There’s nothing else like it, the story is intriguing, the voice acting fantastic, and oh my goodness the art is sublime, both in levels and in the stunningly drawn still cutscenes. The fact that this is all packed into a $25 game is remarkable, and well worth your eyes.

Ambrosia Sky Act Two is a fitting conclusion that introduces enough new twists to set it apart from the first act. There are a couple of navigational issues, but the oddly relaxing sensation of spraying down fungus combined with the many mechanics surrounding that central conceit are certainly worth experiencing. If you want to power wash some dangerous growths in a melancholy sci-fi world, I think Ambrosia Sky: Act Two will be right up your alley.

I guess that’s the problem with the episodic release format, even for one released in two halves. You release the first part, and it’s great, but then you have additional time to improve on some of the stuff that didn’t quite work for the second part, and that side of the story becomes the stronger half.

Ambrosia Sky’s second act is just more of the same—a half-decent narrative buried under a cluster of monotonous gameplay and subpar design.
