Hated it as an adult without kids, but it's one of my favorites now with the split screen option and endless customization. The developers do a great job of keeping things fresh, and the custom games are endless.People hate it just because kids like it and / or they get frustrated with builders.
Hands down my favorite game since it's been out, although Overwatch held that honor for years to give you an idea. My only complaints are lack of maps, bad rewards for playing without paying, & lack of tanks/healers vs the DPS/ duelists.
Even though there is limited gameplay mechanics, I couldn't recommend this enough for horror fans. Easy to finish in 1 night, but the ending was so intense & I had to work the next morning so I streamed it. The creature in the recurring chase scenes is terrifying, and the 1st person mode captures the intensity. *Spoiler* The suicide scenes were wild! I was sure the game was over within 45 minutes
I beat this last year so I don't recall much besides being frustrated and hating the emphasis on the clunky stealth mechanics. Enjoyed learning about the civilizations tho
Fantastic story & I loved the time period, but the world doesn't seem real & interactive like in GTA. Shooting isn't the best, but I still enjoyed myself.
Graphics are amazing with cool **** combat is only fun for 2-4 characters (one of whom you only get to play at the very end). I never played the original game, but between this and the prior FF7 on PS5, I am burned out on it. It took me nearly a year to finish (as a dad who only plays on the Portal), & at the end I just put it on easy mode so I could be done.
Great story and voice acting, but poor combat ruined would have been fantastic.Graphics were very good, and I enjoyed the different locations (odd that the beginning was the worst).
About as generic as you could make an action RPG, except without the fun of such a basic feature like leveling up. I kind of enjoyed it for the arks (bosses you kill to get magic upgrades), but that's about it. Boring story with even more boring enemies that get annoying and over aggressive. Combat is clunky, and I much preferred using the ability to throw enemies off the map rather than get a bonus chance of getting weapons on their death.
Like others said - incomplete & rushed. The fighting system was a blast, but I wish there were more spells / techniques & opportunities to summon. They did a horrible job with tutorials, & pretty much expected you to sit at the camp sights and learn for yourself. My friend & I each discovered several key gameplay elements 50+ hours in. The story made absolutely no sense til the very end...I had to push myself to care to finish it. Creature designs were great, & I loved the sense of scale in battle, but there seemed to be only a handful of them All the negative posts aside, I had a genuinely fun time playing it, & I hope they build on this for the next entry
Some of the most intense single player battles I can ever remember. Couldn't ask for much more, aside from more bosses & less confusing level designs. DIdn't try multiplayer, but graphics & controls were spot on
