It's a good game, though it is light on the RPG side of things and heaving on the bugs. It's fun and has an engaging story, but this isn't going to by Cyberpunk 2020 but as First Person CRPG.
Probably the best episode from Hitman 2016. The map is huge, it's filled with secrets spots and secret weapons. Finding the explosive golf ball made my day.
So this is probably my favorite game that has been released this year. Sure I've enjoyed Battleborn, Overwatch and Dead By Daylight, but DOOM just feels like a complete game. It has a great single player campaign that has some amazing music and action. The multiplayer is not bad, generic but still fun none the less. The user created content takes the cake by letting players add more stuff to the game so it's hard to get bored of it. For me when games let us create new content, it's a winner. I wish more games would let us create content for it.
It has a horrifying environment. I feel the stress of having the killer chase me through a junkyard. The game may have it's issues with Killer camping Hooks and Survivors abusing Window Jumping but besides that it's a really fun game. For the general idea of the game it's a solid 10/10 for me. BUT because of the bugs like getting kicked out of matchmaking as a survivor, getting stuck on a generator as a killer (I had to leave because of that, I feel bad because if the killer leaves everyone else gets kicked), and just a few hiccups here and there. But when the game gets a little more polish I would say it would be higher than the score I'm giving it, but for now it's a 7/10. Still worth it for the price.
Overwatch is a very enjoyable team shooter. The game is a perfect casual game where you can jump in for 5-10mins and shoot up some people. The characters are fun to play and I do love that the game tells you what your team comp is lacking or has too much of. A nice thing that other team games should put in. One of the issues I have with the game is that shift is an ability and not sprint (unless your Solider 76). I am getting use to it but I've been programmed to hit shift for running. The other issue I have is also small but it's the microtransaction with the loot boxes. I'm never a big fan to see microtransaction in a paid game, I kind of wish that they did their loot boxes similar to Battleborn's loot packs. You get coins at the end of a match and you can use those coins to purchase a loot box. Would of been better in my opinion. Overall Overwatch is a great game, it might as well be known as Team Fortress 3. It's fun and easy to get into.
First of all, probably the better launch I've seen from online games in a while. This game is the perfect blend of Shooters and Mobas. The characters feel fun and creative, the maps are colorful and the whole style just makes me think of Saturday Morning Cartoons. Though there may be some more balancing needed (which will always be needed for these kinds of games) it's not as bad as other games that's been out for years. The game also brings PvE which has a feel to dungeons in MMOs. You select the chapter, fight mobs, fight boss, fight mobs, fight boss, then fight final boss. It's a good way to get gear to take back to PvP. The game isn't without issues, I feel that sometimes the screen can feel a little cluttered and it does take a little bit to get use to it, but after that 5th match you no longer care, it's just chaotic fun. Hell I've had so much fun playing Benedict that I didn't even care that my team was losing. Battleborn is probably the most unique game to come out this year so far and with it's fun cartoony style and it's Borderland's humor, it's a good pick.
At first when I started playing this game I would of gave this game a 5, but lately it has improved a lot. The game feels like a fun ARPG with several characters to choose from. The story is ok, not the best, but not the worst. The cash shop seems expensive at times where a costume can cost about $15 but I guess people expect that from f2p games now a days. Honestly if you're looking for a f2p Super Hero ARPG, Marvel Heroes does a good job at that. I think it would be a better game if it was a b2p game, but I guess its too late to do that.
Probably my favorite online shooter that came out in 2015. Has a similar feel of Counter Strike mixed with some Battlefield. I would rate this much higher than an 8 if it wasn't for some bugs and server issues. (Seriously they should let us host our own servers). But the gameplay and map designs are solid. Kudos Ubi, you made a game I am willing to buy from you.
It's a great game for you if you're just sitting around waiting for Star Citizen. I highly recommend this game if you have an Oculus Rift, it's perfect for that.
It's a fun little platformer with an interesting story and great music. The controls and the camera can get annoying at times, but other than that it's not that bad ****, especially at the price it is at. You can collect little bits of "Did you know" and learn some interesting facts about the fairy tales that are in the game.
There were two games I bought the PS4 for. The Last of Us Remastered and Godzilla. When I saw Angry Joes review for the game, I decided to wait for the price to drop before picking up the game. I am disappointed that the latest Godzilla game isn't that great. As a game its incredibly repetitive and and lacking content. But I'm a hardcore Godzilla fan and I actually did enjoy running around as a kaiju destroying buildings(you'd think someone would make an open world godzilla game like that) and fighting other monsters even if the combat in the game is simple. It's fun unlocking my favorite kaijus and playing as them, that entertained me, but after playing through the campaign over 100 time, I've gotten sick of it and needed a break. This game could of been so much more and it's not worth buying if you're not a hardcore Godzilla fan. For Hardcore Godzilla fans this isn't worth buying new or full price, go out and buy a cheap use copy if your curious.
Not a bad game game, keeps me entertained. It feels like a Borderlands MMO. The largest issue I have with it is that its a little buggy and lag can be really bad. Overall though, it's not bad for a f2p game, but I did expected better from Trion.
I absolute love the new matrix in this game. It feels less combat and more like decking. The new cyberware affinity is amazing and I am loving the Hong Kong setting. The choices to seem to matter in this game, but I haven't been able to try it out on a second run through yet. The game could use a little more polishing. There were a few misspelled words but nothing too noticeable. Overall a great game, and if you're a fan of Shadowrun, you should definitely pick this one up.
Enjoyable game. I am a fan of the Shadowrun universe, so I had to pick this one up. I already own plenty of other Shadowrun games that give me the single player rpg, I now want something to play with my friends online, and this game delivers. It has a few issues here and there and I do think $40 is pretty expensive for the game, but I'm enjoying none the less. Hopefully the developers plan to add more to the game like the matrix and other skills to go with it.
Runs amazing on my machine. Single player is great, didn't have any issues. On GTA V I've ran into a few bugs like camera getting locked while doing a Last Man Standing or the game freezing up when I'm driving into my garage. Besides that it's a great game. Rockstar did a great job at porting this game over to PC.
Honestly, I'm very biased here. Resident Evil is my favorite game ever. So of course I will give the game a 10/10. It's been so long since I played the gamecube remake that I forgot enough of it to make it feel exciting. So if you loved the first game and you want to replay it, this is the perfect game for you. If you only played the modern RE games or new to the RE series, this game's camera and control will frustrate you. I feel that it something you had to grow up with by playing the the PS horror games like Silent Hill and Rule of Rose.
It's a fun little game to pass the time on your iPad. It's cool to unlock your favorite marvel character and see their abilities. But like I said, it's just something to kill 5mins, don't try to spends money on this game, it;s just another mirco-transaction money drain that is on par of a facebook game.
Nice to see a game in a war setting where you play as a regular person trying to survive. This War of Mine is a fun little game where you need to gather supplies, help people out, try not to get killed, and just generally survive through the war. Things get hard when people get depressed, sick, or bandits come in during the night and take your stuff.
Being a fan of Endless Space, Endless Legend was a nice improvement both lore wise and mechanic wise. Unlike Endless Space, I was able to convince friends to pick this one up and actually play against people. Combat system reminds me of the combat in Age of Wonders III but combined with Endless Space. (Cultist 4 Lyfe)
I find it to be a good turn based space strategy game. Though I couldn't get most of my friends to pick it up, I did enjoy playing against the AI. The combat mechanics are interesting, but can't say I'm a huge fan of it. I wish this game had the same combat as Endless Legends.
Evolve was one of the three games I was looking forward to this year. After having so much fun with the beta I decided to pre-order the game and I do not regret it. The game is really fun, I'm still not great at playing the monster, but I love playing the hunters and tracking down the beast with my teammates. The game can get really suspenseful when you're the last hunter a live and you're trying to keep away from the monster as you wait for the dropship to respawn your team. When it comes to problems with the game, I've been seeing a few bugs with the cursor here and there and I do get some weird quick fps drops at time. When it comes to the DLC I have no problem with companies selling dlcs that bring in new characters and skins to the game similar to Borderlands. As long as you don't have to pay for Map packs or powerful abilities it won't be a problem.
Great Art, great music, great mechanics. The game is very enjoy able to play. The only issue I have with the game is playing as a teenager with high school drama. That part I could do without.
It's a cute little puzzle solving platformer. It's pretty simple game play and has a few bugs but it is a great game to pick up for your kid. The characters are cute and the game has little videos educating about the culture.
Well this is probably the best stealth game to come out in 2014. You get to play as a goblin rogue and sneak around stealing and killing. The story is pretty interesting, but it is the gameplay that got me hooked on the game.
A game that brings you back to 2003, while still having all the nice features of X & Y. The game still makes it easier to EV train and breed. The new megas seem amazing and I can't wait to get a mega slowbro ready for battle.
Very nice RPG, they've made several improvements to the game since Dragon Age Origin (never played the second game). The combat system took a while to get use to, but is fun when you figure it out. It's not RPG of the year material, but a nice change for the Dragon Age series.
"first-person story-driven mystery game" Is an accurate description of what kind of game this is. This game tells a great story while also having a stunning graphics and beautiful music. This game also has some puzzle solving. Some are pretty, some are a bit difficult. Either way the puzzles add game play to a story driven game. Overall is a game that I would recommend to all my friends, even the ones who are not so much gamers because I know they will enjoy the story.
Really enjoyable game and I think a decent mix of Alpha Centauri and Civ 5. I actually do enjoy some of the new mechanics and the new scene for a Civ game. The affinity system is a nice feature and adds a new conflict with you and other factions. The aliens are interesting, so I feel the AI is a tad dumb. But I do enjoy that there's a creature called a Siege Worm and if you sent some low level soldiers at it, they're going to die. I think the biggest issues I have with the game is the AI and placing the satellite seem poorly thought out.
This game could of easily of been a 10/10 if it wasn't for some of it's issues. First the good. The story is a great cyberpunk tale and the environment of Neo Paris is beautiful. The music is one that you will want to continue listening well after the game ends. The combat system is fun and allows you to design your own combos. And the puzzles in this game are actually puzzles unlike other games that ditched the concept of having puzzles in them. *cough cough* Resident Evil *cough* Now the bad, Quick time events are a **** in this game. Sometimes they don't show up correctly and will make you lose a boss fight. The camera extremely annoying in the combat and the auto aim feels clunky. Like I said if it wasn't for the bad, all the good would of made this game a 10/10. Still if you are a fan of cyberpunk, this game is a must buy. If you don't care too much about cyberpunk, the game might not be able to hold you.
Postal 2 is a fun game made by fun developers that love to poke fun at themselves as well as society. If you want a game where you can go complete psycho or just go and buy milk like a normal person, Postal 2 is for you.
If you're a fan of the horror survival genre like Amnesia and Penumbra, then I highly recommend this game to you. The graphics and controls are great and the environment is terrifying. Basically you're in an insane asylum that the patients are loose and you're trying to investigate and try to escape.
A really good game, a sequel to my favorite rts, they kept the competitive feel while adding more features making the game a lot better than the one in my past. It's probably the only game from Blizzard that I had zero issues with.
I spent hundreds of hours playing this game in College. If I got bored of the regular game mode I always went over to a zombie server or a gungame server. The game had a large variety of maps made by the community, it's hard to get bored of the game.
Enjoyable game, the dungeons are fun but are pretty easy. The PvP was fun until the 1000th time, and now I can't even continue because I'm tired of that PvP map. The best part of this mmo is probably the foundry where players can make their own quests which gives the player an infinite amount of quests to do.
This game is just utter s**t! Horrible controls, boring story, trying to win people over with the sex appeal. Everything about this game is bad, bad, bad. Probably the third worst game ever (with the first being E.T. and second being Superman 64).
Interesting concept, but lacks the fun. It's an ok game for an 1 or 2 hours. Probably would make a better demo than a full game. Still enjoyable and if you don't mind spending the few bucks, it's a pretty decent cheap horror. I guess with all the hype I've been hearing of it, I was expecting more.
SMITE is my new moba, I haven't played League of Legends or DotA since I started playing Smite. Unlike other new mobas coming out, HiRez tries to do something different by changing it to a third person view and have you aim everything, even your basic attack. Another thing that is great is that it has several game modes that are actually played (unlike Domination in LoL). I hope to see the professional scene rises for Smite and to see this game rise pass LoL and DotA.
I picked up Starbound months ago and I've set up a server for me and my friends. We had a great time goofing off and building stuff. Doing our usual stuff when it comes to sandbox games like this. The music is pleasant and I love some of the random aliens you run into. If you enjoyed Terraria but wanted to prefer Scifi, then Starbound is worth a check. (A lot of people seem to be rating this game with zeros saying it was unfinished, but I do not know what they expected from buying a game that is in early access.)
It's an interesting game, I love the class system. I kept on making new characters to try out different combinations. The combat system though is quite boring, even with the combo setup, it's rather dull. Tab targeting is too old of a concept. The housing in this game is more annoying than it is fun. I prefer the WildStar housing were you could do a lot more with it and it was instanced off though I do get what ArcheAge is going for with having a sandbox. My main problem with sandbox MMOs is always the same. People abuse the sandbox system ruining the fun for people. Overall ArcheAge is a fun game to try out for a while, it's pretty, and you can spend hours just exploring. But it's not an MMO I'll stick around to see what max level is like, at least not for now.
Pretty fun rouge-like game. I'm a fan of the lovecraftian universe and the first time playing the Dagon dungeon was a lot of fun. When I got to Nyarlathotep dungeon, thinks got creepy as hell. Statues that are similar to the weeping angels and these things that keep coming back to life when you kill them. Overall the game is enjoyable and it's not very expensive. it's good entertainment at that price.
Finally an indie game that is actually fun and enjoyable. It feels like too many games coming out of Steam's GreenLights are crap, but Freedom Planet takes me back to the days where I played Sonic as a child. The story is simple, but it makes up for the amazing game play.
I'm just glad to be able to play this game again because I have no idea what happen to my old copy of AoM. The game looks better and kind of makes me want a brand new AoM game.
The game is probably one of my top favorite RPGs, I love the class system and the combat was really smooth and entertaining. The story is written by one of my favorite fantasy authors so that is also a win.
I'm not a big MMO player, I like to stick with RTS and FPS. But Wildstar just made me like an MMO game. I love the action combat, the humor, the lore and the fact that there is a good Scifi MMO that's not Eve Online. The questing at the beginning can be a tad boring, but the combat system makes up for it, not to mention the little lore pieces I pick up along the way. Carbine did a great job at the game and it's a pretty decent launch. A few problem that I'm hoping will be fixed soon is some clients seem to have a memory leak and of course the queue seems pretty bad for EU players.
Great game, haven't play a CCG since Magic the Gathering. I almost enjoy this game more than Magic the Gathering, I love designing new decks and new strategy. I do wish the amount of decks you can have would increase.
A great game just to goof around with. Can entertain me for a few hours, good game to just play if you had one too many beers. I look forward to updates from Coffee Stain to make Goat Simulator more entertaining.
It wasn't the bugs that bothered me so much as it was that it was just not Elder Scrolls. I much rather of had a borderlands co-op for games like Morrowind and Skyrim. The combat was interesting and the questing was a little more interesting than most MMOs. But it just wasn't that great, and made me just want to play a real Elder Scrolls game.
The game was fun, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but still fun. The AI can be dumb at times and a few graphic glitches here and there(not to mention issues with UPlay), but still worth the money.
I love it, I've been a fan of the series since Thief 2. There are a few things I miss about the old ones, but haven't had an issue enjoying the new one.
