As Arkane’s been acquired by Xbox, this is its first and last PS5 exclusive. But what better parting gift than a perfect day you could happily live again and again? [Issue#6, p.72]
Rich in detail and brilliantly designed, Deathloop brings new life into a familiar story trope. It's polished game mechanics help Deathloop remain intriguing and challenging at all times, which makes it a paramount addition to the new PS5 game library.
Ngl sometimes I think gamers again and again are too hard on games, but I get it for ambitious games like this. I thought this game was just awesome, its original, the endings make sense, the loops are confusing at first and I did have to look up a YouTube video to figure out the full loop and get the true good ending. The combat is classic Bethesda, this company does get the mechanics and environmental story telling down every single game, it's a strong suit. I can't really find anything bad about this game; it is ambitious but it's not pacific drive it pays out at the end. 99% of movies and games with a time loop plot lines usually require some complexity and highbrow though, so it does that well. The last thing it does well that's pretty original is both the antagonists and the time loop setting, the antagonists have great backstories and feel to them and the setting (rich person science island) is fairly original across the board. If you haven't played the game its worth it.
Deathloop is one of the most innovative games from a major publisher that I’ve ever played, using the time loop mechanic to fantastic effect. With lots of clever puzzles and engaging combat, as well as a genius multiplayer element, this is one of the best games of 2021 yet.
If you've been waiting for the PlayStation 5's first true killer app, this is it. Deathloop is an innovative and satisfying take on the shooter genre that you can't afford to miss. Developer Arkane Studios has managed to take Dishonored's rock-solid foundation and hone it to a razor's edge. With a rewarding progression system and a gameplay loop that encourages experimentation and exploration, you can't help but wonder why Colt would ever want to break this cycle. Sprawling, cerebral, and consistently exciting, Deathloop deserves a spot in every shooter fan's PS5 library.
A rich and diversified gameplay is at the heart of Deathloop, the like Arkane is known for, but the studio, or Bethesda is too shy of letting the player explore by himself et ruin the pleasure of exploration. Also, the invasion mechanism is a little too... invasive.
Deathloop is in a weird spot. It isn't as good as Dishonored, but I also don't expect to see another game in the series. If you want to support the studio or need a Dishonored fix, this will help...but honestly, the game isn't that fun.
un très bon jeu a faire déjà graphiquement et techniquement réussi un gunplay vraiment cool une durée de vie conséquente et un scénario captivant à suivre
Deathloop is a stylish and inventive first-person shooter from Arkane Studios that blends time-loop mechanics with immersive-sim gameplay. Players step into the shoes of Colt, an assassin trapped on the island of Blackreef, reliving the same day over and over as he hunts down eight key targets to break the loop. The game’s unique premise, stylish aesthetic, and fluid gunplay make for an engaging experience, but a lack of true freedom, repetitive elements, and an underwhelming payoff keep it from being a masterpiece.
Very cool concept, but that's the main thing. It tries to have a similar gameplay feel to dishonoured but just falls short in that regard, and once you figure out the best way to go about things it becomes repetitive, no real reason to play through it again either once you've discovered everything
IGN is bought and paid for, and this game is proof. I picked up this game due to the perfect 10/10 score on IGN. What I got was a worthless FPS with some of the clunkiest weapons and gameplay I have ever seen, no enemy variety, maps that were repetitive, and a silly premise that felt mildly funny at best and gut-wrenchingly annoying at worst. I don't recommend this game for any reason and strongly advise that you disregard the critics' reviews as they have no basis in reality and obviously appeal to some kind of forced agenda.
It honestly feels like we are taking crazy pills for not admiting this game was a miss and dissapointment. Let's admit it now, enough years have passed. It was a miss.
