Dcs World is one of the best combat flight simulators based on the Su 25 T and it’s incredibly free. If you own a Joystick you should give it a try.

I'm a F-16C Viper main, before DCS I played MSFS on the PMDG 737-800. DCS has blown my mind, after 2 months i've almost learnt all the theory, which I can't yet fully implement into missions. This sim is not for a person who wants to fly around and shoot missiles to get better planes, it's rather meant for people willing to not only invest $80 into a plane and a couple hundred for a HOTAS, but also months of their time learning the specifc module. You are in no way rewarded by the game, but rather rewarded by the fact that you did something. The free aircraft being the SU-25T and P-51D are Flaming Cliffs 3 quality, good for people willing to spend weeks instead of months per plane, although they are a good starting point I highly suggest investing into a higher fidelity module (A-10, F-16, F-14, FA-18, F4, F15) for a more immersive experience. Two maps included with the game being the Caucasus and Marianas map are very good maps, Caucasus depicting Georgia and Crimea, and the Marianas map being south of Japan, other DLC maps such as Afghanistan, Kola, Syria, Normandy, Persian Gulf are definietly a visual upgrade, however they can come at a cost of performance. Physics wide, it depends, some planes have poor physics while some include a PFM (Professional flight model) making the experience better. Damage models are not exactly 100% correct, however they do their job quite darn well. DCS is best experienced with a friend or in MP, however SP includes a simple mission editor allowing you to create any scenario you want. Although not perfect, currently best on the commercial market, 10/10.

This is the game that got me into goofing over aircraft and now I smell like pancake mix

Very nice game with stunning graphics! The DLCs are pretty expensive but they're totally worth it! And you can still have A LOT of fun with the free modules and free mods made by the community, such as the community A-4E-C or VSN's F-4C

This game is probably the most amazing game I've ever played. I recently bought Microsoft Flight Simulator and wow, what a difference between the two. I don't think most people who have played MSFS actually have played DCS, there is such a large difference in how fluid and quality DCS is compared to MSFS. Obviously, DCS has its problems. I really wish DCS would just steal the whole satellite imaging of the world idea instead of making individual landmasses that aren't even as quality as the MSFS versions. I could write a 10 page review of both the simulators but the bottom line is that DCS has true longevity; it captivates in a borderline addictive fashion. I don't know if I will ever get tired of it. MSFS on the other hand is good for a few hours of messing around in. It has a few cool gimmicks and impressive visuals for the landscapes. That's pretty much it. DCS was the underdog fighting a mega corporation and somehow, it has created the vastly superior product. I guess it says something about what a small team of dedicated individuals can do compared to a giant corporation that is likely full of bloat such as Microsoft. PS: You will need a controller if you want to play with the "low fidelity" aircraft such as the SU-25t. Of course, a joystick also wouldn't hurt. However, you will definitely need a joystick and HOTAS if you plan on buying the "high fidelity" aircraft that are modeled after the real thing and every switch and button can used. Additionally, this is a game but it also isn't. It takes itself very seriously and doesn't hold your hand all that much. Be ready to train, read, and watch a few videos. I know that sounds like a chore, but once you start it will become exciting to learn about, not a chore at all.

Free but complicated to play it only with the controller and I also have a latency problem and the worst part is that the game was released in 2008 and I manage to run much more recent games, So conclusion the game is not very well optimized ... 404 not found when posting my review = https://metacriticz.pages.dev/game/pc/raft ****/bou_mouse

great realtic and educative simulator. support gamepad but gampad buttons not enough to assign enough controls like engine righ left start lights opens etc. undterstanding ground bombs kinda hard and bugy in training. game more advance than mfs. ı dont know but only dont have air carrier in free version. you have one plane in free version but ı managed to add f16 and f15 su27 free mods which totaly looks fine and work free flight mode wit others ai only you have to manually select fire arms in detailed edit menu. hdr ,depthoffield and motion blur effects realy rocks in this game when they works you dont feel annoying textures like mfs and others. one of the best jet simulators between novalogic f22 in steam.

If you buy F/A-18C Hornet and A-10C Warthog. You can enjoy. But not ejoyable for me. Because no dnymaic campaign (like BMS) and too many shortcomings there. Cheers.

A free to play flight fighter sim. Has a lot going for it, but poor feature implementation and greedy payment model means the game is just not going to take off. Pros: Damage model looks great, where even the tires blow up if you land too hard. Feels more or less realistic. Not a real pilot so cant say. Cons: Training doesn't work, and only shows you a low quality clip Control configurations are all bunched together. So to find a weapons system you have to guess what it's called and then scroll through 100+ tags to find what you are looking for. Breaks don't stop the plane, so you have to land right at the beginning of the landing strip to have any chance of stopping. The missions have no immersion, no voice acting, no plot, no subplot. Basically feels like Flight Sim but without the scenarios where there was actual plot and story and voice acting. THE WORST THING IS THE PRICING! Don't be fooled by free to play, (and this is why people dislike free to play). You get one airplane and a few missions. But to fly anything else, you have to buy it with real money. However, any other plane in the game costs $40. !?!?!?!?! Where do they come up with these numbers? To make it worse there are only 2 other planes to fly. A P-51 and A-10. And you have a KA-52 helicopter you can buy for $40 This game is not worth $120 At $30 maybe but not at list price.
SummaryFeel the excitement of flying the Su-25T "Frogfoot" attack jet in the free-to-play Digital Combat Simulator World! DCS World is a vehicle combat simulation game created by an inspired development team. DCS World uses a powerful engine that delivers realistic gameplay.
