Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition
If you like a good set of murder mysteries featuring a consistent cast of characters, Danganronpa is one of the best places to get that experience, and this sequel is no different in that regard.
Even sicker and more delightfully disturbing than the marvellous original, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair doesn't match its predecessor in some ways but makes up for its shortcomings in others. Once again we'd argue that the journey is better than the destination — we thought the first game's ending was nearly incomprehensible rubbish and this one is even worse. But it's absolutely a journey well worth taking, as the brilliant cast and smart murder mystery gameplay once again sucked us in and didn't let go. An aesthetic and narrative treat, Danganronpa 2 is an easy recommendation and we're delighted it's finally made the leap to Switch.

Un gioco che a mio parere parte davvero male e si riprende fino a farti ricredere, i **** sono tutti molto curati rispetto al predecessore, tutti hanno 6 free time, c'è la school mode più agevolata e c'è un minigame con Monomi.

I feel like this game tried to one up the first because it did a very good job at doing so, the new characters are way more varied and their abilities come a lot more into play, while I think this game has highs it also has very low lows... Chapter 3. Other than that I loved the story and the direction they chose to go in, even if the exposition could be boring at times

This game is definitely better than the first. The characters are more likeable (with 2 exceptions), and the story is just as interesting as before. This game is also a lot longer than the first. The first took me 25 hours, and this took me 40. I see that as both a good an bad thing. I will say it is amazing that they would sell such a long game for so cheap, especially if you purchase all 4 games in the physical edition, which I did. Unfortunately, the problem of trials dragging on too long is even worse here. Fortunately, they added breaks in the middle of trials, but now it just feels like 2 back to back trials of the same length as the first game. It's not perfect, but it's an improvement over an already great game, and it's a must play for story lovers.

It's both better and worse than Trigger Happy Havoc at the same time. The plot twists are better, but the motives aren't as good. Trials have a better challenge to them but Chapter 4's was a bit **** with the Octagon stuff, but otherwise they were better over all. Chapter 3 didn't make sense in the slightest but that's basically to be expected from a rushed script. The new Trial mechanics were cool. The "Improved" Hangman's Gambit wasn't much of an improvement, though it was fun. Logic Dive is one of the best minigames in the series, forcing you to react fast while thinking the case through. Rebuttal Showdowns were a nice change of pace too. Overall a better game than THH, but some plot-points could've been thought through better. 9/10 Would recommend if you played the first one. Would Dangan again.

Took 40 hours to finish. Beautifully written story and lengthy story, not just a bunch of pointless glamorized generic battle Royale. I definetly cried a few times over some of the big story beats. Absolutely loved the sense of humor too, really helped lighten up some of the more intense moments in the plot. Amazing characters were definitely the main feature of this game along with this bonkers of a plot. I seriously just cared so much about all of them and would get so stressed out. Only downside is sometimes the game didn't feel well optimized for the switch. It stuttered a bit and Im not a huge FPS nerd but the frames sometimes would drop enough that it's make me a lil sick. Luckily it was only a few times. Also the touch screen on the switch if utilized could have really helped with some of these janky controls. There was many opportunities where a touch screen would have been amazing for. I struggled with navigating the controls a few times. Overall this story was so good that I'll definitely remember it for a good long while and so happy I got to experience such good writing
