One of the best lotr games ever, for me it's at the very top together with bfme 1 and 2. However, the Return of the King pc game is not as good compared but only 7-8/10 for me.
I love this game and have played through it 3-4 times already. It's the latest and also best Yu-Gi-Oh DS game, probably even all time across all consoles. I like that the graphics of the card images have been improved (in contrast to 2010 Reverse of Arcadia) so that you can see them now well. Extremely good story (one of my all time favorites), gameplay, music, basically everything. I also like the enhanced customization options that you have more face expression options now and also your duel dialogue, attire, skin, hair and duel music. It's just 10/10. Best DS games: GX Spirit Caller 2007, GX World Championship 2008, 5D's World Championship 2010, 5D's World Championship 2011 (best overall)
Surprisingly, it's a pretty good game that imo actually isn't inferior to its predecessor expansions. 1.) The campaign is rather difficult even on normal against Chaos and Imperial Guard, whereas other factions are easier to beat. I only managed to win against them by saving their fights til the end, where I had maximized Wargear, Honor Guard, Spoils of War. 2.) I was using the latest game version 1.3 of Steam but still had a persistent crash "Failed to create dump file:" (error 183)" after Chaos stronghold, Sisters of Battle stronghold, Imperial Guard stronghold and Jalaganda Lowlands, for which one just has to lower the graphics settings shortly before to prevent it or install the Soulstorm Bugfix Mod. 3.) The 2 new factions Dark Eldar and Sisters of Battle are well done, but they're the weakest of the 9 races in tier 4 late/end game, but still Dark Eldar have the 4th highest win rate and Sisters of Battle are still a bit better than Space Marines. 4.) The newly introduced air combat is not perfect imo, as some air units are only situationally useful, like Attack Scarabs purely versus other aircraft. 5.) I'm glad this expansion was made, it's the most balanced and offers a whole 2 new factions, has a great novel intro whereas Winter Assault simply reused the intro from the base game, plus there's the Unification Mod (contains Tyranid, Ultimate Apocalypse, Crucible, etc.), the Dow Stats Balance Mod still needs a lot of improvements and also the ability to easily play PvP. As graphics mods I'd recommend these: redux mod or graphics mod 3 ybivakaor or qbebab graphic mod. 6.) After you can beat each race on ai difficulty insane, you can start multiplayer: I'd then definitely get Dow Stats Client for optional gridkeys, remove fog, camera mod (or from Soulstorm Discord).
Race tier list based on winrate in high rated games: 1.) Eldar: 55.7%, 2.) Necrons: 51.7%, 3.) Chaos: 51.5%, 4.) Dark Eldar: 50.7%, 5.) Orks: 49.6%; 6.) Imperial Guard: 47.3%, 7.) Tau Empire: 47.1%, 8.) Sisters of Battle: 45.7%, 9.) Space Marines: 45.6%
Great game, I think it's very very impressive for a GBA game. For me it's one of the best masterpieces for GBA of all time. Cloud card is generally pretty strong, but there're other card combinations that're situationally even better/faster. The final boss Marluxia can only take damage during certain phases like when you're on his back.
The newly introduced characters are quite impressive and inspiring, in contrast to Sora who seems often rather selfish. Ventus and secondary Aqua are both easier to play/stronger than Terra especially against Mysterious Figure (Young Xehanort) boss fight.
This game introduced me to the KH series and it has an incredibly beautiful/inspiring story, I am very grateful that I was able to play this game. I was particularly impressed by the ending, Roxas vs Riku cinematic had amazing animation/graphic for a DS game, so good that you almost can't believe it.
It is the best bfme game because it has more units, spellbook powers, heroes, hero abilities, factions than bfme 1 and 2. Also, the graphics are very good, especially for a 2006 game.
One of my favorite DS games, it's really great to be able to fight with all 4 elements and have lots of cool special abilities. I also enjoyed all the quests and the minigames.
I played through the entire story but without the both DLC expansions (Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine) and I have to say, I think the game is extremely overrated. The story/lore/worldbuilding/graphics are the only good points, but for that you can also just watch a cutscene compilation on YouTube without playing the game. What I absolutely didn't like was that many decision are not clearly morally according to subsequent narration such as whether one should save the children from the witches or not, although it's actually clear: The evil baron kills himself which was his own decision and for me also pretty unexpected/unrealistic, cause his wife, who groomed children for witches, died even though the curse was lifted, so from my pov it's as redemption for her sins. Or that you have the option to spare **** Junior, which in turn suggests Geralt's bad character. I think Geralt has a rather bad character he often doesn't have much empathy (except for triss, jennefer and ciri), is arrogant, bossy, selfish and nymphomanic, not exactly the best influence or role model in my opinion. The game mechanics are completely underdeveloped and the combat system is incredibly bad, I can't really stand the game.
I love this game, I played through it ~5 times with Shanoa and ~3 times with Albus. I particularly like the character of Albus and his relationship with Shanoa, which deeply impressed and influenced me. The other DS Castlevania games are also great by the way.
This game is trash compared to Dissidia 012, I feel nothing except pain and disgust. Somehow all dialogue, plot, gameplay, facial and body expressions are ruined when you compare it to the PSP game which I played several hundred hours and is a 11/10 masterpiece.
One of my all time favorite games, it's a must have for PSP and I had a great time playing it. It's one of few games that actually had profound effect on me personally and gave me direction/role models/values. It has outstanding story cutscenes and characters like e.g. Cissnei, Sephiroth, Zack, Angeal, Genesis, Aerith. The summons and limit breaks are just insanely well made and I watched them in admiration hundreds of times. The combat system seemed simplistic at first, but it has depth with Materia Fusion and stats like HP, MP, AP, SP, ATK, VIT, MAG, SPR, LCK. But it's difficult to get the Genji Shield, when you don't know how. The Crisis Core Reunion remake is comparatively absolute garbage from what I've seen (playthrough and cutscenes), unfortunately better graphics are not always better at conveying or creating emotions by facial expressions and gesturing, it ruins all of my favorite characters, I don't find them inspiring/admirable/impressive any more instead I don't feel anything.
One of my all time favorite games, it is a must have for DS and I had a great time playing it. At first I thought that because of the turn-based gameplay it wouldn't be as good as real-time games like e.g. aoe2, dawn of war 1&2, rotwk. But it's one of the best DS games I've ever played. The individual factions are very well thought out and the graphics are stunningly good. I also really liked the music, sound effects, story, characters and ambience. If you chose the right minor gods you could create almost overpowered units through researches/bonuses, it's a very innovative idea. It's just a 10/10 definitely.
