Mousecraft is the lovechild of Tetris and Lemmings, although it's nowhere near as addicting. It's a creative idea, with fun mechanics, and well worth a try, but the difficulty goes up and down too rapidly, because the game introduces new mechanics a bit too often.

MouseCraft is a puzzle game “like they used to make”, without portal guns and time manipulation. Its only downside is a badly-designed UI.

It's smart, it's humorous and the only thing it really lacks is a unique charm. Its replayability is a great boon, though. [Issue#244]

Here is my MouseCraft Video Review: ****/kQ-RtPl9AuI Has Mousecraft succeeded with the bold idea to combine seemingly incompatible puzzle genres as Lemmings and Tetris? There are many positives on the game - original idea that works, adding new features as the player progresses through the game, good level design, gradually increasing learning curve, challenging yet not frustrating difficulty, user friendly interface and controls and beautiful graphics. I have not found many downsides there - dull story, rather generic music and absence of some form of local multiplayer. Thanks to its easy accessibility, non-violent character, short levels and good puzzle design Mousecraft is definitely the kind of game suitable for family playing. Pros: - original and working idea - continuously adding new features - level design - gradually increasing learning curve - difficulty - interface and controls - graphics Cons: - story - music - no local multiplayer I like the developers that have enough courage to experiment with genres and combine them into something new that seemingly cannot work. Crunching Koalas have done the great job this time and realized one of such ideas almost flawlessly. I am therefore giving Mousecraft Thumbs Up and VideoGaming Father’s Index 8+ out of 10 - recommended!

I get a very Lemmings feeling with this game. It looks like a mix of Lemmings with some tetris elements. Mousecraft is funny and challenging, unfortunately I had several crashes during my game sessions that can be very annoying and frustrating. First time when I tried to finish a level created I crash, and after several times when I tried to restart a level happen me the same. But overall the game is ok! The graphics and the music are very nice, can be a great experience for those who like puzzle games.

I had been looking for something like Lemmings, which I have hugely-positive nostalgia-feelings about, and one of my friends recommended I check this one out. I'm so glad I did! The art style has a lot of the charm of the original Lemmings, and the gameplay is interesting and progressively challenging. In short, it's a delightful time-waster!

MouseCraft is a fun game, but the difficulty seems to skew a bit on the easy side with the ability to pause mid-level and undo any action. Still, unlocking new obstacles every few stages keeps things fresh, and going for perfect levels will force you to stop and think about how to do things--as opposed to just laying a few blocks and calling it a day.

Players looking for a solid set of approachable, easy-to-learn and tougher-to-master puzzles will find a lot on offer in MouseCraft, not to mention the unlimited potential of player-built levels to surpass its initial 80 offerings.

As a former Lemmings player I expected this game to be good. It was very good value for money. Combining Lemmings with Tetris and putting that concept into perspective really does make it a great looking puzzler. The Graphics are great, tutorials are easy to follow, and sharp controls. The Learning curve isn't too steep; it is just right. I particularly love the level editor. It's very easy to create levels and certainly a fun idea to experiment with different elements. Very easy and fun to experiment with, and you can be as ambitious or as simplistic as you want. You can choose one of four backgrounds (which also affect the look of the terrain) and how long you want your level to be. The only downfalls are that you can't create high levels and that there is no multiplayer whatsoever. Despite that however I believe this is overall a solid puzzler that's worth a try.

While many games will borrow elements from the classics in an attempt to become a spiritual successor to some popular title, MouseCraft manages to pay homage to its inspirations while retaining an identity all its own.

MouseCraft is a nice puzzle game, with some very difficult parts, and with simple and immediate handling. However, the artistic direction is far from unforgettable.

Mousecraft is a mix between a puzzle platformer and Tetris. You have to guide a number of mice through different levels without them dying. game has a nice art design and the gameplay is smooth. However, it becomes repetitive after the first hour and sometimes becomes frustrating if you get stuck on a level.
SummaryEver wondered what a cross between Tetris and Lemmings would look like? Well, wonder no more, 'cause... MouseCraft is here! MouseCraft is an A to B puzzle game where players help mice in their relentless quest for cheese by stacking the world's most famous blocks: Tetrominos.
