If you loved the trailers you'll love the film. It's - quite literally - a wild ride. Miller's choreography of thrillingly tactile (and, honestly, peerless) action is as **** insane as Immortan Joe and his underlings are unique and bizarre. Other things to admire, relish and praise are the bombastic score and, of course, Charlize Theron's one-armed heroine-badass, Imperator Furiosa. The best blockbuster in - again, yes, literally - ages and an instant classic. Witness it.

Excellent from beginning to end. The play-like dialogues are flawlessly acted, and they stay captivating because of the brilliant writing which intertwines the complex study of an interesting character with relevant observasions on human psychology, ethical conundrums and class differences.

Disney's 'Big Hero 6' is heaps of fun. I simply loved everything about it... And now I definitely know what I'll be dressing up as for next Halloween!

This movie is the funniest damn thing I've seen in years. The performances are hilarious. The first third of the film - which measures up to the Godfather of mockumentaries, 'This is Spinal Tap' - is the best, delivering one long parade of great moments and laughs

J.C. Chandor (whose previous film, 'All Is Lost', I was also impressed by) takes his sweet time here, but the stylish and well-acted film held my attention in a tight grip throughout.

Captivating. Incredibly well-directed, with very strong performances. And it seems churlish to complain that it can't quite measure up to Farhadi's 2011 masterpiece when it's, nevertheless, easily one of the best pictures of the 2013.

The direction and the performances are absolutely amazing. I don't usually go for big acting, but it worked for me in this movie. If there's anything wrong with it it's that, in the end, it perhaps doesn't live up completely to its full potential. But even though that might mean that it misses the mark (and only barely so) of becoming an instant contemporary classic, it's still the best crime thriller in recent memory and one of my favorite films of the year.

Wow. What a sequel - this is how to do a martial arts movie! Uwais' fighting skills are incomparable. I'm apprehensive about some of the violence.. but most of the time it's all in good fun. Evans' film language is confident, and the ante is upped by adding more locations, with many a wild setpiece, and a colorful cast of memorable characters sport machetes, baseball bats, shotguns, uzis, broken bottles and whatnot. The crazy, energetic action is even buttressed by a pretty decent gangster saga.

Stylish with a capital S. Park Chan-wook's film language is fantastic. He's in complete command of the medium. While it truly is a superior achievement in the technical categories, I doubt that this is the type of film which will receive much, if any, attention from the Academy. But it ought to. I liked the performances a lot as well.

I loved, loved, loved this! It made me feel giddy with pleasure from beginning to end. Mindfryingly cool animation, phenomenal pacing and hilarious jokes boost it to somewhere near the top of my respective lists of favorite family films and best animated comedies of all time. I'm sure it will only be even more awesome upon (probably numerous) rewatches. Because: "Everything is ..." NO, I've GOT to stop that.

Delightful and dark. Perfect shots and imperfect, albeit highly memorable, characters. That's the Coens for you. Every frame oozes confidence. And why shouldn't they be confident? I'm pretty sure they can do anything. Except fail, that is. I'm also fairly confident that if anybody else had directed this it would've turned out somewhat mediocre. The brothers' mastery of craft, command of tone, as well as their playfulness - all of it makes up for a plot as meandering as their roaming protagonist.

Effects and creature design give my inner fanboy an urge to climb something and yell, "This is the most awesome thing I've ever seen!" What makes it truly change the summer blockbusters game, though, are the emotions invested by the motion capture tech. Not only do the apes express their feelings convincingly, the script - to a large extent - prioritizes drama and subtext. We are, however, also treated to some killer setpieces (e.g., the tank scene). You, Matt Reeves, can be my wingape any time.

Strong performances. It makes a lot of sense dramatically and compositionally to have Jesse and Celine bickering, reintroducing previous ponderings about soul mates, fate and everlasting love; questioning them. The film culminates in a hotel scene that's rather exhausting to bear witness to. I found Celine intolerable. I guess that she's probably supposed to be and perhaps has her reasons to be. It's rough to see the couple having devolved into exactly the people they once swore never to become.

Sweet and emotional. The type of science fiction that I love: Jonze picks up on trends in our society that we're all subjected to to some extent - then he extrapolates. The near-future he imagines is believable and food for thought, and the way he treats his subjects, love and connection, commendably nuanced. Add award worthy acting, beautiful photography and a score by Arcade Fire and the result is, well, wonderful. This should prove a contemporary classic, and one that I plan to revisit often.

Get **** into a nightmarish but very funny tale of absurdity, bureaucratic insanity and madness based on Dostoyevsky's novel (skyrocketing to the top of my reading list), peppered with a dash of Kafka and a pinch of Ayoade's very own sensibilities. It's even better than 'Submarine', very high praise in my book! Jesse Eisenberg, on double duty, is simultaneously hilarious and believable, and the feel and rhythms of the stylish, bold and sublimely weird movie he's carrying wholly unique.

A brilliantly observed slice of Americana about rites of passage, examining what it means to grow up. As much as I adore 'Before Sunrise', this unique, ambitious work about being a child and becoming an adult might top even that gem. Linklater's auteur traits are authenticity, recognizability and an ability to be moving and resonant in unforced ways. 'Boyhood' triggers our memory, thereby (like madeleine cakes and a portion of ratatouille before it) bending time and space, and makes us reflect.

One HELL of an adventure! I was positively enthralled by every electrifying second of it. My immersion in the intense action scenes made my palms start sweating profusely. Lubezki once again proves that he's the cherry on top of the cream of the crop of cinematographers. I blinked rarely and only reluctantly during his long takes. A masterpiece of staging and technical innovation, 'Gravity' is nothing short of sublime. And, luckily, *plot spoiler* Sandra Bullock only imitates a dog in one scene.
