This is the game I was expecting back in November. Now I can finally recommend DOOM to friends without having to append a mountain of caveats! [Issue #33 – May/June 2018, p. 74]

Technically this port is so impressive that sometimes it’s hard to believe it actually exists. It’s the game itself that I have some issues with, as in my opinion its campaign is encumbered by elements that sometimes unnecessarily slow down Doom’s fantastic pace. [01/2018, p.53]

It’s not a perfect port. For those looking to play DOOM purely on the big screen, the Switch version’s janky visuals make it difficult to recommend. Yet, if you’re looking for a portable version of one of the best shooters in recent memory, DOOM thoroughly deserves to be the blood-soaked outlier lurking in your Switch library.

un gioco che genera una soddisfazione unica grazie al suo gameplay incredibilmente fluido e solido e una campagna principale niente male. 9.4/10

One of the best FPS shooters. It's a great remaining/soft reboot of Doom; keeping all of the great elements from the og yet updating it for the modern area

It can’t match the visuals of other releases, but at the same time I don’t think it makes any major sacrifices that keep the experience from being enjoyable. Just be aware that there is a considerable difference between the Switch and PS4/Xbox One versions visually, and I think you’ll be fine.

If you are a seasoned DOOM player, there’s nothing new to see here, but the portability aspect could lure you in. If you are brand new to DOOM and own a Switch, it’s worth picking up. It’s fast, it’s fun, there’s tons of content, and it’s an extremely solid port of a technical beast.

Doom's core appeal is in the gameplay: extremely fast paced, cconstantly switching to different weapons and moving around, it feels challenging, very satisfying and kinda unique when you compare to other FPS games. I loved it!

The thing is, the UI is so tiny in handheld mode I can barely read the words and button prompts. It's pretty easy to just miss button prompts altogether. When docked to a TV, this isn't a problem at all, but it's quite frustrating on the go. I can only imagine how difficult this would be for someone with worse vision than my own.

Doom is still one of the best first person shooters out there and the limited power provided by Nintendo Switch can't change this. Despite its ridiculous resolution and its low FPS, you can now enjoy the experience in full portability thanks to this porting.

Bethesda did it -- they ported Doom to a Nintendo console. It might not be the prettiest version, but it works, and it was enough to get me to play it all over again.

I never thought I would actually recommend a first person shooter that runs in 720p and below that and in 30FPS, but here I am actually liking the game. Doom is still Doom with the fast paced action we all know and love and the great music and OST. It's true that there are some framerate and audio issues with the game but still, kudos to Panic Button for creating this amazing port.

DOOM suffers some undeniable downgrades in graphical fidelity on Switch, which anyone could've predicted. It's when these downgrades effect enjoyment of the game, however, that one starts to wonder if it was all worth it.

excelente juego,la historia no es la gran cosa (Aunque su final tiene un gran giro) lo mejor por lejos es el gameplay

A great game for those who love the genre. If you like just slaughtering hellish demons in blood and gore, you will enjoy this game incredibly. For me, it's a bit insufficient. I know the game is good, but I want some story, characters and missions. Just gameplay is not enough.

The campaign and music is hella good! The snapmap is also easy and great if you want to get creative and with the tutorials you can learn how to use it in a couple of minutes. I gave it 7 because the multiplayer isn't matching with the game like halo 4 multiplayer because the same company helped make both of the multiplayers. THE GAME IS GREAT don't let multiplayer piss you off and make you don't buy it. IT'SFREE ON PS PLUS EXTRA SUBSCRIPTION

It's a boring game, it doesn't satisfy me at all as a woman and it has a lot of bugs, the mechanics are heavy, I don't recommend it.

The dead zone is set so high on the joysticks that I feel like I'm playing with an old overused N64 controller. I need to push the Pro Controller joystick something like 50% out before the character even starts moving.
