long term.
Mullet Madjack is a simple but fun and frantic FPS with a great stylized approach and engaging gameplay. The game has retrofuture anime vibes that come with great music and atmosphere. It might not blow you away, but it will give you an opportunity to play as a power fantasy 80s movie action hero. Who could say no to that?
There’s nothing like Mullet MadJack on the market, and it’s a must-have for your collection. Run, slide, and shoot in a race against time where the countdown is just as deadly as the enemies you face. You might risk frying your brain... but all in all, it’s a sacrifice well worth the effort.
Even though the story is a bit over-the-top, the Mullet Mad Jack’s self-awareness and humor, combined with its addictive and well-crafted gameplay, kept me thoroughly entertained.
It took me about four hours to play through Mullet Mad Jack and after about half of my playing time, I felt pretty fed up with the monotonous environments and the corridors that everything takes place in.
While Mullet MadJack might have filled my brain with dopamine, reminded me about the dangers of consumerism and capitalism, and left me smiling ear to ear for the full 4 or so hours that I played it for, I don't think I'll be revisiting it much in the years to come. Levels already become repetitive during the campaign, with their sameness only being exacerbated after I died at about floor 28 of endless mode. And while the game is undeniably fun, with it very cleverly building upon its main gameplay loop for the full length of its campaign, it (in my opinion) doesn't do enough for me to wholeheartedly recommend it at the full 20€ price tag.
Now people only care about graphics or art disappointment.
Only worth 3 dollar or watch it on utube.
- 2 - 2:30 hour long. -very very very repetitive short expensive little roguelite 1st person shooter timer game, very very repetitive samy little simple level design, little enemies type, little weapons, disappointment easy bosses, boring little permanent upgrades and glitches. -only good graphics and cutsences.
Nailed the aesthetics and soundtrack, no doubt. The game kind of blows it's load in the first 10-20 minutes, though, as you've already seen basically everything the game has to offer. I became bored about halfway through the first level and uninstalled after I died on the second. I guess it's meant to appeal to the audience it's mocking.
