Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary

Shortly after I bought Halo 4, I went to Gamestop and bought Halo Anniversary. The game was pretty good and it is nice to see the start of the Halo Universe. The new graphics are a welcome addition and it is really cool to press the back button on your Xbox controller to see the original Halo graphics. Looking at the old graphics, I find it so amazing that graphics back in the day were state of the art and it seemed that graphics cannot be any better than that. Fast forwarding to today, the graphics seem almost crappy. Although the graphics are great, it doesn't make Halo Anniversary good it's all about the gameplay and the story. Just a little heads up, I have only now gotten into the Halo story so my understanding of Halo is very limited. You play as a super solider named Master Chief and your job is to stop the Covenant and trying to destroy the Halo rings. There are many things you can explore during the campaign and many achievements you can find. The characters are very interesting, Sgt. Johnson is hilarious, Cortana is nice to help you out, and you will meet many other characters during the campaign. I highly encourage to buy this game and if you are new to Halo, start off with this game. It will help you get into the Halo universe.

Wow a good Sonic game! I have not seen that in a while. I enjoyed this game and I still play this game today trying to beat my original times, and get some achievements. Sonic Generations goes back to what people love most about Sonic games, Running, collecting rings, and destroying Dr. Robotnik's robots. The game starts off by showing Sonic and his friends throwing him his 20th Birthday party. During the party, Sonic's friends get **** into this time travel portal and get frozen in time. Sonic goes into the portal and has to save his friends. While trying to save his friends, Sonic runs into his old 2D self from the first Sonic game! It is amazing to see the 2D and the 3D Sonic together. In order to save Sonic's friends, you have to complete each act 2 times with each character or Sonic in this case. The 2D Sonic runs in 2D like in the original game and the graphics look amazing for 2D. The 3D Sonic runs in 3D and has more abilities like jump higher and run a little bit faster. As much 3D Sonic is good, I started off with the 2D Sonic and that's the character I love playing as the most. The gameplay is awesome and you will be playing this game over and over again. Its about time Sonic had a good game. There is pretty level designs, problem solving, and great boss battles. Try this game out, You will like it.

There is not really much to say about NHL 13. Its the same mechanics from the previous games, EA doesn't improve much on the control, and it seems that the worst teams in the NHL are actually the toughest teams in the game. Honestly, If you are playing as the San Jose Sharks and you face off against the Columbus Blue Jackets the worst team in the NHL with a goalie (Steve Mason) that's a one year wonder and he plays like Patrick Roy in his prime? Give me a break. It seems like the NHL franchise is getting worse each year. EA doesn't add anything new, there is little graphical changes here and there, and updated rosters. Even though I mentioned some of the bad things in NHL 13, the reason why this game deserves an 8 is it still manages to be entertaining, the player movement feels smooth, and the game is trying to be realistic as possible, but sometimes I feel NHL 13 is trying too hard to be realistic. If you play hockey like I do, get the game, play it with your friends and have some fun with it no matter how much you suffer when you play the game.

Before I talk great about this game let me give you a little back story of me and Batman games. I love Batman, I think he is one of the coolest superheros of all time and it never seemed that Batman could not get a good game out on the market. I have played numerous Batman games like Batman Forever, The Adventures of Batman and Robin, Batman Begins, and lastly Batman Vengeance. After Batman Vengeance, I never thought that Batman would make a Blockbuster game. Well on August, 2009 I played Arkham Asylum and I was blown away from what I saw. Its the second best Batman game to date only behind it's sequel Arkham City. The Graphics, the fighting, the story, the villains, the setting, everything was just perfect! The plot of the game is your Batman and you have just caught the joker and you are sending him away to Arkham Asylum where all the high end criminals and Lunatics are at. Batman is suspicious about the Joker because he caught the him without any issues. His fears became real when the Joker devised a plan to release all of Batman's main enemies like Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Bane, Scarecrow, etc. Batman must stop these criminals before they reach Arkham city and cause terror. All of the actors from the Batman Animated series reprise their roles like Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker. It is extremely fun to fight these enemies and have to go through a series of puzzles and problem solving in order to defeat them. There are a lot of side-missions you can play and it is exciting to do these missions because they add something to the story. As Batman, you have a lot of gadgets to choose from like the Batarang, Explosive Gel, Grapple gun and many more. Even though there a lot of good things about the game, there is some frustrating parts as well. There are some missions where it might feel a little slow, the boss battles are way too easy, the menu might have too much information you need to know, and there are some parts that the game doesn't exactly tell you what to do so it might leave you confused and it will piss you off. Regardless, this game is awesome and you should really try this game.

Spider-Man: The Movie

I bought this game when I was very young and still remains one of my favorite games. The graphics, gameplay, story, and the action are wonderful. If you have not played this game before, the game doesn't follow the movie completely. I am okay with Movie License games not following the movie completely, but most find a way to screw up the game. Spider Man the Game is not like that. The game does take some elements from the movie, however it adds some fun entertaining levels. Some of Spider Man's villains from the comics make an appearance like Shocker, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, and the main antagonist of the game, Green Goblin. The controls are very easy, the game gives you help on what your suppose to do, and it is just fun to play the game. The game does have many positive sides, the game also has a couple of negatives. The camera at certain points can be very "Wonky", the boss battles can be extremely difficult, and the campaign is really short. Even though there is negatives, Spider Man the game is fun and I encourage you to play the game.

I was spectacle when I first heard the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was coming on the Xbox Live Arcade. I didn't get the feeling that the game would be as great as the original trilogy of Sonic games and that's what I expected when I played the game. The Graphics look great and arguably the best looking Sonic game to date. The gameplay is alright. The game is very short, the levels are basically the same from Sonic the Hedgehog 1 with minor changes. Why call this Sonic the Hedgehog 4 if you are going to rehash the original Sonic game. There are also some problem solving to get through a level which drived me insane. Last is the music the game is fantastic. The opening theme to the first level is so nice I went up listening to the same song while I'm playing my music. Not much to say about the game. Its basically the same sonic games as the others.

F1 2012 is a awesome game! Great graphics, great gameplay, and many more. If you looked at my previous reviews, I reviewed Forza 4 and I bought the game and I thought at that time that Forza is the best racing game I have played. Well, after playing F1 for a couple of races, I can honestly say F1 2102 is the best racing game I have played. Take into account that I only have like four racing game in my collection so may range is limited. Nevertheless, F1 2012 is very fun. If you are new to Formula 1 racing games, there is a Young Drivers Tutorial about how to play the game and be successful. It might take a little while to get adjusted to the gameplay. After you are down with the tutorial, you have many game modes to choose from like Time Trial, Time Challenge, Season Challenge, Career, etc. The time trials are self-explanatory. Just try to beat the time. The Season Challenge and career are two different modes. Season Challenge is basically you race for a team and you have to beat a rival that you choose. You can choose any rival you want and if you are a big fan of real life Formula 1, you will be really happy to know that all the real life people are in the game. Once you have chosen which rival you want to face, you have to beat them twice in order to advance your team. The graphics in the game are really pretty. Something as simple and textures are very nice. Now the best part about F1 is the gameplay. What strikes me about the gameplay is it is fast! When you are racing, you have to pay very close attention and if you take your eye off the road for just a split second your car will be flying across the track. I strongly encourage you to buy this game. I bought this game from Best Buy for $45 and hope that you can find a place near you that can sell you this game for the same amount of money.

Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse

After so much waiting, I finally got this game yesterday for Valentines Day (Thank You Mom and Dad). I've been trying to get my hands on this game for a little while, but due to some issues and conflicting opinions about this game I held off on Family Guy for a while. Now how is the game? Is it good or is it one of the worse games recently released? Well, I played the game for like 4 hours yesterday and the game is not that bad what people make it out to be. The game is like a missing Family Guy cartoon. If you are not a fan of Family Guy or have not been following the series, you might feel lost. Stewie's arch enemy Bertram returns after in one of the Family guy episodes he was killed in a alternate universe, but since Stewie nor Brian couldn't kill him for reasons I have no idea so Bertram comes back to exact revenge on Stewie and Brian. Stewie and Brian must stop Bertram from taking his revenge and must go to multiple universes to stop Bertram's evil plan. You can play as Stewie or Brian and both have different weapons to choose from and different inventories. The downside is if your taking critical damage from one character and you switch to the other character, you have the same health bar. Luckily, the game supplies you with multiple health packs and ammo to get. The game is fun and entertaining, but can feel really boring. Its a simple story you must complete. Does this make the game bad? No. Swapping between Stewie and Brian is fun and destroying objects in your path, shooting every enemy that comes your way, and many other stuff you can do. Its also fun to hear Brian and Stewie shout out old phrases and saying from the cartoons. At the same time can be annoying because they shout it every 5 minutes and say the same thing all the time. Family Guy is definitely not the best game in the world, but is not terrible either. Fans of Family Guy will probably enjoy this game and if you want to try out a different game try this.

What a fun this game was. I played this game for hours and hours on end without getting bored. I think the game is not as difficult and not as challenging as Jedi Outcast, but still manages to be a great game. You can create your own characters, choose the color of your lightsaber, and many more. The gameplay is extremely fun. When you start your story, there are many different missions you can choose from and doesn't have to be in order. You face some old Star Wars enemies like the stormtroopers, and the dreaded ATAT walkers. Then you go up against some new Reborn Sith with some new abilities. Probably the major improvement in the game is you get your lightsaber at the start of the game and you can choose what force powers you want first and can upgrade. If you get mostly Jedi force powers like the Mind Trick, Jedi shielding of some sort, etc Luke Skywalker, or Kyle Katarn will be happy that you learn the ways of the Jedi. However, if you get mostly Sith powers like, Grip, Lightning, Drain, etc Luke or Kyle will scold you for getting mostly Sith powers and you are luring more towards the dark side. Its tough choosing what powers you want because if your a person like me who want to fight Sith and go on the attack, you want the darker force powers, however you need some good force powers to keep your character on the light side of the force. Its a conflict between good and evil and its done exceptionally well. The final boss will bring back some old memories of Jedi Outcast and will be a thrill to finish the game. If there is some place that sells this game, I highly recommend you buy this game.

What the F**k is this S**T?! This S**t ****! The Kinect ****! Why do we keep forgiving this inferior product? When will we understand that the Kinect is not made for the hardcore gamers! I have never in my life played a game this terrible. If you look at all the games I have reviewed, I considered Sniper Ghost Warrior, and Nascar 08 to be the worst games I have ever played, but playing this game yesterday on the Kinect, this game takes the spot as the WORST game I have ever seen. Don't take my word for it. Many people have the same complaints I do. Sh***y graphics, annoying characters, no help whatsoever, short and crappy campaign, and worse of all the control is BROKEN!! BROKEN!!! I have tried numerous things to improve my experience for the Kinect and it still ****! I don't know who's idea was this, but this is the worst idea for a video game I have seen! Do not buy this game unless you want to torture yourself or be sent to a cruel and unusual punishment.

Sonic the Fighters is a OKAY game for the most part. It's not the Sonic game where you run and collect rings and defeat Dr. Robotnik. All you do in this game is fight and fight till the cows come home. The gameplay is EXTREMELY short and can be beat by just pressing one button all the way through. The characters have little to no special abilities and they are all the same. The graphics are also very dull and way to cartoony for me The fights are extremely easy until you get to the last fight of the game where now it is extremely hard! I won't give anything away, but it took me almost 10 attempts to finally beat the final boss and the game. For most Sonic fans, this game is not that good, but if your bored and want to try something new and unique, this is the game for you.

Laugh at me if you want, I just bought this game from Best Buy because one of my friends convinced me to buy the game saying that the game was good and I had to try it out. I really didn't know what to expect going into GTA 4. When I put the game in, I was blown away how pretty the game looked and this is the first game I've played where I love most of the characters in the story. Niko is a the main protagonist who went to America from Russia to seek a new life. While in Liberty City, a fictional city in Los Angeles, he meets up with his cousin Roman. Roman is a funny character that's in major debt to Loan Sharks. Niko must help his cousin out. While trying to help out his cousin, he meets a girl named Michelle and wants go out with her, but is side-lined from all the work he is doing to help Roman. The characters that you meet early in the game have their own personality instead of being carbon copies of other characters in the game. I have not gotten far into the campaign, but I really enjoy the game and hope I have more fun with it later on. I encourage you to buy this game.

Terrible graphics, horrendous controls, s###ty story, and a multiplayer that would make you go INSANE! I bought this game thinking that it will be a very good and well-managed sniper game and the thought of a sniper only game was ingenious. Instead it ended up being a huge flop! I should have known that this game was terrible when it was selling for $10 in a bargain bin. I don't even remember what your suppose to do even though I finished the whole game. The story is so forgettable! You won't care about the main character nor the other characters in the game. Do not buy this game! This game is just TERRIBLE!

The Amazing the Spider-Man is overall a pretty good game. Even though I find it to be a cheap knock off of Batman Arkham City. The game and the campaign are fun, the side-missions are enjoyable, the voice-acting is cool, and the graphics are great to look at. Although the voice-acting was for the most part good, it kinda **** that they don't use the actors from the movie to do the voice overs in the game. Instead of their being one antagonist The Lizard, fans of Spider Man are treated to see some old enemy named Rhino, and one of Spider Man's girlfriends from the comics The Black Cat. The control is pretty much the same from Batman Arkham City and Arkham Asylum and people who have played this game will have an easy time adjusting to Spider man. This is one of better movie license games and I highly Suggest you buy this game.

Feb 8, 2013
This was my first Battlefield game and I loved it at first then thinking it was significantly better than Call of Duty. As I played this game more and more, my opinion slowly changed about this game. Why? Well the campaign feels boring and I felt like DICE put a campaign in the game just to be there. Boring characters, basic objectives, and generic bad guys. The story just feels bland and really has no replay value. The Call of Duty campaign has more of a story than this. The controls feel very "clunky" and a bit confusing. I am so used to Halo and Call of Duty controls and I was hoping that Battlefield's controls will feel just as smooth. Many people might disagree with me on this one, but the graphics in the game look off. I can't really explain why, but something about the graphics does not look right. Last is I absolutely hate the mulitiplayer. The maps are too huge, and I am always confused what to do. The multiplayer is to complicated for me and it just ruins the experience for me. The reason why this game is a 7 is because the game isn't terrible and sometimes I find it entertaining. Maybe I am being hypercritical about this game because I am comparing it to two major franchises, Halo and Call of Duty. Even If I am grading it too harsh, I kinda expected the game to be a little different.

Halo: Reach is awesome! After ODST, I was "Haloed out" you might say and I didn't think Bungie had anymore ideas for another Halo game. I was completely wrong! Halo: Reach's story is great and I won't give away the ending, but it is very sad to see all you have worked for. The original guns have improved and Bungie added some new guns like the DMR. I find it satisfying when I shoot grunts in the head with a one shot with a DMR and hear that Birthday celebration all day long. Most of partners you work with a very fun to be around and can be funny. Firefight is another thing I find fun in Halo: Reach. Millions of Grunts, Jackles, Elites, etc coming at you shooting you from every corner and you taking them down one by one. God is that A nice feeling after you take all those enemies down. Last what makes me love Halo: Reach is the multiplayer. Its the best mulitiplayer I have ever played and its better than pretty much of all the Call of Duty's mulitplayer in my opinion. Halo: Reach is great, try to get this game from like a Gamestop or some place. Its great!

Feb 7, 2013
This was my first Assassin's Creed game and I absolutely loved it. The time period Ubisoft chose couldn't be any better. The colonial times and the American Revolution are my favorite historical periods in U.S history. The new Assassin, Connor, is a very good character with a sad backstory and you will enjoy playing as him throughout the whole game. The combat is very cool, but doesn't feel as smooth compared to a game like Batman Arkham city, however still manages to be easy to fight and fun to kill oncoming British soldiers. The story is something that people will enjoy and it is pretty cool to see historical figures like Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Samuel Adams, etc. From what I heard, in the previous Assassin's Creed games, there are side-missions that you can do and lets say that you failed the objective, you have to keep doing that side-mission until you get it completed. If what I am hearing is correct, Assassin's Creed 3 doesn't force you to complete the side-mission which is nice for a player like me which has a difficult time completing just a side-mission to leave the mission and try something else. Although there are a lot of good things about Assassin's Creed 3, there is a lot of issues. During the campaign, you will find fairly a lot of graphical glitches. Another problem is the battles are kinda disappointing. Instead of fighting an army of British soldiers one by one, you have to help the colonists help fight the British like shooting cannons at them, and running through rocks while British Soldiers shoot at you. Not what I expected. Last is the character Connor is good, but can be very bland sometimes and you really don't know whats going through his mind half of the time. Looking past these flaws, this game is really good and highly suggest you buy this game.

When I first heard that a Star Wars game was coming out for the Kinect, I was so excited! Swinging your lightsabers around, playing missions from the movies, etc. I couldn't wait for this game to come out. I had high hopes for this game and what I played was nothing short than disappointing. A mini-campaign that is more forgettable than the plot from the prequels? A Rancor mode? A DANCE MODE??!! What is this s**t!! this ain't the Star Wars game I was expecting! I can live with these modes, however the most disappointing thing in the game is the lightsaber movement. I hate it when you have to control the lightsaber that the game wants you to swing it. I expected to swing my lightsaber around in any motion I want and have no issues whatsoever. The figure 8 you have to do to defend yourself from incoming droids, and "boss battles" is so boring and tedious. It ****. Even though I do not like the game modes that Lucasarts, and Terminal Reality chose, it still manages to be fun, entertaining, and gives you a good exercise. The modes are fun, but it was not what I expected from a Star Wars game.

The one thing I truly love about this game is the control. Blazing Angels has one of the best controls I have played. Its simple, and it feels very smooth. I rarely find my some fighting with the controls compared to other flying games. Another thing that I really like about the game is the missions are fast and the game helps you in what your suppose to do. What keeps this game at like a 5 or a 6 is because with the story and the graphics being dull, the game does feel very boring at certain points and sometimes the game feels to easy. One word to describe Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast would be fantastic! The story, the gameplay, challenges, everything that make Star Wars games great is all put into one game! This honestly the best Star Wars game I have ever played, and probably my favorite game out of over 100 Xbox and Xbox 360 games. That's saying a lot. So what makes this game great? Lets start off with the story. You play as the main protagonist Kyle Katarn and his partner Jan were on a mission on a planet called Kejim. While on Kejim, Jan is kidnapped by the main antagonists Tavion and Desaan who make Kyle think that Jan is dead. Kyle seeks revenge and he relearned how to use the force and his lightsaber skills from the first game. Kyle must travel through some planets like Bespin and Nar shadda to find clues about Desaan and his rising reborn army of Sith. Second the gameplay is great. There are so many things you can explore and every level you play is like an adventure. You can usually find Easter eggs of old Star Wars games and movies. You will play the game over and over again without being bored once. There are some problems with the game like the datapad doesn't really help you in what your suppose to go or what to do. Another problem is the game at certain points can get really dark and you cannot see a platform or anything to jump on. Looking past those 2 major flauds, this game is great and is one of the first games I give a perfect rating. Final verdict for this game is 10/10!

Like any big Call of Duty fan, I was excited when Black Ops 2 was announced. When November 13, 2012 came and I put the disc into my Xbox tray, I was ecstatic! After a few months of playing Black Ops 2 the game is slightly above average for a Call of Duty game. The Campaign is probably the best since Modern Warfare 2 and the choices you make during the campaign do affect the ending which I find awesome. Zombies has also improved like the new perk Tombstone which saves your money and your weapons you achieved when a Zombie kills you. Also Zombies keeps most of the old perks and weapons like Juggernog, self-revive, Ray gun, etc. Last what most people care most about Call of Duty the Multiplayer. Multiplayer improved in the guns, graphics, and the new pick 10 system. Now the bad things about Black Ops 2. Lets start with the Lag. The Lag in Black Ops 2 is nothing more than horrendous! I usually find myself lagging out almost every game and I have very good connection. Another problem is the maps. You thought Modern Warfare 3 and the infamous Downturn was bad, Downturn is better than MOST of the maps in Black Ops 2! How do you make a map worse than DOWNTURN! Last the game at certain points feel very repetitive like the campaign and the multiplayer. It's pretty much the same Call of duty game we the fans expect. Looking at the user reviews for Black Ops 2, the game might have its issues that we all hate so much, but Black Ops 2 remains one of the better than most of the FPS out there. Black ops 2 is sometimes flaud but not enough to bring the rating to a 5 or 6. It's 7 or 8 at best.

Before I played Halo 4, I was a big Call of Duty fan. I fell like ever since Modern Warfare 2, the series has been going down ever since. I couldn't stand Black Ops 2 anymore and I decided to try something different. I can honestly say Halo 4 is the first Halo game I have ever played, and the best FPS I have ever played. The story was remarkable, the guns were great, the sound was great, everything to me was great. 343 Industries did a great job of creating their first Halo game. If I have to nit pick certain stuff, Spartan Ops to me is kinda boring and really has no replay value compared to the campaign. Another criticism I would have is since Halo's multiplayer has taken a Call of Duty approach, I expected there to be more maps to choose from. I usually find myself playing the same maps over and over again like exile. Last is the music, don't get me wrong I love the music in Halo 4, but I found it a little disappointing that they didn't input some of the original music in the game. Nevertheless, Halo 4 is great! I really recommend this game anyone!
