Coming in at just five 45-ish-minute episodes, it doesn’t stick around long enough to become a slog. It will be easy for such a miniseries to get lost in the streaming shuffle, but for those looking for a fleet, twisty distraction, The Stolen Girl won’t leave anyone feeling robbed.

The story behind the “great” heist probably doesn’t have enough meat on it to completely suck viewers in, but as far as creating an enjoyable diversion goes, The Sticky is up to the job.

Outer Range season two is unlikely to thrill all but the most devoted fans of its first outing. And while there’s still a decent framework and a game set of actors, there’s no escaping the reality that things will need to click fast if it has any hope of reaching its planned ending.

If we’re being brutally honest, Dark Matter should probably be better than it is, but its basic storytelling shortcomings aren’t fully heinous. And it’s a price worth paying for some TV that absolutely flies when it’s on a roll and sticks a tricky landing in the end with the finesse of an Eastern European Olympic gymnast. Much like its author-turned-showrunner, this is definitely one to watch.

There's a lot to keep track of initially, but once the basics are sorted through it becomes easier to meet The Sympathizer on its very stylized terms.
