When climbing a mountain which is the main goal of the game, you should’ve make the mountain visually appealing instead of the butt ugly terrain that it is. And the Climbing mechanic of using left and right triggers can easily be spammed, which makes most of the gameplay mindlessly repetitive. Once again across the whole gaming industry, we see frauds ignoring the faults and grossly exaggerating the minor positives.

Pikmin 4 has probably the best over-world design in the series, but serious mistakes have been made. - It’s way Too easy. - The few Boses are embarrassingly 1 note, bad AI & a pushover. - Nighttime mode is a pointless add-on. - Caves design is worse than the over world. - Music is either copied or worse than the previous Pikmin games. - Full Item & command wheels is desperately needed. Instead of the unresponsive awkwardness Nintendo have implemented. - Most seriously, Like all of Nintendo’s games the AI is a simplistic joke. But you won’t ever hear Nintendo cultist complaining about that fact…..proving their cultism. I want better games. Cultism want worse games. And so many more issues. Nintendo still hasn’t made an overall good Pikmin game. That it takes over potentially over 5 Pikmin games to finally get the basics right across the board is a joke. I also blame N cultists for this situation. Still, the basic formula of a Simple tactical & task driven game, still has moderate pleasure to its fundamentals.

The new single player levels have some decent levels, but there's also a ton of horrible levels that are grossly unfair. I can't believe unbreakable gold block are still in so frequent in Arkanoid. It's a horrendous idea which is the worst version of "Tension". To make matters worse, the speed of the ball becomes uncontrollable after 20-30 seconds into each level which is unbelievably cheap garbage. And when you add in floating enemies that hang around you at the bottom to redirect the ball so you can't react, it’s infuriating. This game is full of horrendously cheap BS just to extend the play time. The New Eternal Battle which is just vs other people, & when I played it, there was only 2 actual humans out of 25, with the rest made up of Al. That’s how badly this game has flopped. When you change position on the leaderboard in eternal battle, the semi transparent levels you’re opponents are playing, flashes across your screen in a pathetic attempt to create a distraction, which is an even more cheap **** way to do tension. Embarrassing. I waited for this game to drop from $45 to $4.50 and I still want my money back. I want a good new Arkanoid, but nobody wants this unfair trash. Shameful

For all the improvement’s cellar door has made to polish, platforming and more diverse enemies…, the inescapable fact is that combat is still boring due to the 1 note brain-dead moronic enemies that dominate this game. And when they add in out of balance, hard, mid-level enemies, they just spam attacks in an unfair way because that’s the “tension”…. That actually demonstrates lack of combat design more than anything else. The fundamentals of combat are still boring. That’s the core gameplay. That part is boring & archaic. Not much different from Ghouls n Ghosts 1000’s of years ago. Still I really appreciate all the player friendly options like choosing enemy health, turning off enemy contact damage, stopping level randomisation….

This is not for casual players in the slightest. You’re immediately forced to learn to try to learn how to drift - which is un-usual with its 2 stick use, the ship itself doesn’t look like it’s drifting at all, & drifting itself is unsatisfying. You’re Also forced to use pitch which is essential to use on ALL ramps & dips….. it makes the game crazy difficult & exclusively for the hard-core. You can turn on assists later on, but that just cheapens the game to such a degree that it’s not worth it. This is Worse than F-Zero GX & Wipeout’s which are decades old games. If fast speed is the attribute you’re most excited about which this game has, then gameplay isn’t that important to you, & that’s a huge problem.

For perspective, I have put in nearly 5000 hours into Dual Strike, and I still play it to this day. This Re-boot release is really bad, and made the worse by the fact that this game was held for no good reason for one year, and virtually nothing was done to improve all the problems. I played the 1st campaign and it **** hard. - The maps are visually ugly. - The units are butt ugly, and it’s really hard to tell the difference between similar units which is a huge mistake for readability. That you have to keep pressing R-Trigger to check your own units & the enemies units to see which is which is a massive fail. - Units on similar coloured bases, cities…. Makes it hard to tell which unit is on those bases….. I mean come on this is total amateur hour. - The campaign is full of Fog of war maps, which is the worst way to play advance wars. - encounters are structured in a more linear way, which makes encounters less dynamic and more predetermined, which is a horrible way to play tactics games. - AI is grotesquely idiotic like it is in all of Nintendo’s games, and you know that cultists will deliberately never realise that fact or ever admit to that fact. - Not a big deal; but the writing, dialogue and story is a complete infantile joke. Some positives are that you still get some of the classic advance wars gameplay, which on a basic level is still good. - Art of Main menu, Character special moves, & some music is improved upon. That this was held onto for one whole year with nothing important improved is outrageous. 3/10

Game is mostly Polished & tight, But its sadly missing any soul or magic from the original Resi 4. There are countless great set pieces that are balanced to perfection in the original, but when replicated in the remake, most of those set pieces don't even come close. Set pieces were crucial to strength of Resi 4, and when the 1st Village encounter was far worse here in the Remake, I was deeply worried. Just the basic combat encounter design alone is no way near as strong as the original. It's take skill, vision, balancing & tuning to make fun shooter combat, but Capcom has often failed in that regard. You also get enemies who appear & grab you from behind with no indication, frequent generic combat, and some bosses that will exploit that the player doesn't have an always availble dodge move. The Music is far worse, and most of the new characters are bad ( except for the Merchant who is still good.) There's long periods of down time just traversing, which shows problems with pacing. This game is about 10 hours longer than the original, and they filled that extended length with padding, bad puzzles, long boring traversal and general filler. I played Resi 4 - 3 times just 2 months ago to prepare and be able to make a comparison. I'm now half way though my 2nd playthrough of the Remake and I'm sort of bored allready. Score is a 4, but I’m giving it a 0 - as a tactical counter to the lying cultists who give this unworthy game anything above an 7.

Metroid Prime was one of favourite games of all time, mostly due to the amazing music, superb visuals & art, and top tier polish. And while this remaster does a mostly good job of sprucing up the graphics, making this game the best looking game on the switch……Metroid Prime combat is still average, bosses mediocre & puzzles passable, it’s has idiotic/simplistic enemy AI - like with all of Nintendo’s games, and obscene amount of backtracking. All of this makes Metroid Prime gameplay simply alright, at best. This remaster makes dual stick control finally viable, but sets up a host of other disastrous control schemes make the overall controls an overly complicated failure. 1. Jump button is different from the Morph ball jump button. 2. Super missile needs 2 button presses instead of just holding down the Missile button, which is crazy. 3. There’s zero full button mapping available. 4. Changing Visors/weapons harder than it should be. 5. Changing thermal or X-ray visor needs an extra button press every time you want to go back to normal vision. 6. There’s no weapon wheel or visor wheel as an option. 7. There’s still very long delay between changing any weapons or visors, which feels horribly out of date……and much more. I bought this day one, and will by the physical version again as soon as it comes out. But don’t let the cultists convince anyone honest that this game is anywhere near an 8/10. It’s a 6/10 for modern gaming standards.

Completely boring brain dead for adults “puzzle” game, and a game that ISN’T really a puzzle game because minor exploration is all you need to do to clear every “puzzle” level. And a fraction more exploration is all you need to gather the 3 diamond optional requirements. There’s virtually no intelligence of thought required if you’re above 8 years old to finish this game. So that disqualifies it as a though-necessary “puzzle” game. Nintendo cultists once again overhyping Nintendo games, thus insuring we keep getting this mediocrity.

Added to the insanity is that the “campaign” has a arbitrary timer which is never enough, and that too will end your game, needing to start over. Once again we have awful indie devs hiding a lack of content - behind grotesquely pushing repetition system; like running out of money, overly hard difficulty, unfairly punishing restart from the beginning of the game/level death models, unfair timers.....with awfully basic and repetitive procedurally generated levels....just so foolish gamers can bang their heads against a wall till they clue in it was never worth it. Good original 2D single screen puzzle game that quickly runs out of ideas, and barely evolves upon puzzle types which makes it feel very repetitive. Pros: Are it’s iriginality and novelty. Cutting your friend is funny for a while. solving puzzles with your imagination are great. Sadly that doesn’t happen that often. Cons: Too repetitive with new ideas hardly evolved. Outline cutout puzzles are barely puzzles and quite boring. Egg shell puzzle/traversal is annoying from the 1st one you do. Cog puzzles are easily readable early and a chore to execute. Single player has A little amount of enjoyment but it’s preferable with 2-4 players 5/10.

My review… of No man sky, well really, the games media defence force. 2/10 I am sick to death of insecure games media fanbots, post NMS launch, telling us their offensive judgments on how NMS critics don't have enough imaginations, or they expected too much, or wanted perfection, or they wanted more then whats possible....offending unsatisfied gamers by treating them as unreasonable, having impossible expectations, or are just naive. Blaming gamers instead of the game. The NMS defence force has been in overdrive telling every one how wrong they are. Employing counter-criticism pieces as a desperate act to publicly react against strong criticism of No Man's Sky, treating its critics as unreasonable and unreliable. They are Making comments acknowledging the games problems, but are coming off as an insincere. Making an obligation of acknowledging NMS problems, but making that point merely in passing, hoping to not return. And then go straight into slamming its critics as unreasonable. There has been a growing divide between media reviewers and gamers unsatisfied with a lot of games , and No Man's Sky has really brought it to ahead. The counter-criticism by the media has strongly demonstrated this divide more than ever before. Smug, entitled, insider, know nothing know it all's, telling everyone how wrong they are, deliberately antagonising and widening that gap. I am directly asking those judgementalists, what were MY expectations for NMS, what is the limit of my imagination, and how that effected my NMS experience ? Can't do it, of course you can't. No one Can. So those positions are ridiculous arguments. And they are offensive.

What a staggering disappointment. First off: The controls of Geralt is an abomination. Everyone do this test; Watch how in his first two steps after you first push on the controller, they are really slow steps, and then he moves into stride - It's terrible. What precision and control is possible with that ? Then this test: run straight and then immediately push directly left or right on your gamepad - after that turn, Geralt stops slowly, turns like a slow moving robot, and then moves again. It's insane. The basis of the main characters movement has gigantic flaws that makes this game unplayable. Not only that but all his movement is sugglish and non-resonsive, and when the combat is difficulty already, it makes the gameplay in the Witcher 3 an exercise in endless frustration. And it was built this way. AMAZING. The players animation when on rocks, against trees, sliding down a hill etc, is all terrible. The physical connection of Geralt to this nice looking world when exploring, is awful. If they fixed the controls, the combat would still be really boring. None of the early enemies showed much intelligence or proved an interesting or visceral fight. Hit by weapon animation when you hit the enemies leaves no strong impact, and the AI behaviour in combat very soon into the game feels very repetitive. Sure you have some strategy with the Signs, but it's still in a dull combat system against plain enemies. The positive: is that some of the writing is vastly improved from the Witcher 2, and even most games. But you have to spend such a long time traversing what is a pretty nice designed world, but that setting quality is still not high enough on it's own and for all that imposed length extending traversal imperative, or as compensation for the really poor controls and gameplay.

Staggering let down. Claims that the combat is good in Destiny is Ludicrous. Imagine shooting thoughtless enemies in no way near the level of Elites from Halo, enemies that have poor hit by weapon feedback and they show near zero personality that the Covenant had done decently well. It's got very similar weapons overall, and the new weapon loot which is doled out at a snails pace, that only improve your stats in small increments, and for a loot game, that is a disaster. Those bosses again. OMG x 1000. Some of the worst boss battles in gaming that actually made Uncharted final bosses look good. YES DESTINY IS REALLY THAT BAD. Destiny's Early bosses - if the player shoots from a mid distance, simply slowly strafe side to side exclusively, exactly as though they are tied to invisible train tracks!! It's truly absurd. Sure the game has been balance pretty well. But that just shows you ( because balancing take multiple repetative increments over a long time to get right ) for how long Bungie knew about how underdeveloped Destiny really is. They knew exactly the boring turd that was released into the wild. There is virtually no mission variety, and you add in a no story, massive repetition of boring, way worse than Halos " 30 seconds of fun" combat engagement... or should I say ' en-rage-ment, and you've got a modern day x-file of why countless people like this game.

If PacMan was released a year ago as thought yesterday was sometime in the 1970's, this game would be passable. But It wasn't. It's decades later and this game exists as though the trudgery of memorising set patterns for maximum reward points of an extremely basic mechanics PacMan-like game, is acceptable. It's not acceptable. Games like this... decades after PacMac, desperately need some fake tension and the timer proves Pix the Cat's crutch-ness to hide how little play this game has. Once again for games like this, fake tension, and also with a score chase incentive ( for those who like setting up a numbers improvement challenge ), betrays how outdated, archaic and crutch dependant these basic indie games really are. PS option1live, sums things up really well. Do you write somewhere on a blog, website Option ?
