Awesomenauts in not a bad game, not even a bad MOBA. In fact, it is actually pretty good at being both. The platforming and 2d style makes it a unique experience in the market, with very beautiful graphics and easy controls. Every awesomenaut is unique and there are no counter-picks, only better-made teams. However, there are a number of problems in the game considering the match making system and the leaderboards. Leaderboards are supposed to help by matching you with players of your skill, which is calculated from your percentage of wins(winning earns you points-losing decreases your points). The problem is that in many cases you will have feeders and/or leavers that leave fairly early once your opponents gain the lead to avoid losing points and are replaced by bots that are useless compared to real players, leading to frustration almost every time. And the worst of all is leavers are not punished as hard as the player who doesn't ragequit. In addition, the game often disconnects from the "host" something that counts as a loss to your personal score and is somewhat common. Also, the number of awesomenauts is not that big as the developer is currently busy with the starstorm DLC(which I really enjoy and recommend if you have 8 more euros to spend), which may make the game a bit dull after a while(not soon though). Reporting or honoring a player is absent in this MOBA and friending them is not made as simple as in other titles. I wouldn't recommend awesomenauts to people that care about rankings in MOBAS and are sensitive about that stuff, however if you want to play it for the lolz I definitely recommend to go for it and if you can find some friends to play together you are going to love it.
Is there a worst console port? The keys you are asked to press only suit the xbox controller and you spend half an hour derping over the keyboard trying to learn how to equip a thing. The graphics look bad and there are only FOUR options in the video optimization tab(two of which are the resolution and fullscreen on/off). What a way to treat PC fans.
Really nice puzzle game, fun and challenging levels, beautiful graphics style and easy platforming controls make escape goat a great game for everyone. However, the highlight of this game is the music, which is pleasant to hear even after countless times of repeating a level. My only problems were that the level difficulty did not scale normally (meaning that the next level may be easier than those before) and its short duration(about 2 hours to complete the main game). Definitely recommend to purchase on gog: 5$ including the soundtrack.
This game is a must if you have a brother or sister. You each (and up to 4 players totally) pick a samurai armed with a katana and a 3 bullet pistol and face off in a stage using your reflexes and your super jumping ability. The match is over pretty quickly when a player reaches 10 kills with dying by traps costing him one kill, but you'll definitely want to play again immediately. The art style and the sound are both great and controls are really easy to learn. My only problem with the game is that it lacks a menu for mach preferences(like custom time limit, custom kills limit...)
The game is kinda fun without all the issues with the connection and servers, etc. However, the space you have now is very limited and it is the biggest flaw in the gameplay as you can build a whole metropolis in less than a day. The mechanics are fun, but I cannot compare them to another simcity unfortunately. Also, stupid DLCs and crappy graphics (unless you have a REALLY powerful PC) make it a complete letdown. It definitely is not worth ANY money, even for the hardcore fans as it will frustrate you more than it will amuse you.
The game's highlight is by far its rpg and ccg elements. It features tower, spell and item cards that you can fuse or upgrade and you can get them either by winning battles or purchasing booster packs at the store. The game is pretty challenging if you want to get all 3 stars and 2 achievements in every level which gives it its replay value. To sum up, the game may not be the best tower defense out there but its unique gameplay makes it worth playing and deserves an enthusiastic 8
The game is really beautiful. It is fun to play and you will find yourself spending a lot of time trying to level up. Even though combat is repetitive it doesn't get dull at all. The content you can unlock is massive and that is what gives the game its replay value.
This game is pretty fun. It is colourful and I like its cartoonish art. I had a lot of fun playing it and it is not frustrating at all, even when you lose. It's as difficult as it should be, meaning it has a lot of replayability value as it constantly lures you back for more. Another little gem in the store
The game is EXCELLENT! The story is great and combat is a lot of fun! However, the best thing in the game is the art. The game is beautiful and the work the developer has done with painting the environment, the enemies and the protagonists is OUTSTANDING! This game must be one of the best looking games I have ever played and the npcs are all voiced which is a nice and impressive touch (fidget's voice is the best). I rarely write reviews but I think this game is worth it. I don't think anyone would dislike this game since there isn't anything bad in this game. And the price makes it all the more appealing. I recommend this game by all means and hope we see a new project from the developers as soon as possible ^^
The game is FUN. You can chain combos, gather gems and fight with other COM controlled players while building up your score to get crowns (this is a great replayability opportunity). The gameplay is as simple as pressing 2 buttons, which looks easy, however, it can get quite challenging as you progress. I thought about giving it a 7 but it's a really fun game and 10 dollars/euros on Steam is a fair price
A very nice DLC. The plot is very satisfying and you're going to have hilarious moments with your squad and former squad members, which is a really nice way to end the trilogy, even though the new mini-games in the casino and the arcade are pretty dull..
