Minami Lane
Minami Lane is the sort of game that is perfect for people-watchers. It’s leisurely. Meeting criteria for missions is never taxing. There are no penalties for taking your time. It’s just a short, relaxing experience that lets you feel like you’re helping to make a small town better.
Minami Lane is a nice-looking, bite-sized town management game that offers an engaging slice of gameplay for a very low price.
Minami Lane is a testament to the charm and depth indie games can offer. With its engaging blend of management and strategy wrapped in an irresistibly-cute package, it's a delightful journey that invites players to create, manage and grow their little slice of paradise. The presence of a talking tanuki guide is just the cherry on top, adding a unique, whimsical touch that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Minami Lane. Whether you're strategizing your next build in Mission and Planner Mode or freely decorating in Creative Mode, Minami Lane will surely captivate and charm your heart.

I liked the idea, but completing the objectives/missions is very hard, maybe just not my type of game, I couldn't complete it because I couldn't make both old people & young people happy. Customizing your buildings & making your own little town square is fun, changing recipes becomes annoying when you can't satisfy everyone. Petting cats, & cleaning up trash while time lapse is a cool way to force you to stay active while you wait for the day to finish up, speed up buttons was nice to make mission days go by faster, art was pretty, but overall after the first 2 missions i stopped having fun & then got stuck on mission 3 for hours where I eventually gave up, the made the game way too hard for what it is, almost like they purposely did that to make the game seem bigger/longer.

I accidentally rated this game twice and don't know how delete one of my ratings. That is my bad.

A cute little game that has exactly the right length, esp. for someone like me that normally speaking does not play sim games.

It’s true there’s not much to Minami Lane, but this is a fine example of wholesome gaming: simple, engaging and wonderfully relaxing. The fact it’s been made by such a small team makes it all the better. Don’t come here expecting an in-depth city building experience, but if a few hours of cosiness appeals, we’re pretty sure you’ll have a fine old time.

A cozy enough time, a killer little soundtrack loop in this bite sized experience.
