Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Ultimate Edition

The Ultimate edition is an amazing package well worth the price. I never played the original spider man on PS4 so I was able to enjoy the remastered version on PS5 which was amazing. The gameplay, graphics, sound design and story were excellent. After spending hours with the game I was left wanting more and hence the DLC (The City That Never Sleeps) addition came in handy; it was simply amazing. Following this I played Miles Morales which to my surprise improved on an already amazing experience with improved gameplay, graphics and use of the DualSense Controller on PS5. This is one of the best game packages your money can buy. I would highly recommend for any PS5 owners.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Ultimate Edition is, well, the ultimate PS5 game to date. Included in this bundle are Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Spider-Man is not just the best superhero game ever released. It's one of the best games ever released, and my personal favorite over the past decade or so. I rarely replay games, but I've played this one 4 times (twice each on both PS4 and PS5) and got the Platinum Trophy twice. The gameplay, the story, the characters, the technology, the audio, every element of this game is of very high quality. Fan service is also abundant, where most of the significant Spider-Man characters are present, and even Stan Lee makes a sweet MCU-style cameo. Also included is the 3-part "The City That Never Sleeps" Season Pass. Miles Morales is the same game at its core, but with a new protagonist, new moveset, new enemies, and a smaller campaign. I wasn't too impressed by this spin-off compared to the first game because it's not paced as well as the original due to its shorter duration (it's not a question of quantity over quality, rather just less quality overall), but it's still a great game on its own (got the Platinum Trophy on that one, too). I can't praise the developers of Insomniac Games enough. Their work is absolutely top-class, and IMHO they have become better than Sony's other top studios such as Naughty Dog and Sony Santa Monica. They initially released these games with 2 options to play (Performance at 60 fps and Quality with Ray Tracing at 30 fps), and soon after launch managed to patch a 3rd mode (RT Performance) which offers the best of both worlds (Ray Tracing at 60 fps with close to 1080p resolution). I wouldn't recommend anyone buy the standard Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on its own at full price because it's a rather short game for the price. But the Ultimate Edition is a much better deal. For a little more money you also get one of the best games ever released, and to be frank Spider-Man is a better overall game than Miles Morales.

Spider Man Miles Morales Ultimate Edition was totally worth it. I bought it for $50 on Amazon sale. Just wish it had a longer campaign like the Spider Man Remastered. - Twisted Crate - ****
