CloverPit
I haven’t even scratched the surface of what the slot machine has to offer in terms of winning strategies or clever tricks, as there are countless items to unlock, game modifiers to equip, and just more to play. In a decade where certain titles toe the line between gambling and games, CloverPit performs that dance beautifully and produces an unforgettable roguelite experience as a result — it’s a delight, and one of the most delightfully frustrating things I’ve played this year.
CloverPit is a highly successful experiment that elevates the tension of gambling to a form of psychological horror based on risk management. The Panik Arcade team has successfully taken a mechanic founded on RNG and injected it with strategic depth reminiscent of the best deckbuilders available.
With CloverPit, Panik Arcade has followed the contemporary trend of offering titles with a simple concept at a very affordable price (it costs €9.99, without discounts) — much like Vampire Survivors or the often-mentioned Balatro. It’s a striking game in its own way, precisely because of its limitations, and an excellent one to showcase on Twitch or YouTube — which, these days, is always a plus for ensuring strong sales. Its blend of mechanics based on both luck and skill, along with the satisfying sense of progress from match to match, does the rest — making it the kind of addictive pastime you’re always happy to come back to for one more game.

A short roguelike indie game very similar to luck be a landlord where you have to spin to keep alive, using charms, luck and some guts you do your best to meet your deadlines every 3 rounds or face death

Yet another try at the "build a really low energy, bad looking game, but if we call it Indie, people will love it" attempt. The game's concept is interesting (+1). Everything else felt flat and uninspiring. Games like this need to have a "hook" that will make the player want to keep trying, even in the face of failure. I was ready to uninstall the by the 2nd round of the game.

this game rapidly lost my interest, and in my opinion was very lazily made. the main issue i had was that the game has oppressive audio design that is very likely to bother most players. the launch menu has no settings whatsoever, you need to start a file before changing the sound settings, and then there still isnt a volume slider, you have to repeatedly click the setting to change it 10% at a time, for both the "Fan" and "sfx" separately. to whoever made this game: the fan is in fact a sound effect, and if you are too lazy to include something as ludicrously simple as a slider bar, then you could just give us a f*****g mute button, preferably a hotkey immediately presented to us. the fact that this game includes "accessibility settings" but does not think to include something as basic as the audio in them is a complete joke, as is the lack of an option to remove the bugs crawling all over the place.

Loot Level Chill
CloverPit is the Balatro of 2025. It's an incredibly clever Roguelike with a creepy setting, loads of build options and compelling slot machine action.

De los mejores juegos que he jugado en 2025, es GOTY, solo les digo que si les pareció fácil la demo el juego completo esta super difícil, además el juego esta muy complejo y adictivo, les dará muchas horas de diversión.

CloverPit is a dark blend of slot machine and roguelike that starts simple but unfolds into surprising depth. It lacks the variety and accessibility of a game like Balatro, yet keeps you hooked with tension, unlocks, and the constant gamble.

CloverPit does what it does well. It’s very clear how much inspiration Panik Arcade has taken from Balatro and Buckshot Roulette, but it’s taken bits and pieces and created its own unique identity. The low-poly art style lends itself very well to creating an eerie atmosphere, and taking the time to put together charm combinations is fun and incredibly satisfying when it pays off. Though the rougelike element and pure RNG might be frustrating at times, and the simple gameplay loop can feel repetitive, taking what you’ve learned from a previous run and seeing it pay off in another feels very rewarding.

It’s an intriguing idea for a game, but it’s not nearly deep enough to sustain itself.

The combo of roguelikes and gambling should probably be more addictive than this.

I slowly had a better time the more I played this game, but it definitely can feel really unfair at times. Runs are lost are won usually in the first 2-3 rounds, getting items later helps of course, but those early items that build your multipliers and such are too key. If you don't get any, its basically a game over. I like the look of it, very simple but effective. I wish there was a bit more story though, they could have done a bit more. One aspect that you unlock about halfway in are the mystery cards and I thought those were not great. I never got one I liked, they all seemed too risky and on top of that, you only get one play with it. Just a system the game really didn't need.
