Redout 2 is a beautiful-looking, anti-gravity racing game that has you driving at ridiculously fast speeds. This difficulty level is pretty high, but if you are willing to practise and hone your skills you will definitely be rewarded.

A love letters to antigrav fans everywhere. I miss the option of sending a missile to the rear end of other ships, but the driving is pure poetry.

Redout 2 appeals to the fans of arcade racing games with a twist on precision racing and high speeds. It has great gameplay followed by impressive visuals and music, but the learning curve is a bit steep.

Redout 2 is a spectacle that will have players on the edge of their seat. Just be warned; one will need to cut their teeth with its difficulty curve – one best bring their A game.

Redout 2 is designed for hardcore gamers, who will be able to reach satisfactions thanks to the improvement of physics and the implementation of a control system which, despite being complex, allow to master all the necessary movements. The offer is much richer and has tangible visual improvements, even if some aspects deserve to be refined. All the newbies are warned: Redout 2 is difficult and far from accessible.

Brimming with so many highs, but also plenty of regrettable lows, Redout 2 is fast, frantic and fantastic at points, but frustratingly flawed enough to warrant caution in its current state.

While Redout 2 is a fun experience for the single player, it definitely lacks in a lot of areas and can become overwhelming to a lot of players for a myriad of reasons. The game's AI is also very incompetently designed with incredibly slingshot-like rubberbanding that makes competitors look like absolute klutzes when you're falling behind them or like they have hyperspeed devices on the slightest advantage. Everything is locked behind stages while most of the unlockables are just cosmetics rather than any substantial upgrades.

Redout 2 is not a bad game, but it feels like the developers did not learn from the first Redout. Many of the worst parts of the original Redout's design seem to have only been made worse in this sequel, while nothing has been improved. While it's still a fundamentally alright game, it's worth saying that it is disappointing, and I would therefore recommend the original Redout over this sequel.

At the beginning the game is interesting, it has unusual controls, futuristic maps and a brilliant soundtrack, but after a while you don't want to play. You just have the feeling of driving around several maps in circles.

Lack of speed, control changes, and disconnected music destroyed what was almost perfect in the first game. The sensation of speed that was so good before was replaced by limitations on speed, a 'booster' that slows you down before accelerating you, trying to create an 'illusion' of speed that doesn’t fool anyone. It makes you feel like something is holding you back from going as fast as you should. This kills the best experience of this type of game: the velocity. The changes in the controls were so unnecessary that they just cause frustration instead of joy. Finally, the music that used to keep you hypped at the beginning of the race, transitioning in the middle to give you resilience to resist until the end, is now replaced with something playing in the background that is annoyingly drowned out by warning sounds and boosters over and over again that cuts the connection between what you’re doing on the screen and the music. I really miss that feeling of speed that it used to have, when my ship was shaking so much that it seemed like it was going to fall apart any time, when I used a booster while passing over a speed booster blurring everything into strings of light bcause of extreme high speed, listen to a music almost perfectly synchronized with the sound of the motor and the wind's buzzing, the muffled sound when we are in the air, bringing a feeling of uncertainty until we touch the ground again. You managed to hit a wonderful balance between gameplay and game objectives in that spectacular game and then threw it all away in an attempt to do 'more and better' in a sequel. I hope you go back in the next game and bring back that unique pleasure that the first game used bring.

Very bad conoared to redout 1. Longer and tighter tracks with nothing to remember, boring generic edm music, ships are all stiffer, carrer progress is very bad, since you start with specific vehicle and you unlock at specific career races other crafts, extremely difficult for no reason, no upgrades as on 1, no magnetic stabilizer, no slipstream emhancer, the main mechanic of the game is double bust until you overheat, very bad..
