Will you enjoy this story-based game? That, quite unsurprisingly, depends on whether you’re going to like the story. The plot twists aren’t great but if you’re interested in dark topics like PTSD, you could leave satisfied.

Caroline Marshall’s first independent project may not have panned out exactly as planned, but it shows enough potential in its story telling to convince some to give it a try, and if you already own a Game Pass subscription then you are just investing your time, which will probably worth it.

As Dusk Falls exceeds all expectations and is a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining experience for single and multiplayer alike.

For players interested in the progress of interactive narrative frameworks, it’s a laudable success. But even for someone who never plays games, it works. That’s because good characters and storytelling make for a universal experience, and this is a project that has both.

Melhor jogo da história! Pelo menos pra mim. Me pegou de um jeito esse jogo, a história é boa do início ao fim, independente das decisões que você tomar. Estilo de arte dele é muito bom e inovador, só joguem e apreciem.

Normally, with a choice-driven adventure, I'm once and done, ready for a post-game water-cooler discussion. As Dusk Falls' warrants more than one playthrough, if only to see how differently things can pan out. If that open ending is any indication, there's more to come.

The first book of As Dusk Falls is compelling, fast and breathtaking, while the second loses all the pace that the story had built up to that point. A great wasted opportunity, for an interactive drama with a lot of good ideas.

With As Dusk Falls, Interior Night and Xbox Game Studios are testing the limits of what an interactive narrative adventure game can be. It's certainly odd for this to be one of the biggest Xbox exclusives of 2022, but it keenly demonstrates that there's still a lot that developers can do to innovate within a genre that seems limited at first glance.

A narrative game, where the story is interesting and the principle of each action choice leads to different connections with the rest of the story. The game is fast-paced, taking 3 hours to complete the main story in the main **** game doesn't revolutionize the genre, the actions are predictable and the choices also lead to predictable actions.However, it must be said that the storyline is very well written, allowing us to project ourselves into each character's story and empathize with **** “skill tree” on each path offers us several story choices, which is a good thing in this type of game.Note: Each chapter can be played independently once the story is finished, and each “turning point” can be reviewed at the relevant story-time. This means that the game can undergo several endings, and thus offers an easy perspective for plotting the game.

A few of the flashbacks occasionally slow the momentum a little too much, but As Dusk Falls tells a fairly interesting story full of well rounded characters and (importantly) makes the players choices count.

Usually I'm a fan of story games, but oh boy for me the art style was pretty bad. Most of the people's expressions drawn didn't even match what they were saying at all / the scene. And they use a mix of 3d/2d assets which do not look alike at all. But even without that, thats only half of the game. The other half, the story, in my opinion was pretty bad, granted I only got 15mins in the game, but as an avid story choice game fan, this was on the lower end. I do say though that they got the music matching the vibes really well, and was pretty nice to listen to / matched the scene. But again, the awkward 2d stop motion frame jump animations just really did not look remotely good for me. I rather have zero animations and still images instead of the forced in 2d pose to pose "animations"One thing I do appreciate about this game though is all the multiplayer choices and twitch stream integration. These let you do it together with friends if you wish, but I'd rather play a much better story game like Bad End Theater, or even just something free on ****
