I'm playing it on ps5 pro, end of November 2025, and I'm having a blast with it. Graphic wise I had no hicups at all, after the last patch I'm having constant 60 fps and it looks much better than Borderlands 3 and it's hilarious playing as Rafa! :) Also the game is pretty long if you do all the side quests and collect all items. Love the weapons too, the loot is great. I totally recommend it.
Borderlands 4 marks a confident course correction for the looter-shooter franchise, bringing back the series' core strengths while introducing welcome refinements. Set on the new planet Kairos, the game sheds the baggage of its predecessor with a semi-reboot approach, tighter narrative focus, and satisfying combat. Despite performance hiccups and lackluster menus, it succeeds in recapturing what made Borderlands a genre favorite.
Borderlands 4 surprised me. After not gelling with the series’ prior two entries, the fourth mainline instalment provides some of the most fun I’ve ever had with the quirky looter shooter. Its characters are well-written and not lacking in charm, but most importantly, Gearbox has achieved something I thought impossible: making Claptrap likeable. Some performance issues do need ironing out - especially on PC - and I wish some of the side challenges were a bit more fulfilling. But overall, this is easily the best Borderlands has ever been; yes, even when stacked up to the iconic first sequel.
Unfortunately, poor optimization, boring plot, stumbles in gameplay balance, and a number of minor bugs negatively affect what is otherwise a very good gaming experience.
Borderlands 4 is a big game – the main storyline takes 20 to 30 hours to complete, and there’s plenty to do afterwards. It is not entirely frictionless: sometimes you need to traverse huge distances in its missions, and the directional indicator that helps you along the way is annoyingly erratic. And it has been buggy at launch: playing on PC, it has occasionally crashed on me, even after a huge patch, and early players have reported problems with stuttering and other performance issues. But Borderlands needed to grow up a bit, and that’s exactly what it has done, without losing its essential charm. Its top-quality shooter action might be comfortably familiar, but it’s also an awful lot less annoying than it used to be.
Jpgo incrivel, gostei bastante dele tenho a platina dos outros games alem de ser minha serie de jogos favorita esse game surprendeu minhas espectativas
The gameplay loop is great (10/10). The rest (5/10)... The story and main villain are rather boring and so are the playable characters, dull and boring and not cool. Borderlands 1 and 2 used to have a lot more interesting characters.
Great familiar Borderlands gameplay. Nothing special with the story but quirky side quests keep it entertaining. Lots of performance issues at launch which have been fixed for the most part about a month in.
Bad game design on a lot of missions leading to pointless deaths, tons of wasted time getting lost, etc. Many bugs. Controls are not great on a controller. Melee builds need you to tap R3 wtf lol. I can't view and equip guns I collect bug there's a bug that prevents inventories from populating. Lol. The waypoint system is barely functional. There are so many things that I have to spend so much time figuring out how to get to that I really shouldn't. When the game launched, damage was recursive and a large amount of things could do infinite damage which lasted months. There is a teammate that CONSTANTLY FLIES IN FRONT OF YOUR CROSSHAIRS AND FLOATS THERE. WHY IS THIS EVEN A THING.Also, end-game progress is no longer shared between characters. Physics is broken - you go to shoot something and before you can kill it, your quest enemy is yeeting over the horizon. Wastes time trying to find it, and messes with limited ammo types, aiming, and the entire fight for your life revive mechanic. Dumb burrito trophy.
Boringlands 4 took the terrible robot enemies from Halo 4, the terrible and empty open world and useless grappling hook from Halo: Infinite and mixes it with the most boring parts of 3's story. All they added is worse than useless, it's distracting and clunky. "A premium game for premium gamer" my @$$ Randy Pitchfork, you should be fired. The game looks ugly and still there's so much pop-ins...
SummaryThe definitive looter shooter arrives in 2025. See if you have what it takes to go down in history as a legendary Vault Hunter as you search for secret alien treasure, blasting everything in sight.
