Death is much too punishing because the save points are too far away. One tiny little mistake means you lose 5+ minutes of meticulous progress. Now repeat these difficult 5+ minutes over and over and over until you somehow find the next save point which are rare. It's trying too hard to be Dark Souls and it fails miserably.

I really, really wanted to like this game but the stumbly controls are very dizzying and make me motion-sick. Is the protagonist drunk? Why can't I turn this off?

Ultimately, you click on a random notebook and it fades to black with a short voiceover and the game is over before anything ever happened... yet IGN gave this a 9.5 probably because it's WOKE!
