This game does 2 things right. Fishing, and dual classing. Other then that, everything in this game is designed to troll you. Limits on everything, worthless rewards for quests, stingy dungeons after lvl 60, GMs that like to bully people, troll events, insistence upon doing the main quest , lots of bait-and-switch mechanics, purposefully vague item descriptions, oppressive RNG on everything, major p2w cash shop, plagued with gold seller spam.... The dual classing is seamless and switches weapons automatically when needed. The combat is ok, but the fishing.. the fishing is about the only thing that rewards you properly for the time you are spending. Additionally you can level your character, weapon , and eidolon to max by doing nothing but fishing if you wish. So basically this game is a fishing sim. Enjoy!

Ok until lvl 15 and then you hit a leveling grind thats insane. Add in daily limits for everything (even limits on how many mobs you can kill in a day and how many characters you can delete..everything just limited to death )and a heavy repair cost just for attacking ... pretty much punishes players that want to play. This is on par for Aeria games. Limits , limits and more oppressive limits. Whats the point in playing a game that doesn't want you to play? Aeria adds insult to injury by capitalizing on many peoples gambling addictions as all aeria games have a "slot machine" type game that has all the really desirable items in game, with literally 0.00 chance of getting said item. Truly a horrible and greedy company/game.

there are now reports of ppl using some app to put fake pokemon in places and then when someone comes looking for the pokemon , they get ambushed, robbed etc. beware of going looking for pokemon anywhere thats secluded or not in a well traveled/well lit public area. I think this is an interesting idea, but unfortunately it doesnt work well in real world application. People are too predatory nowadays to be able to interact normally anymore. the days of playing social games IRL with strangers has past.

Not sure what the hype is about but just a few cons to know about before getting this title - no tutorial (just drops you into your world and you figure out everything else) -clunky feel to actions( eg. the pickaxe digs up dirt behind me sometimes..seems random where it actually digs) -the biggest issue IMO- 2D. Nothing like removing a whole spatial dimension to kill the immersion..

all 10 votes are employees or fanboys. either way worthless. Its really fun up to level 58. But then you have to deal with wait timers on resetting solo dungeons (hour+ where as ALL the previous dungeons were 1 -3 min wait). This is an attempt to force you to group to level or grind out vanguard quests (kill 10 of x mob) which dont even give close to enough xp to be worth it. Basically at 58 they severely reduce the fun and increase the grind and wait. Also this game has a bad habit of releasing new classes that are severely overpowered compared to the existing classes (which isnt the problem). They then wait for everyone to start complaining , and then nerf the class to oblivion(this is the problem). worth a play if you have nothing else to play . not worth spending a dime on(you can buy almost everything from the auction house with gold anyways). and just be prepared for the grind wall and to "hurry up and wait at 58"

probably one of the worst mmos to ever be released pros- small learning curve gold is semi-easy to get item improvement is easy you can buy premium currency for gold from players (for crazy amts of gold but yeah) the music is great cons- click to move(and no option for otherwise) dated graphics poor travel/teleport system slow run speed mostly spanish speaking community boring combat auction house system works thru lil timed merchants you can deploy , cities are littered with these merchants. oppressively small inventory (which of course is expandable with premium currency..lols) cash shop thats extremely p2w mage is only healer class (cmon guys , a glass healer..gimme a break) no pet classes open pvp with no warning of entering a open pvp area !!! (this took the score from a 4 to a 1, this game is unplayable)

This game is OK. its kinda like rift (targeted combat) but with asian themed mobs and environment. I removed the crafting negative i had listed as its actually a decent crafting system (at least for cooking , as you dont really have to spend anything to get lvls) There are alot of missteps but ultimately everything out right now is so bad, that this actually becomes playable and decent when you consider what options you have.some pet peves tho... - quests where the objective is to buy something from the cash shop- this is just bad form and its downright insulting. We all know your stupid cash shop is there. Most of us dont give 2 shts . making a quest (or in this game ,2 quests) like this is like the devs saying "lol the players are so stupid , they will fall for this!!" - no pet classes- **** favorite class type. -no player housing- this isnt a big deal to me but maybe to others -no healer ****?? my second favorite class type... -everything sells to vendor for 1 silver.. (some of the items you need at the beginning are only 1 silver thankfully but still..hows a normal weap/green weap/blue weap all sell for one silver??) -most skills you use (if not all in some classes) not only use mana to cast but also uses "energy" which you have to replenish with food, but oh guess what , you cant eat enough food because you get "full"..which means youre constantly dealing with your energy level and buying food. Oh and of course you can get a pill from the cash shop that drops your fullness so you can get more energy. (aeria thank you for being so absurdly obvious in your scam attempts, makes it real easy to see em coming. )- Theres more but ill add it later. Ultimately tho , about a 6 . worth playing for free, but i wouldnt spend a dime on this

+fun combat (sorta , for the summoner anyway imo) +small dungeon maps +you can use all the rng weapons and accessories you get , to level up your class specific ones (the purple gear) -Basically just an action adventure game with a couple rpg elements. -Very linear and rigid character development. -Leveling feels rather pointless and slow. - No auction house access until lvl 16 and even then you can only put 10 items a DAY up. - Tons of bots all over, also spamming the channel with gold sell spam. -NO ARMOR (this one i really dont understand) all your "armor" is just for looks and you get your stats from accessories. - Class imbalance as summoners and warlocks (pet classes) can solo 3 man dungeons no prob but none of the other classes can. -NO MOUNTS ! (you have to run/glide everywhere and to move fast you have to use sprint and that runs out quick) -annoying delay between battle and when you can sprint again, which sometimes goes for quite a while - -only 2 chars allowed to be created for free users- -cant send MAIL without buying NCoins- (comon devs wtf is that sht) -terrible crafting system -7day wait to delete a character , punishes you for wanting to try other classes (and since you only have 2 char slots ..) -nothing sells to the vendor for more then 1 copper, nothing, and with only being alble to sell 10 items a day on the auction, makes getting money really tough. They expect you to grind dailies for paltry amounts of money . -quests are extremely unrewarding- real disappointment .Ultimately , was worth playing for free, but I wouldn't spend a dime on this garbage.

Not even sure where to begin with how bad this game is. I think people are starved for mmos so they are willing to put up with all kinds of stuff in a game and still give it good ratings. first of all , any 10 is automatically disregarded and down voted as nothing can be a 10. Nothing. So that makes you a fanboy or an employee if you voted 10. NOW that that's established, on to the game... -open pvp I could stop at that but ill go on. -ridiculous learning curve -takes forever to do anything -everything costs points! you cant just go gathering for a while , unless youve saved up pts from waiting... -tons of wait mechanics -progression was much too slow for me , not trying to marry a game ... felt more like a job lol a 4 from me. Im just not as starved for an mmo as some of these reviewers.

pros: -lots of depth -interesting currency system cons: absurdly small player inventory....cant even collect all the items that drop from one boss... and no way apparently to make it larger. This is why this game was a 6 for me... woulda been much better if you had a larger inventory. i played for 3 hours one day and counted how many times i had to go to town to sell... 15 times....15!!!! ridiculous The labyrinth (which you must clear to even get access to the xpac classes ) is designed poorly with too much emphasis on dodging clusters of traps that one shot you. Oh and you cant die in the labyrinth or you have to start all over. Terrible design and makes the ascendancy classes unaccessible. also no auction house.. closest they have ais a third party website where people connect to trade stuff (lol what year did this come out?? pretty sure auction houses were already a MMO staple by the time this was made) depends entirely on horribly calibrated RNG..everything is random , every time you try and modify an item you gotta sit there and gamble ...should be able to just set whatever stats you want... super tired of game devs using the RNG crutch . This game is so bloody RNG that you would be lucky to get anything that you want ...EVER!! this is the other reason i gave this a 6. too much rng...

pros: sort of Balrur's Gate style content cons: -You can only use items that are equipped in battle and you cant move items from your bag to active use during combat, so this means you have to already know what kind of damage your enemy is weak toward before you go into the battle, or keep reloading until you guess correctly. -no pick pocketing npcs -fatigue /athletics system isn't needed and just slows you down and adds annoyance . if you wanted reality you wouldn't be playing a video game. hunger fatigue systems like this are just a developers cheap way to keep people from completing content faster then they want, instead of making enough content that it wont matter. This system reminded me of getting hungry in minecraft.. -Tons of TL;DR .. I am not trying to read a book here -combat is pretty boring . basically just click on the enemy and wait for your char to kill them, -fast mode needs to be toggled constantly instead of just being an option in the gameplay options -no markers to show quest objectives , forcing you to read adding to more of TL;DR in the game ultimately I'd say a pretty weak version of Baldur's Gate.

For a f2p game this is not bad. PROS: +very fast leveling (many ways to gain xp, some don't even require actual gameplay) +mount and flying mount given to you through a quest at early levels (under 30) +combat is enjoyable and familiar +access to pets early on +all your other typical mmo stuff(crafting etc) CONS: -very p2w. all the cool stuff is behind a paywall, and at high levels you pretty much have to spend money in the cash shop on gear to even be able to dish out the dps you need. -auction house runs on different currency then you get from quests/mobs (still dunno where to get the ah currency from ) which makes the currency you get from questing feel much less useful. There is gear that you can buy with it early on but you end up leveling past that gear very fast at the beginning anyways. -fast leveling is a curse not a blessing: you level extremely fast in this game because the devs want you to become "invested" into your character enough that when they hit ya with the pay wall at end game for gear , you're more likely to pay . I found this to feel very much like a bait and switch scam.

Recent and upcoming changes have cause me to reduce my score from a 7 to a 2. They are making changes to this game that will make it severely P2W and even MORE grind heavy. Pros: +Minecraft had a child with Guild Wars 2 + Lots of classes (14) unfortunately can only be unlocked from the store with credits now. +Lots of players +Weekly updates with bug fixes and content +Public Test Server (the best part about this game , accessible when you have any max lvl class on the live server, however this may change soon with their upcoming P2W revamp) +More colors then minecraft +Fast and fun PvE combat +4 different houses (called cornerstones)you can design and use +can make your own club and club world +3 "professions" +No queue to play (if it says there's a queue its cause the server is getting an update. not sure what the other reviewers are talking about a queue) +Lots of mounts +Lots of stuff to collect +Can switch classes anywhere +Auction house that you can access anywhere Cons: - VERY MUCH P2W !! Classes are now cash purchase only and no longer able to be bought with in game currency. also the majority of the game store wares are credits only . An extreme amount of grinding required to do anything on the live server with all of it being able to be bypassed by paying real money( and expensive too ..10$ wont get you much ) also there's the mastery system ..see below - Strange leveling system . Ends at lvl 20 and after that , you gain levels by upgrading your gear which requires more grinding somewhat boring content and mining(or of course paying real money )[EDIT: this is changing soon as they are reworking all the classes and leveling in general making it take longer to level] - If not mentioned yet ..EXTREMELY GRIND HEAVY on the live server (non test server).. -Mastery system , you gain mastery when you collect things , level your classes, level "professions" .. this is the worst and most blatant attempt to get players to spend money that i have ever seen .. In order to do end game content at all you need to be a very high level of mastery (if not maxed) and the ONLY way to get max mastery ..is by spending well over 50$ in the cash shop. -No in game mail system - Random crashes (game wide issue not on my end) Overall they are taking a very P2W direction, and ignoring the existing player base which is in an uproar about it.

Pros: +engaging story +smooth PvE combat +Dimension system is interesting +Can solo or group to level effectively +Can get real money credits through in game currency +Great graphics +Large player community +world events +weekly updates +leveling is rewarding Cons: - Never seen such grinding.. nothing in RIFT gets done quickly.. -end game consists of repetitive daily and weekly quests , and dungeons to build up enough marks (takes years to get enough because you have a finite amount of dungeon bonuses per week. ) and just when you get enough marks they release an xpac that makes all your gear obsolete overnight. When your not grinding dailies/weeklies , youre waiting for raids . see next -Raiding --worst raiding of any game i have played. Extremely difficult and unforgiving on boss fights. Requires grinding the boss fight over and over and over again to get the mechanics down ..and oh you can only do it once a week. And then once you actually get through the raid you get to the end chest and its one piece of gear that everyone in the raid gets to roll on.. so more often then not ,you will put in a ton of work and still get nothing. -TOO MUCH RNG! Every single thing in the game is RNG based , which of course , adds to the grind. Many many situations where I spent hours working toward something just to never get it (but got to watch 3 other people get it like it was nothing ) Even the chests that you pay real money for are "random" , and usually contain many items that are not only useless (pvp announcer anyone?), but unable to be resold to players or vendors so usually deleted. -Dungeon runs take too long and have too high a learning curve for people new to that dungeon. also the loot is for the group to roll on so the majority of times you end up running the dungeon and getting nothing u can use at the end. -Constant remaking of the classes , you just get your rotation of your spells you have to cast and they then change it all and you're back to square one with relearning it. -No flying mounts (and the devs have stated they will not be adding them in the future) this means you are running **** the initial mount you can buy is so slow it doesnt even seem faster then being on foot. -TONS of restrictions unless you spend money.. no auction house access, the classes you have access to are under powered compared to the pay-for classes, you get knocked off your mount when anything looks at you, more that i cant remember offhand. All in all id say its worth playing ... but not worth paying a single dime for.

Pros +fun for about 10-24 hours or so +"f2p" (as all f2p games out now tho its more freemium then free) +Enjoyable PvE combat for cannoneer and evoker (the other two not so much ) Cons -Severely unbalanced classes , cannoneer and evoker is only real viable classes. Melee gets ate in PvP. PvE the melee classes are constantly taking damage where as the cannoneer and evoker are mobile nuking kite machines. -Devilian form seems like a punishment .. have to level and gear it up separately which makes you end up not using it ... until you try and do the daily dungeon and it forces you to use the form during one of the floors , every day . Both for the cannoneer and evoker, the devilian form turns them from AoE death machines into single target squirt guns. -Extremely grindy . Once you are around lvl 50 or so you start doing the same 3 dungeons over and over and over ... and the layout never changes. -lots of limitations which can be negated , of course , through cash shop purchases. (p2w) -to add to the grind, stats on gear is random -gender locked classes (which i dont care too much about but it does show either ineptitude or cheapness on the part of the designers.) -no replay ability . Once you get a character to end game lvl you most likely wont want to do it again.

Pros: +Can get a flying mount that also doubles as an attack pet (and resource gathering minion if you want it to )within first five- 10 mins of playing. This costs nothing. ALL MMOS SHOULD ADOPT THIS !!! If you have a pet thats big enough to ride , it should be able to attack for ya. +Lots of dragons to tame and alot of them look really cool +easy learning curve +smooth and enjoyable combat (at least smooth on my machine) +Getting hit doesn't knock you off your mount +No cost for respec under lvl 15 +Nice main quest path with side quests all along the way +Housing system which is not just for looks +extensive crafting system Cons: - Extremely limited inventory , dragon lair, and bank space. This is a bit tough to handle in the beginning and getting to 20 doesnt give much relief (get a free row of inv which is 5 or 6 spaces at 10 and 20)This can be unlocked for "diamonds" which are the cash currency. its roughly 1500 diamonds for 5 bucks , and that's more then enough to get all the inventory you need but it just feels like you're paying to make that part of the game not ****, which doesn't feel good. -mobs drop a lot of trash that fill up your inventory quickly (and at first its difficult to know which stuff is trash and which is worth keeping) -Classes seem unbalanced ; As another review stated, mobs close the gap between you pretty quickly which make the archer and mage classes basically glass cannons that are always going to take hits. The oracle class (cloth wearing AoE melee class) is strange but IMO the most fun of the 4 classes. The last class which i forget the name of but is the main tank class and wears heavy armor can deal out decent damage which makes archer and mage even less viable .why play a glass cannon when you can play a titanium cannon? -Crashes to desktop on average 1-2 times per play session (2-4 hours) -crafting some items (with increased chance to produce rare results) costs diamonds -chat functions are a bit clunky , you have to get a cursor by hitting esc or one of the other character screen hotkeys and then click in the typing area to get your cursor (typing /w or /t or any slash command doesn't work without placing cursor first) Overall I would definitely recommend giving this game a try . Especially if you like the concept of taming different dragons that are mounts and attack pets.
