Just watched this classic action movie for the umpteen time, it never loses its appeal. Funny how the critics at the time were clearly not fans. Still, since when does anyone listen to film critics. For me this had everything, excellent soundtrack, great masculine cast, superb action, great one liners and most impressively of all a superb creature that for once didn't disappoint when revealed. Truly a must watch for action movie fans. I honestly don't think this film has ever been bettered.

Have to say I'm shocked at some of the negative reviews, which seem to be based purely on the fact the hero of this piece is female. Like many folk I'm sick to death of the biased professional critic reviews and seemingly never ending woke agenda. This film however for me doesn't overstep the mark. It really is just a high quality movie, with some great acting and high octane action. I for one loved it.

Visually stunning with a great musical score this is what cinema should be all about. A story as old as time itself (biblical in many ways) the casting was also spot on. The young lead is exceptional as was Rebecca Ferguson as his mother. I would put this up there with the first time I watched Star Wars as a 10 year old. Truly epic, can't wait for the second installment.

Well there can be no sitting on the fence with this film, you are either going to love it or loath it. As you can tell by my rating, I'm in the latter category. I'm a big fan of possesion films, but this one misses the mark for me. The demonic presense comes out of nowhere, is not scary and the possesion is immediate. No interesting build up or backstory to explain why the demonic presence chose to manifest itself or why it chose to possess the person it does. No amount of extreme violence thrown in near the end can make up for a poor story. Even the exorcism is boring and uninspired. There is nothing wrong with the acting but when the script is uninspired, good acting alone can't save a movie. This film quite frankly is complete garbage, with a fittingly bad ending.

This film is brilliant, so over the top it's ridiculous. I consider it a fitting homage to the original series. All the actors play their roles to **** action is just fantastic and pretty much non stop. The story is so so, then again when you're having this much fun, who cares. What a shame they didn't make a sequel or two.

Quite simply this is a fun movie not to be taken too seriously. The action is great, the chemistry between the main characters works. The story is nothing we haven't seen before. The twist at the end wasn't exactly a surprise. Personally I would have preferred a different play on the ending. That said I really enjoyed watching this movie and that's what counts.

Just watched this movie for the third time and I have to say it's still one of my favourite horror movies. The Creeper is genuinely terrifying, the tension is maintained throughout the entirety of the movie and some of the action is breathtaking. The ending is also for once not disappointing. Shame the dire sequels could not match the magic of the original.

Ticked all the boxes that need ticking for me. Lots of action, with some awesome special effects. The villain of the piece was a bit OTT and the storyline is not exactly original. However, it gets extra marks for not pushing any kind of woke agenda. Possibly why some of the critics weren't overly impressed. Then again like most people, I lost confidence in film critics years ago.

Superior underrated thriller. Well scripted acted and I for one liked the ending.

Disjointed, poorly edited, terrible musical score, so so action sequences (once you get the whole everything is happening in reverse or at different points in time the originality soon wears off). Interesting story, love the whole reverse time idea, however having an interesting idea in this instance does not equate to an interesting viewing experience. I cannot believe some people are giving this a 10. Did they not watch Inception. This film pales into insignificance in comparison.

In agreement with many of the previous reviews I have to say this really is a silly movie. The story is so poor and childish, the characters within the story itself are completely uninteresting. After such an impressive debut, Wonder Woman deserved a better more meaty sequel. I don't necessarily agree with some of the feminist agenda accusations aimed at this movie but have to say the ending is complete crap. Still it's better than Captain Marvel, which isn't saying much

Slow in the build up, powerful in the delivery of terror once the action begins. The story is not exactly original and the ending is oh so predictable. However the depiction of what can only be described as hell and the truly grotesque characters depicted and their actions, make this film a must watch for horror fans. Sick and twisted is the only way to describe what unfolds before your eyes.

This film is an absolute blast from start to finish. If you choose to watch a Jason Statham film you pretty much know what to expect. This movie however, delivers the violence and thrills in a non stop manner that leaves you breathless. Definitely my favourite Statham flick.

Simply a wonderful movie, up there with some of the great mafia/gangster movies of all time. What sets this film apart though is the awesome quality of the fights. The final showdown left me breathless. Magnificent!.

In my opinion Vin Diesel's best movie. The dialogue is spot on, with so many great lines. Riddick is super badass and just an awesome character. The supporting characters are interesting, Radha Mitchell plays her role brilliantly. The ending doesn't disappoint and just leaves you hungry for more. Just an all around brilliant sci fi movie.

Notable for the quality of the child actors, this film is certainly an interesting watch. The story (deranged babysitter) is one that's been told countless times before, however the nature of the way Emelie toys with her charges emotions differs from the usual approach. This in my opinion sets it aside from anything that has come before. Some of the scenes are quite disturbing which is exactly what you want to see in a film of this nature. The ending is quite formulaic and leaves you feeling it could and maybe should've been slightly more dramatic.

Definitely a case of the emperor's new clothes, this film isn't as clever as it thinks it is. To be fair though it seems to have convinced a large number of people that it is. The longer it goes on the more the story and more importantly logic starts to unravel. As for the ending, meh just psychobabble.

This film is complete drivel. Painfully slow in the build up, the young child lead is irritating and the story boring. Not getting why so many people found this to be a worthwhile watch.

A very watchable movie, the storyline isn't exactly original, however with David Tennant doing what he does best (playing twisted villains) the whole premise just about works. There are times as always with these types of movie when you have to suspend your disbelief and seriously question some of the characters decisions. However, on the whole it's an entertaining ride.

OK so if you choose to watch this movie, you can only really rate it on how good the acting and violence is. With that in mind this film does exactly what it says on the tin. Acting good, violence really good. Some of the kills are extremely gory which is just what I wanted to see. I can never understand people watching a film knowing before they choose to watch it that it's not their cup of tea. Guaranteed low score and poor review, if you know you are not going to enjoy something why would you choose to do it?. Quite frankly these people are idiots. Forget any kind of feminist message this film is simply a nasty revenge flick and is one of the better ones of its type that I've seen.

I think it was after reading critic reviews, then actually watching this film that I realised you really can't trust film critics anymore. I'm not sure what exactly their agenda is, however I'm pretty sure it's no longer about being honest. As this film really is extremely poor in every way. Dull characters, terrible script, poor storyline and absolutely no humour. Simply awful.

An awful mess of a film with a terrible storyline, terrible camera work and terrible acting. This film is pointless in every conceivable way. Not sure how it has any, yet alone so many positive viewer reviews.

Poop! With a really s****y ending. Shame to see John Cusak have to stoop so low as to make this film. As for Samuel L, he must be one of the busiest actors in Hollywood as the guy seems to have been in more movies (good and bad) than I've had hot dinners.

OK lets not beat around the bush here. There is something very suspicious about the high ratings from the public for this movie. I'm in agreement with the critics this film is vacuous and instantly forgettable. I mean seriously if it was as good as the viewer ratings suggest why has the director not made any movies since?. I'm guessing he got all his friends to write positive reviews.

I think the phrase emotional rollercoaster was created to describe this movie. The amount of melodrama packed in is quite frankly exhausting. You definitely need to be in touch with your emotions or maybe female to get the most out of this film. However it does highlight two things. The acting ability of the cast and the fact that Natalie Portman is one of the most beautiful women to have ever walked this plant.

This film is torture to watch. The characters are so one dimensional and irritating that I could have gladly killed half of them. The script is lame Jennifer Anniston is awful and looks as though she was bored throughout the movie. Considering the strength of the cast I was hoping for a lot more.

It works, it's not the best romcom I've ever seen but it's by no means the worst. It ticks all the boxes, however some of the dialogue is close to vomit inducing.

Seen worse, seen better, either way it kept me entertained for an hour or so. The acting was very good for this sort of movie which is why I've given it such a positive score. Quite liked the twist as well.

Gal Gadot simply sparkles as Wonder Woman, so much so it's almost as if she were born to play this role. The story is interesting and well thought out and the chemistry between the 2 main characters works really well. I really enjoyed every aspect of this movie and have to say I'm struggling to undersatnd some of the negative anti femanist comments. I guess some people are just intimidated by strong independent women.

In agreement with the majority of reviews, this film is simply awful. Brie Larson looks so incredibly bored playing Carol Danvers it's almost as if she was being forced to do so against her will. The feminist narrative was so heavy handed it felt like you were being smashed in the face with a sledgehammer. I spent the last 20 minutes looking at memes on my phone, as I'd completely lost interest.

This movie is great fun, some of the GCI is a bit naff but that can be forgiven. The tension builds nicely and at times puts you on the edge of your seat. The quality of some of the kills are deliciously satisfying. All in all a well acted creature feature which delivers exactly what I expected.

Lots of negative reviews from embittered Bangladeshis. Which you can understand, however for those of us who are just judging this film on the oh so familiar storyline or quality of the action. This film is actually very good. For the record I don't think the average movie goer is judging the people of a country or the country itself on the basis of it's depiction in an action movie. Well at least not me.

Why was this film so disliked by the critics?. Could it be because rather than trying to lecture us on morality, or push some kind of socio economic or green agenda it just concentrated on good old fashioned fun. This is definitely the feel good movie of the year so far. Adults and children will enjoy in equal measure.

Such a brilliant film, perfect pacing, excellent storyline, superb acting especially from the lead Elisabeth Moss. I can't recommend this film highly enough. Definitely the best film I've watched in a long while. Even the ending for me didn't disappoint.

This movie is a seriously tedious watch. The 2 lead characters are bland and unconvincing as a father, daughter combo. The dialogue is far too preachy, the opening scene sets the tone and is excrutiating to watch. If you make it through this and decide to stick with it in the hope that something interesting will eventually happen, I'm afraid like me you'll be bitterley disappointed.

Magnificently absurd, a film that will definitely divide opinion. Low marks guaranteed from reviewers who take themselves and life in general too seriously. Then again these are exactly the type of people this movie is parodying. Which is why it works so well.
