Brilliantly gritty military FPS with fantastic graphics that packs a real challenge and sense of danger. The one drawback is the lack of save points during some very large levels meaning that you can be sent back an age when you die, but otherwise a top notch example of the genre that's better than most Xbox 360 first person shooters.
of all the shooters this is the most realistic i have **** cutscenes are amazing some of the best of all **** normal mode its still hard at times especially when alot of enemies are near.
Неплохой шутер, хоть и не без недостатков. Самый сильный - отсутствие нормального кол-ва чекпоинтов, помер - откатывайся на 10-15 минут назад. Далее - цветокор и декорации: понятное дело, консоли того поколения имели ограниченные аппаратные ресурсы (особенно, пс2), но блин хоть как-то же можно было разнообразить локации, они совершенно не запоминающиеся, одинаково серые и унылые. Про блюр при перезарядке и так понятно, что косяк. Отсутствие хотя бы субтитров в роликах тоже запишу в минусы, играл на xbox one и мало что понял из сюжета. Ну и финал какой-то пресный, просто закидывают на простую открытую арену с кучей постоянно спавнищихся врагов, и всё. В общем и целом, шутер неплохой, графика хорошая (чудеса обратки в виде увеличенного разрешения и сглаживания прям хороши), физика разрушений зрелищная, враги разнообразные, звук и детализация оружия тоже на высоте. Но не эталон. Потому 7/10.

The story is forgettable, and so are the characters, leaving little to no emotional impact once the game **** its release, Black was the kind of flashy FPS that could entertain for a while, mainly due to its presentation and explosive set pieces. But revisiting it today highlights its lack of depth, making it more of a relic than a timeless classic.
Going into Black I've heard a lot of praise for this game calling it cult classic and one of the best shooters of its generation. And while I do agree with some of the praise for the game overall I thought it was just okay. I do think that the particle effects and general haze you get when shooting in an environment are quite impressive for its original hardware and the sound and feel of the guns is really nice and weighty. But what really gets me are the controls their not bad but they feel a bit off and the game has some Fallout 3 aiming going where you don't actually look down the sights that was annoying. And in general any gun that's automatic has terrible accuracy and it takes so many body shots to down an enemy its ridiculous. I will say the shotgun's though are really fun to use as they should be. Other then that the levels designs are fine but aren't very memorable and your character moves slowly and theirs not even a jump button making traversal boring. And the story is really uninteresting and irrelevant and the game for was only 4 hours long not that it has to be long sometimes I like short but sweet experiences but overall this experience is okay and lacks much content. Its an interesting game for its time and it still feels fine to play but id only give it a light recommendation.
