Mega Man X4 felt like the last and final great game of the X series Mega Man X4 was groundbreaking on the PS1 it had smooth controllers entertaining stages bigtime bosses which were fun difficult and fast paced including the power ups and the endgame armor which is very useful the game also has a banger opening soundtrack in the opening stage the levels all have a bigtime soundtrack that is quick and fast paced it feels this is my full review my IGN review is 10/10 and I highly recommend this game bigtime while not perfect as only some flaws can be seen its a fun game so i will see you guys later I hope you enjoyed this review.

More complete, more pleasant, bigger and better than the precedent episodes (and a bit more of story too).

Amazing and fast paced action, rewarding you for your ability to shimmy on past levels with ease. Stages have a certain design that perfectly utilizes characters abilities to their fullest, making each playthrough feel different, despite running through the same levels. However, Bosses can be a drag and are tanky for no reason, most being ridiculously easy with or without weaknesses. I often feel no sense of accomplishment when defeating these bosses as I would when i beat a robot master in classic series. Beyond all of this, I believe there is a pretty solid game here and is perfect if you want to play megaman games with a less brutal difficulty.

This is the almost perfect evolution the series needed. Beautiful new 2D graphics, two characters with different abilities (and slightly different campaigns), a good soundtrack, a more developed storyline, balanced difficulty, the ability to save game progress, and finally, "checkpoints" (even in the final stages). The stages are larger, with good variety in challenges. The armor for X is one of the best in the series, without a doubt. The gameplay with Zero makes the game more challenging due to his close-range attacks, and the fact that not all bosses are heavily vulnerable to the techniques learned (yes, unlike X, Zero learns combat techniques when defeating bosses). What’s missing? The game saves could include the state of energy tanks and lives (yes, it’s still annoying to redo the last stage multiple times and have to recollect everything before trying again). The American dubbing isn’t great. Despite some flaws, Mega Man X4 is one of the best, if not the best, game in the series.
