The cooperative system that EA have put in place works, and looks superb in action. Add to that, the fact that the enemy AI is intelligent and is not just going to roll over and die, and the fact that you can spend just as much time modifying weapons as you can do playing the game.
Put simply, Army of Two is a great game to play with a friend whether that friend is local for split-screen or on Xbox Live for remote play.

One of the best games to play Split-screen with your family or friends the jokes in the game are also especially fun and laughable the whole dynamic of the game is friendship and that shows in the real world as well when you're playing it.

Xbox 360 The missions are terrific, action-packed stages where something is always happening. More multiplayer maps would've been nice, and the challenge might be too much for rookies. Otherwise, these Two wholeheartedly entertain.
Whoever designed the levels in this game, clearly didn't bring a lot of effort or imagination into it.
It has its gimmick of two people being an army but it's not a very good one and quickly becomes tiresome. [Issue#31, p.78]
Army Of Two is relatively straightforward thirdperson shooter, focused on large-scale skirmishes and the dynamics of a two-man team. It’s serviceable enough in some regards. [Apr 2008, p.91]

This cheesy Tom Clancy-like shooter feels like it was rushed. The campaign is very brief and uninspired. And the generic multiplayer feels like it was tacked on. It's as if EA Games wanted to capitalize on the success of "Gears of War", but never had a real vision. Despite the janky controls, the game is kind of fun, especially with a partner in co-op. It's worth playing through at least once. I would rate it with a 7.2 out of 10.

If I used a computer AI to create a generic coop FPS game I imagine it would make something like "Army of Two." There's nothing here that rises above adequate. The only thing that is interesting is the aggro mechanic between you and your partner, and the way enemies fight using squad tactics, which adds an element of realism to these gunfights. Maybe if I had played this 10 years ago I would have a different opinion of it.

Short campaign, Pretty much no multiplayer interactment during campaign (which is the basis of the entire game, fail?), No replay value, and a poor multiplayer makes this game an epic failure.
