I’ll rate this game based only on the campaign mode. I was really disappointed with it, because I enjoy games about police work, like the SWAT series, Rainbow Six Siege, and the more recent Ready or Not. But this one is a shame for that family of games. The story is poorly written, boring, and unrealistic. I know it’s a video game, but realism is an important thing to me — especially in the Battlefield series. It’s what made BF3 so good in my opinion. The driving is awful, and the overall mechanics feel unrealistic. The stealth system is also bad for the same reason — it’s just not believable. You handcuff someone and they instantly turn into a statue. And you can go around killing everyone like it’s something ordinary for a police officer, which is obviously untrue. As a police officer, every time you kill someone you have to justify it in court, proving that it was in legitimate self-defense. That’s how it works in my country. I think this game is a disservice to police games and to police work in general. The absolute low point was when you get into a tank and start a full-on battle with another tank in the middle of a mission. That’s when I started wishing for the game to just end. I believe this game had a lot of potential to tell a great story about police work — but it seems the developers had completely different plans.

Underrated as ****, an excelent twist for the saga to escape from the status quo, a great campaign with good acting and an fun as **** online component.

While the story can feel a bit predictable at times and some balancing issues pop up in multiplayer, Hardline still manages to stand out as a bold experiment that successfully brings a fresh perspective to the Battlefield series.

Devo ammettere che, se preso come un gioco Battlefield e paragonato con altri giochi del genere. Potrebbe essere un pò sotto le aspettative, ma tutto sommato la storia sa intrattenere se pur un pò scontata, le musiche sono carine e anche i combattimenti, ha anche alcune ottime idee. Insomma in sostanza non è un gioco tutto da buttare.

Masterpiece, this game is awesome. It has a full story from beginning to end, good music, atmosphere, dialogue, and characters with the Battlefield formula. It is something so different from other Battlefields, and with Visceral Games, you will find a solid game with difficult puzzles and full action. I enjoyed this game. If you like Battlefields, this is a must-have. I will wait for a sequel; the final is amazing.

There's definitely some fantastic ideas going into this game and the visual presentation is of course top notch. Unfortunately, the campaign suffers from poorly designed and terribly unbalanced combat encounters, episodes that last way too long, and writing that is quite predictable and cliched. There were elements to this game I thoroughly enjoyed but slugging through the campaign became so arduous that I just couldn't take it anymore.

This was probably one of the most dull experiences i've had playing a game. The story is plain and boring, and the missions are snooze-fests, apart from a couple. Never played the multiplayer, and probably never will, because the story alone has warded me away from this game. Do not reccomend.

"Battlefield" for the GTA crowd. It has a cops-and-crooks theme and is quite fun, but it's not as good as "Battlefield 4". The maps are a little too small and while the formula still works, it would benefit from an upgrade. Thankfully, the single player mode is better than you'd expect. Overall, long time fans will probably enjoy it. I would rate this with a 7.5 out of 10.

Pretty weak game overall. Story... mediocre, graphics... average, gameplay... dull. Tolerable in short bursts, but only a matter of time before you turn it off and play something better.

Basically Zero redeeming factors other than "it exists" and eve then I wouldn't call that a benefit. Long boring unskippable cutscenes, gameplay mechanics that come and go when the game sees fit (not when the player wishes to use them) and a messy story. How is the "peacefully arrest suspect" button the same as "brutally beat them to death" button. Oh wait, its a Cop simulator. say no more. 10/10 realism. 2/10 game.

Its just a spin-off battlefield cop vs thief gameplay is cool but isnt very so cool compared to his predecessor **** campain is very interesting and cool with his plot and gameplay too bad for the ending is nothig interesting...

Not a great one. It isn't unplayable, the campaign is actually fairly entertaining, but it could really drop that whole 'next time on battlefield' shtick. I bought the game I don't need to be lured into another chapter. Seeing as multiplayer really doesn't have great gamem-modes or an active base I would suggest buying this on sale to mess around with the campaign.

When the cover of the game is cringy,what do you expect? I mean,it has a few good missions and set pieces,but overall, the story is bland and forgettable. They tried for the game to look cool, but they didn't succeed.

Hardline Battlefield game was a beautiful, spectacular and finishing game, but it did not have good graphics and characterization, and this is why I deducted 2 points from this game, 1 point, because it was not as beautiful as Battlefield 4, its story and battlefield It was out of sight until 2016, when Nebar Square 1 was released

Love the idea, pretty well executed, could've been technically better. Everything you want in an FPS is here. Not as polished as BF4 Graphics could've been better. AI was weak to help with the "Arrest" feature. The story was as cliche as any TV cop show but I still had a blast. Highly underrated, would love to see a sequel with a bit more care put into it

A simple shooter, or rather a game with shooter elements.Honestly, you can say the same thing about it as about call of duty black ops 3, they are the same in terms of semantic load **** hardline is a little better in the atmosphere itself than call of duty

Упор на сюжет большими с дырами. Сносный стелс. Но это не батла, это другая игра на 8 балов, но если смотреть, как на батлу. то это 6 баллов. - стрельба на 8 - сюжет 7 Итого 7.5

Battlefield Hardline is one of my favourite Battlefield games to date because it's a welcome change in direction. By altering the series' focus from 'soldiers at war' to 'cops and robbers' lends a fresh perspective on modern conflict. Another reason why I enjoyed Battlefield Hardline is because it liberally borrows stealth gameplay elements from the Far Cry games - a franchise which I admittedly admire. However, in hindsight Battlefield Hardline didn't fully meet my expectations, in particular it's story. From the outset (and the fact that Visceral were developing the game) I expected Hardline's narrative to be mature and sophisticated. Most importantly, I wanted the story to be 'different'. Unfortunately, Hardline's story is yet another typical run-of-the-mill cop story that features a predictable betrayal element to justify fighting on both sides of the law. Even despite the premises' lack of originality, I still think it could've been handled better. The only saving grace is that there is one side character who feels fresh and provides most of the humour through how witty he is (you know who I'm talking about). Another point of criticism is the game's reliance (or more accurately, over-reliance) on stealth. Now, I know I said I liked how Hardline liberally borrowed the stealth gameplay elements from the Far Cry games and I really dig that, but when I finished the game and recalled how much of the game's missions and scenarios focused on sneaking around and taking enemies down silently, I was genuinely surprised when I realised how much of the game's total length I had spent doing just that. Approximately 85% of Battlefield Hardline's campaign gameplay revolves around stealth. The real problem with Hardline's over-reliance on stealth is the simple fact that the stealth gameplay never really changes or ever truly evolve beyond the stealth gameplay formula established by the Far Cry franchise. This leads to A LOT of repetition and subsequent fatigue and boredom. Especially given the fact that I basically played the game for 8 hours straight. Battlefield Hardline isn't great, but at the same time it isn't awful. While I liked how it borrows from Ubisoft's FPS juggernaut, Hardline's cop premise hangs by a thread to the point where it feels like window dressing until laughably even that gets ditched in the final mission where the game literally goes full Far Cry 3. And when something fully becomes the thing that it's imitating and abandons it's identity, nothing more needs to be said.

Played this game in June 2021. The multiplayer mode is as dead as a belly-up fish. And the title "Battlefield" is really misleading, because this is not really a battlefield game. You can stop reading now if you play this game for the multiplayer mode. But the single player campaign is really not bad. The graphics is good enough to well deliver the dramatic cutscenes. Plot twists happens at the right spot of the story flow. The presentation of the story is really nice. The voice acting is really good. Anyway, I can still really enjoyed this game after 6 years the game is released. I paid $7.99 for it during the 2021 summer sale of Steam, and every cent is worth of it.

Straight trash. Open the EA App. Launch game. Nope! It launches a browser window to their "Battlelog". Click Start Campaign. Initializing... After 10 minutes of trying this process over and over and it getting stuck on Initializing, I close everything down and do it again. Error! Check your game installation! I uninstalled without issue.

Battlefield Hardline is something different, it's frankenstein experiment. It's not a bad game, but definitely it's not the best of the series. Gun play is typical for battlefield, story is pretty good, multiplayer is fun even in 2021. Good game.

I actually like the campaign of this game. It's better than other bf games. It's not very good but entertaining. I like the multiplayer too. Again it is not very good but enough for a bf game. I don't know what people were expecting.

This should have been a $15 DLC addon for Battlefield 4 at best. Don't waste your money. Luckily I received a review copy for free, even though I played the beta (also last years "beta") and knew how much of a rip off it was.

Remember playing cops and robbers as a kid? Battlefield Hardline is what you imagined as a kid while playing; well maybe not that extreme. Hello fine folks on the interwebs B-rod here with a late review trying to play catch up. Game industry decided the last two weeks of March to unleash hell on us gamers with five games simultaneously coming out. Anyways the easiest of the five to get through is Battlefield hardline (because of length nothing else). Anyways without further ado let us dive into this mountain of Cocaine that is Battlefield Hardline. The story is rather interesting. It is a full game but tells the story as if you are watching CSI Miami. It literally has a previously on Battlefield Hardline. Unlike anything by **** Wolf, this game feels and acts more like a cop show on HBO not like The Wire or True Detective; it just feels like it can be on HBO with all the violence and cussing, and grittiness. You are Mendoza a newish detective who is a stick up his ass cop, so a cop. The only way I remembered this guys name is because his last name is Mendoza like the Mcbain villain from The Simpsons. The story is you (Mendoza) trying to take down the ever growing drug trafficking that is taking over Florida. I can't say anymore to the story without giving it away but it gets way more complicated than that. I will say this is the best single player in a Battlefield game since the first Bad Company. I know that is not saying a lot, but Visceral actually put some effort into this story unlike most of FPS storylines. The game is beautiful in both the environment and cutscenes. The characters don't have that dead durrr face that you seen with many games from a previous generation. The environments aren't repetitive at all they actually vary quite a bit. Something that was nice because you are a cop there was no war zones in the Middle East in this game. I can't tell you how sick and tired I am of killing the same faceless enemies in the middle east. Now because the AI couldn't wear things covering their face I arrested the same guy quite a few times in the same level. Don't get me wrong this is more a nitpick than an actual complaint, but it was noticeable. The sound was equally adequate. The environments felt alive, the slums, felt like people lived there, while the swamps had that annoying gnat flying into the characters ear. The voice acting is on par with the effects. Being that this is a very story heavy single player the voice acting had to be good and this game delivers. The gameplay is unlike any other Battlefield game to date. It is a lot more stealth heavy versus the run and gun, and blow **** up like every single Battlefield before it. They added a ton of components that make you feel more like a cop than even L.A. Noire did. You can flash your badge to make enemies freeze, arrest all enemy combatants if you are stealthy, and even tased the **** out of everyone. This is cool, but (minor spoiler ahead) when you aren't a cop anymore the whole arresting people made no sense even from a story standpoint due to the characters motivation. Otherwise this gun play is a played down Battlefield, you won't get heavy machine guns or RPGs. You will get light machine guns, pistols, and shotguns. I will say on normal the combat can be challenging if you aren't paying attention. The enemies don't **** around they are a better shot than me. The single player is about a six hour experience which is pretty typical for these kind of games. I know what some are thinking, "who gets these games for single player?". The multiplayer has many of the same modes as Battlefield 4, but has the newest heist mode. In heist you can earn points by making arrest, kills, stealing, doing the objective or stopping the opposing team from completing theirs. Sadly I didn't find this as fun as traditional Battlefield multiplayer, but that is me who digs typical conquest which this is present. My argument against that would be, if you only like conquest stick with Battlefield 4 because this is no different. Overall the game is a lot of fun well worth a purchase, but only if you enjoy multiplayer. The single player is a one and done kind of thing. It has little replay value with the single player; so if you're into that I'd say rent it. This is deffiently worth checking out even from the none Battlefield fans because the single player is something new and different. I give this a 4/5 it is a great game that I think people should check out. The single player is better than most cop shows on TV (excluding HBO). I leave with a question. Battlefield has done a Cop story, but when will they go either into the future again or to the past like WW1 or earlier?

This game is the worst edition in the series. It feels bland + the storyline and characters just did not grab me. The gameplay felt stiff and because of that I had a hard time just completing the campaign. Skip this one.
