What makes it great is the fantastic level design and AI, the solid cut-scenes and storyline, the inventive character abilities and the fact that the designers have squeezed so much into it.

Striking graphics, realistic environments, interesting and diverse characters--what’s not to like? Really nothing.

It’s got a great setting, suitable music, familiar characters, and enough challenge for the stoutest player. However, if you’re easily frustrated you may want to think before making this purchase.

I loved the fact that the characters know how to hide behind corners, pop out to shoot and then return to cover immediately, and the fact that you have to calm your hand for some time before you can fire a sniper-shot.

An engaging storyline, high-quality cut-scenes, a cast of unique heroes and a whole stampede of missions make Desperados a shining silver star.

An incredibly fun and stylish game.

The reason the score isn’t higher is because in the second mission of the game I found the subject matter of race not too politically correct for the times we live in. Other than that, this game is as pretty and fun as those vivacious saloon gals that I love so much.

Very polished and well developed.

Billed as a real-time, team-based, adventure, strategy game, it may sound as though it suffers from an identity crisis. Yet if you are enthralled by solving puzzles and have an infinite amount of patience, this game is for you.

While it's impossible to overlook the game's unforgiving level of difficulty, it is often very entertaining.
