Loved it. Very clever and very English. Good for children too. Teaches about compassion. There are many episodes that are laugh-out-loud funny. To see Lord Grantham of Downton Abbey in one particular episode is just too much.

Loved the movie. For a change, we see a government agency functioning well, in this case, the CIA. The cooperation rendered by the Canadians is also wonderful to see. This offsets the typical news items we hear about all day. There are still some highly functional people out there, although there are fewer and fewer of them. Tony Mendez has been totally unknown to most people until now. A true hero. I salute him. Kudos to Ben Affleck for a thrilling film. He's grown up right before our eyes, and is now a substantive director.

The movie has all the elements of a James Bond movie. Cool dude. I like it that the new Q is now a youngster, just in keeping with the times - the typical geek is a teen or a twenty-something. The mixture of new and old is great. Loved it.

This is the feel good movie of the year for me. To think that it was based on a true story. There are a few bright spots still on the horizon, it seems. Improbable pairing of the two principals, but it worked.

There was too much violence for me - some of it gratuitous violence. But I guess with news stories of the drug-related killing in Mexico, it must be realistic. Sad to see that this is reality. Good acting by the principals.

Overly long and improbable story. Wouldn't want to sit through this movie again. It was good Chris Pine is so handsome; at least, you could stare at that dish.

Great true story, played well by the main characters (Jack Black and Shirley McLaine). The profiles of the characters would make a good study paper for psychology students.

Well developed characters continue their antics. I like the different European scenes. I think it was a bit too long for children to sit through, although the kids in the audience were captivated and behaved well.

What makes a good teacher? This man proved to be one because of his great understanding of children under his tutelage. Maybe that should be the first requirement for teachers.

The movie was overly long, but one learns something about the specie, such as they're learning to do certain task, their communal life together (leadership, cooperation, family ties, etc.). Kids who are interested in animals will find it educational. A good family film.

Enjoyed the film, mainly because I like Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and their interaction with each other in the film. Nice narrative showing K as a younger man.

Liked the movie a lot. Showed you the passion and hardwork put in by the youngsters in pursuing their dream of dancing ballet professionally. Would recommend this film to young people and their familes who are seriously considering a career in the arts.

Superb acting by the principals, especially Anna Paquin. Unlikely scenarios and story, though. The protagonist is not a very likeable character and one has a difficult time identifying with her problems.

There is too much mayhem in the movie for my taste, although the story line is quite interesting: getting a group of superheroes, whose styles and personalities essentially do not click together, to get one supremely difficult task done. And the Big Boss is a black man! I would have liked to see some other minority groups, i.e., Asians and Hispanics, take a part in this huge enterprise too.

It's a fun movie overall, mocking certain elements of British society - the stuffed-shirts, mainly. Loyalty and ambition are two themes that run through the movie.

It's an extremely violent film and shows many racial stereotypes too, although I liked the fact that it shows a Chinese girl who is a mathematical genius (another stereotype). I love Jason Statham as an actor, although I think he should be given a better script to show off his acting chops.

How do you show someone who is a perfectionist and who spends his entire lifetime honing his skill at his chosen craft? Such commitment is hardly seen anymore, in our get-rich-quick society. This quiet film shows us such a Masterl. Wish I could have a bite of Jiro's sushi!

I thoroughly enjoyed the film, although the story line of a battle-to-the-death sounds bizarre to me (NOT familiar with the book; don't read fiction). I thought the lead actors were very well chosen. Loved it that the characters' personalities were developed throughout the film. Definitely looking forward to the sequels.

I am somewhat prejudiced since I am an Anglophile. I loved the witty dialogue and repartee in the film. I especially enjoyed Kristin Scott Thomas as the manipulative PR person for the Prime Minister. The story is quite improbable but it is sort of escapist, plus, you get to see a lot of lovely scenery.

My favorite movie of 2011. The story of friendship, filial loyalty and love of the cinema greatly appealed to me. It was certainly a departure from the usual fare serve up by Martin Scorsese, showing us his range.

I like the cartoon elements and the story line. Sort of "The Secret Garden"- like. Showing a strong, brave girl also appeals to my feminist instincts.

I think the background of the story is something well-informed people should be aware of. This was another Holocaust, although of a smaller scale. I love the fact that Angelina Jolie chose such a serious topic for her directorial and writing efforts. Kudos to her.
