This is pretty bad to be honest. Poor graphics, levels all look similar, pay to win, poorly thought out controls. I love the idea of the Warframes but I'm not paying. They'd have been better off just selling this and removing the in game purchases.

Resogun essential tries to be a retro throwback whilst making the most of PS4 capabilities for particle effects and such. Impressive initially, perhaps designed to show off to your friends. Graphics are as good as they can be for a side scrolling space shooter. Music is what you would expect, not really anything unique there. The action, pace, skill involved in the game is good and provides a challenge but this is to be expected by default in my opinion. They do however mix it up a little with extra gameplay elements like rescuing tiny green humans it just adds something else to do and break up the action which is good. I can't really see any replay value beyond beating other peoples scores, this is kind of archaic in my opinion. As a quick, fun game to play occasionally and nail some high scores Resogun works very well. In all fairness I don't think it tries to be anything more than that.

Really good ideas in places, but seems rushed overall. I love the graphical/artistic style in this game atmospheric film noir inspired 1920's. Perhaps not so unique these days but certainly works. The idea of phasing in and out of shadows is a nice idea and provides some interesting puzzles but doesn't really go beyond that, couldn't they have done more with it? Exploring the little world is nice at first but is just limited in scope this extends to the story line. Special note however to the fantastic music, really adds to the atmosphere. Unfortunately the game really lacks depth, that's why I tend to think it was rushed. In addition to this everything seems to be on rails and very linear. The only thing breaking that up is the series of puzzles this simply isn't enough. Story line is somewhat decent/compelling but very predictable.

When the game loaded up and I saw the EA symbol I thought the worst. I wasn't wrong. Average graphics but lack colour and seem muted. Poor sound effects, sounds cheap and tin-can like even on very good speakers/headphones. Couldn't play Multiplayer as it was locked by a code (I rented the game), so I couldn't even try 75% of the game. If I can't try I won't buy. One lost customer.

Chaos, pace, hectic crazy gameplay. Exactly how shooters used to be before this tactical rubbish. Brilliant game. Obviously it offers the extreme other end of the spectrum to Battlefield 3. It needs some different maps thats for sure and some minor balance issues sorting but its good as it is.
