As a horror fan, this is one of the **** games ever made. Disgusted in every moment. Boring puzzles, stupid gameplay.

Was playing the game with a "meh" attitude. The game crashed for 4 times in 4 hours. Tried to return it to steam but they didn't accept. If you want to burn your money, just fire em, but don't buy this game.

Played at 2021, this game still rocks. I now understand what people were talking about. Didn't like the ME1 tho. Now ME3 and further journey await.

I will say don't buy this game if you don't have an RTX 3080 or higher. A 2009 game with such **** optimization problems...

A definite psychological horror masterpiece. A lot better than the first game, and the thrill doesn't come from cheap jumpscares mostly. The atmosphere is perfect.

I really don't know what to think about it. I messed around the ship quite a time with tension. But couldn't even finish it yet. It is really a running and hiding simulator. If I want to hide from a monster there are way better alternatives like Outlast, Alien-Isolation, etc...

Was a decent horror game with a tense atmosphere. It is more likely a walking simulator with a bunch of jumpscares in a tense environment than a real horror game. I would recommend it to any horror fan as these kind of projects should be supported for further development.

Yesterday, I decided to continue playing my latest save. Went through a lovely side quest and spent 4 hours to complete it. Had great fun in all moments of it. Spent more than 200 hours on just 1 playthrough, including the DLC's. I don't know if any game will give this pleasure again.

Tried to play it in 2021 after reading all these great reviews, but had no fun out of it. Gameplay mechanics are very bad, after each dialogue, the cutscene ends and a new one starts and you feel it which makes the game unrealistic. It should be great at times but not today. People claim the story is great, so you can play it for that maybe. I don't think the money you should pay (%50 discount still after 13 years, WTH!!!) will worth it. My score is this bad because of the price. Otherwise, I wouldn't even post a review.

I can't believe that a 13 YO game made me feel this great. I didn't expect it to be this terrific. After playing the following games with absolute fun, decided to play Glen Schofield's original masterpiece (as they called it). I am not gonna lie, this game is designed to get you terrified and make you shiver on your chair.

Definitely one of the most epic horror games of all. This game is one great example of the story-based, thematic horror genre. Cant wait for the next SOMA game.

In 2020, it still rocks. After playing this game, I decided to play all the Dead Space series. Now I m playing the 3rd game and in spite of the bad reviews of it, I still liked it due to my liking of this very game. Will continue playing the first game later on.

Even today in 2020, it gives quite fun and tension. Still good graphics and a great story to experience in first person view.

Can tell the open-world zombie games started with this game. Thus, it needs to be known and respected.

Played it in 2020, and had a lot of fun yet. The tense moments and the atmosphere gives you a great feeling of the character. Not so hard puzzles and entertaining gameplay. Would advise everyone who loves the platform genre.

Apart from it being a short story, the game gives you a lot of fun in playing it again and again in different difficulties and with new weapons you unlock. Great boss fights, great scenery, and atmosphere. Could be a lot of fun if some places were added that have existed in the original story.

This game feels like one great masterpiece of the survival horror genre and the best RE game of all time. Cant wait for the next remakes CAPCOM is gonna make.

Not because I am a big fan of RE games and the horror genre, I loved all aspects of this game. Lots of tense moments and some great jump scares added made the game one of the absolute best survival horror games of all time. And can say this is the best RE game after the 2 and 3 remakes.

I still want to play this game from time to time. Crashed my pc and my archive to play it in the 2000s. Wish they make a new Phantasmagoria game.

First I thought I couldn't cope with the stress this game brought me. Then I realized that the adrenaline pump was giving me a boost to keep it up and get addicted to it.

Played the game in 2020 after finishing the second game and it was still horrifying and fun! Independent of the graphics, which is not bad at all still, this game gives you a steady adrenaline pump in each second you play. 100/100 for a 2013 game.
