Xbox Series X Critic Reviews

FOUNTAINS is a dark, cruel, and often tough experience. It made me want to scream and quit, but I loved its brutal ways. If you adore a testing and often maddening title, this is right up your street.

FOUNTAINS may be challenging but it's done so well that you'll constantly be compelled to push forward as you reveal the massive map.

A surprisingly enjoyable blend of soulslike combat and metroidvania exploration, with a cleverly interconnected world that constantly rewards curiosity. Its map and occasional difficulty spikes can be frustrating, but the satisfying combat, charming pixel art and Shattered Shape expansion make this small indie adventure well worth discovering.
