Final Fantasy XI9

it has a steep learning curve but once you get past it this game is better then Final Fantasy XIV. But due to it's age and the fact that SE keeps trying to discard PlayOnline despite it being Square Enix's own private launcher for it's games with basically only ffxi on their for decades. there are many players that have either died or left for other games for a wide array of reasons. Almost 90% of my friends list on FFXI from 2003 is now filled with people that have both confirmed to have died and/or confirmed to have left for good and it's a shame because this is a great game but its content is drying up and Square Enix has been ignoring it in favor for other products like Final Fantasy XIV which gets all the attention from the company. Maybe if they released a sequel to this they'd give it the attention and love it deserves but for now it's best to just enjoy it while you can because sooner or later it won't be around anymore. I hope i'm wrong but it's clear to me that SE just wants FFXI to shutdown based on how they've been treating it since FFXIV was released back in 2010. If the company gave it the attention and love it deserved I would'a given it a solid 10 but... here we are in 2021 and the company is just trying to quietly brush this game under the rug.

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn5
Jul 17, 2021
Yoshi and the team did a great job improving the game from the original but they used too broad a brush. The best features from 1.0. are still missing even after so many years, things like belt glams for instance are still not there in this version and are infact being removed, which is sad to see. The problem with this product is that yes it's entertaining at first but after a few years of playing it from expansion to expansion it's clear the product is suffering from stale, repetitive, and restrictive systems and choices. Yes there can be multiple things that one can go into why they enjoy it as with many games but the thing is this game is simply getting less and less enjoyable with each decision made to make it more focused on the catering towards those that rarely play the game which causes less and less reasons to care about investing your time into continue playing the game. Yes, they did provided a reason to have invested your time into the game during the transfer from 1.0. to 2.0 but after that there is less and less reasons to bother doing so especially when you consider that nearly everything in the game as of this post is simply lacking in content to do once you've done all the previous content and have reached "endgame" which as of right now the "endgame" is simply you running through bozja to get your blade weapon and running through Eden's Promise, that's it. I'm bored, so bloody bored. I got all the beast tribes, got everything to max, got basically all achievements as well as the mounts too. now with the end of shadowlands it's clear to me that this game isn't designed for hardcore play instead it's more designed with casuals in mind. which i'm not saying there is anything wrong with being a casual but when it comes to a mmorpg if there is no fun to be had for hardcore players too then what's the point?

There's barely anything to do and the new companions are useless plus the storyline was shody at best imo. The worst thing though is that as of their last privacy agreement update with this DLC it states they will sell users information including but not limited to their legal name, age, gender, email, billing address, and other private information to basically any third party companies (and yes that includes social media and advertising companies) and since there is no way of playing this without accepting those terms. you basically need to be willing allow your private information to be sold in order to play this dlc.

Hunting For Trump0
Dec 27, 2020
The gameplay is just your run of the mile 'I just picked up unity' stuff with reused assets all over the place and Ingame there's constant meme images that depict trump as either a dwarf or a baby. In general the game is creepy not in a scary way but in the aspect of telling people to kill the united states president while calling them a 'enemy of humanity' in the process and the "worst person alive" and other nonsense. I don't know who created this as they created dummy accounts but whoever it is I believe they should go see a doctor as what they made here can only be best described as a lunatic's ravings and wishes to assassinate a president. When I contacted Steam informing them that they should remove it for these same reasons they simply informed me that because he's a public figure they dont see a problem with it, even though the art for the product is a literal gun shooting at trump on steam. (archive(dot)is/cVEMR) so yeah, don't even bother picking up the product as it's not worth playing; not even for curiosity sake

This game peaked in 2011 and hasn't recovered since. Nearly all the original team have moved on. The team remaining is filled with mostly fans of the product that all have their own vision of what the game should be like and it shows in not only the gameplay but storyline as well. Each Expansion of the product feels like it's another revamp of the same game with each new iteration being worse than the last for the most part. There is also the issue of the focus of the product which drives this harmful mentality of treating the game more of a job rather than a game as the product constantly comes out with "limited time" earnable items that are designed to keep users focused on certain areas of the game, like raiding for example. Meanwhile if you look at the games other systems they are either neglected or just downright unappealing when compared to other games out on the market. This brings me to the graphics which if you only look at the latest expansion’s region will look moderately okay but that would be selective criticism of a massive game in this market. No, the reality is that the graphics in this product is all over the place for in this product you can find a wide array of graphics from something you'd see straight from the PlayStation 1 era to even the PlayStation 2 era as well and more. What would make it worse is that these regions would be side by side one another as well. Not only breaking immersion but also breaking the looks of your character as well since the same goes for the items and even mounts in the product as well. The sound is alright though outside of some regions clearly having a lower sound quality then others, which if your leveling through the game as a fresh toon and fresh player can be quite immersion breaking as well when you do finally notice it. The leveling experience in this product is frankly not a smooth experience. There are several issues with how the product treats leveling from scratch, but I’ll focus on the main issues to lessen time. First is how the game doesn't want you to level from scratch, instead they'll try and push you straight to the end game, so you can go and play their latest content. If someone is a new player you never want them to start in the endgame, you want them to earn their way there, so they can experience the whole product and not just a small portion of it. Second is how many quests it'll toss at you, it'll be fine if it wasn't just outright tossed in my face, but it is, quite literally Infact as there is even a quest board which you must go use to get into certain regions as a new player. Third is the narrative which is just all over the place. After leveling from scratch from level 1 to max and doing all the quests in the best order I could, I was utterly confused on where I stood in the storyline as I was literally forced to constantly jump to and from the present to the past. All regions in the game follow a pattern of having a few heavily populated areas and the rest being barren land that's never used, not even for quests and even when they are supposed to be used for a quest you can sometimes find that the thing needed there is no longer something that'll spawn or was frankly somewhere else. This leads to you mostly googling on where to go and finding user comments rather than going by what the game is telling you. There is also the issue of the User Interface which is just straight up not good. For example the game has a feature that if you attack a mob you'll see a healthbar that would float above that mobs head and this interface is straight up not functionally plausible to use on some mobs as there either just too big to fit nicely on the screen while other times the healthbar gets overlapped with the other mobs near them causing you to see a huge vertical line of healthbars and not only that but the appeal of this floating healthbar is way too out of place with the rest of the visual designs of the UI, which all have their own set of issues which I won’t be getting into. But suffice to say, the User interface needs a complete overhaul. Many players for this product infact don't even use the default user interface which brings me to my last point, The community. In this product the community is frankly one of the worst communities this genre has to offer. They're rarely helpful towards one another as they're mostly barking at each other throats even within their own factions and they're just downright unhelpful towards new players for the most part. There is a very small minority of players that play this product that are very helpful, but those people are few and far between. Most of your experiences in game will be littered with League of Legends level of interactions. Your honestly better off just avoiding people in this game if you favor being entertained rather the opposite. This is my take on it and I must say I was bored every second that I played it. Your Honestly better off playin FFXIV.

The storylines you can go through are just average at best and just plane dull at worst with only 2 story outliers in the game being good. The choices provided to you in the game while seemingly vast aren't in the end as all of them lead down the same 2 paths, regardless of which dialogue choice you picked. The companions storylines feel like there was a clear bias and favoritism by the developers. Parvati's storyline took up most of the time while Ellie storyline was the shortest and felt the most rushed. Sam had really none once you unlocked them. Combat is just your average fps rpg with some differences here and there. The outdoor areas tend to be too massive for their own good and for a game where you literally have to walk everywhere can lead to some tiresome treking while completely exploring the map with little to no reward for doing so. All Dialogue NPC animations feel rushed as nearly everyone uses the same animation cycles for them, mainly being the "dead face" and "stiff body" ones. I wanted to enjoy this game but after beating it and getting a good+dumb ending along with the secret one too. I just found myself thinking back and seeing as how i never really had fun with the game, i was bored playing through it and everything in the game was just so, bland. There was no enjoyment to be found and once i was finished with the game, i was glad to finally to be finally rid of it. Which if i am feeling like that after beating the game and not thinking about the choices or my ending? then the game has failed to entertain, which at the end of the day is what a video game is suppose to do... entertain you.

Pros: -Interesting world. -Graphics are quite nice. -Voice Acting is pretty good. Cons: -Poorly explained mechanics and systems. -The Level Design is even worse then Dark Souls 2. -Death Mechanic isn't as punishing as the Souls titles. -Combat is still just about Parry'ing and Dodging attacks. -No character customization, you can't even get a haircut. -Very repetitive enemy types, so most enemies will just feel like a copy/paste job. -The default Voice Acting language is Japanese instead of defaulting to the users native language. Just play Nioh instead, you'll find more enjoyment playing that then this.

- Story is very bland. - Combat stupidly simple but very flashy. - Character creation is more limiting then it is in Xenoverse 1. - You fight on the same 5 maps over and over again. - The cutscenes are stiff and poorly animated. - Lip syncing is completely botched. - You are restricted to what your character can fight as. You start off as a brawler and you can only unlock moves with ingame currency that you can earn by completely missions. These moves are mostly just energy based skills or power moves, you cannot transform into a super saiyan nor be a devil fruit user. If you are interested in this game then I'd suggest you just get Xenoverse 2 as you'll have more money for your buck.

If you've seen this corporation's history of game development then you'll know that the game will not "improve" much, if it all and the "beta" phase of the game will last for years to come, So even though this is in 'beta' right now I will still strongly urge you and anyone else to avoid this product as it's just a poor 'reskin' which tries to lie about what genre game it is. The 'servers' can only hold 150 people at most and the islands are just the same 3 islands just flipped/ resized. There is no "quest" system nor is there much "lore" in the game besides "i'm a stranded pirate". You have no goal nor reason to do anything. The only thing which you can do is craft and hunt which is 60% of the gameplay meanwhile the other 40% is you just sailing. That is not an MMO, it's not even close. this 'game' is at the end of the day just a poor Asset Flip **** called "ARK: Survival Evolved" with minimum effort put into the game. Yet, somehow it has more issues than it's counterpart. The game will not become a "pirate adventure mmo" game as advertised. It's only a Survival Game with a Pirate Theme. Don't Buy this product as it's just a Cash Grab. This 'game' was originally planned to be a DLC for ARK but that decision was changed so it'll become it's own 'standalone product' for more cash. The only thing "pirate" about this game is that it's a scam. Plan and simple.

It's repetitive in nature but it's steadily improving as time goes on. The team working on this product are dedicated to making the game better and have been making improvements in a speedy manner. So, I cannot give this a negative review nor can I give this a bad review. The game shows promise but the team needs to work faster. I'll come back next year to write a proper review for it but for now, this is mainly just a "grab loot and sell it for cosmetics" game with heavy emphasis on teamwork.

The game focuses more on story rather then gameplay, the combat system feels abit dated and restrictive, oh and the graphics remind me of 2000's era games. Outside of that, the story and voice acting is top-notch plus the amount of content to do is remarkable. Each 'zone' is unique in both story and scenery, also the community is actually rather tame for mmo standards. The developers of the game take player feedback seriously, unlike some companies, and they take great strides in pleasing the player-base for the game. But the company lacks in knowing what's more important to focus on fixing and they tend to lean heavily in releasing more stuff like mounts, costumes, and dlc's in the cash-shop rather then the opposite. Overall though: If you like a game with rich story and a game that is filled with stuff to do and has pretty vista's, this is for you.

-Everything is locked being a reputation rank, even the main story of the expansion. -The 'new' azerite system is just completely botched. -The new dungeons are just trash mob cities with the mechanics being so lazily designed. -The new gear is just so lazy that you'd swear they put no thought into them. -The reputation rewards are just lazy, re-using the same assets for the blue's meanwhile reusing the same models for most of them on the red's. But clearly showing more care being done on the red's rewards though. -The story centers around the red team, there is no question about it. This whole expansion starts off because of the horde and throughout the whole expansion thus far the horde continue to cause more atrocities and give the alliance more reasons to retaliate. There is no 'grey' in the storyline, horde are clearly evil and the alliance are clearly good. I don't know what the game director meant when they said it would be a grey storyline. - The warfront scenario is soo boring. All you do is grind resources to get siege tanks then kill boss, that's it. You also have to defend yourself from 'attack waves' and retake 'points' by just zerging down more bosses with other players and that's really it. Honestly this would of been a more interesting game mode if they just turned it into a RTS minigame instead. But since they didn't it's just zerg zerg zerg, so boring. If you are a Warcraft fan then I'd suggest you save yourself from this dull expansion and just watch the cutscenes and storylines on yotube, you'd honestly have a more fun time watching then actually playing through this expansion.

The game seemed interesting at first but after sometime playing the game, I found the flaws and prevalent issues with the game. Yet, that's not the reason why I given it the rating which I did. The reason why I've given it such a low rating is simply due to the fact that. Well, I just found the game boring, it's a simple as that. Now as for those who compare this to Banjo and Kazooie. I see where there going but it's just not the same experience nor is it as entertaining as that masterpiece. It's fine if you like it but I just can't find the entertainment in the game. It was just boring to me.
