I've seen alot of bad reviews of this game and it made me hesitant to try it out. But I've played all the other Life is Strange games and this was the last one left. And honestly, I absolutely loved it. I love how they brought back Max Caufield with the same voice actor 9 years later. The atmosphere of the university is pretty good, the characters feel like they have alot of personality and the game overall just looks stunning. I don't think it's better than the first game but personally I think it's up there when it comes to the Life is Strange franchise even though alot might not agree with me. Can't wait for Life is Strange: Reunion.
Improved gameplay and a great set of different endings, but everything else falls behind the original imo. I didn't have as much of a connection to this game and it's characters like I did with the other Life is Strange games, maybe it was because every episode was in a different place with completely new characters which didn't give me enough time to build a good connection with any of them or get to care about them enough. Also, the idea of the main character not being the ones with powers is a little different and bold, but I think it's better to stick to the normal route in this one. Daniel was annoying as hell the entire game ngl lmao.
It's a great game, definitely makes you feel like you're watching a tv show instead of playing a game which is awesome, and the story is great. But the main part of the game is that it's a choice based game, and in that it falls short. Not because of the lack of choices, it's because of the lack of outcomes. I've seen plenty of playthroughs after playing it just to see all the possible outcomes and I was fairly disappointed when I found out that almost all the choices.. just don't really matter that much? Most of the choices just don't affect the story in any kind of way except for like a single line of dialogue. Great game, but not a great choice based game in my opinion.
What a game. An amazing successor and it definitely lives up to the hype. But I can't score it higher than the first for one single reason. They bumped up the difficulty by alot. They had to, and I don't blame them. It's just not really my type of game. The first game had a way more balanced experience for someone who isn't great at platformers and hard games in general.
Almost everything about this game is better than the first except for the main story, which is sadly the most important part. So I can't personally score this higher than the first game. But still an amazing game regardless, and one of my favourites.
Wanted to give it a 7.5 but that score doesn't exist. So I guess an 8 will have to do. Awesome game. Not as godly as the first, but it does have a better vibe when it comes to the town. I just wish the game was longer. Overall it's definitely a great addition to the life is strange games. Can't wait to play Life is Strange: Double Exposure soon
This game alone made me rethink my favourite genres of games. Because of this game, I now absolutely LOVE choice based story games. And I haven't seen another live up to this one.
