This is, and always will be, the best Resident Evil game. No, scrap that; the best horror game ever made. RE4 features a mix of legendary combat and puzzle-solving, and no matter how many times you replay, it will never get old. Believe me, I've tried. 5/5 stars.
While Remedy introduces a new, innovative mechanic of using light as your weapon, the game gets repetitive after a while. However, it does have some redeeming qualities, like its compelling story and action-packed combat. 4/5 stars.
It is no doubt that this game is Remedy's finest piece of work. If you thought Max Payne 1 was great, you haven't seen anything yet. As well as improved bullet time and controls, the game hosts an outstanding story that explores complex themes of romance, crime and revenge. The graphics were outstanding for the time, and while being shorter than the first game, it is truly a masterpiece. 5/5 stars.
One of, if not, the worst Bond game I've played. It's obvious to see what they were going for here; a Rainbow Six-style game based on the movies Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale, but it fails miserably. The entire game is just plain unenjoyable and doesn't even follow the story of the films correctly. 2/5 stars.
A great expansion to Uncharted 4, but that's all it should be recognized as; an expansion. This game is by far the shortest in the series, but not the worst in terms of general gameplay. You will enjoy playing it, but sadly it just ends too quick. 4/5 stars.
A major step up from the first game in terms of everything. This installment includes more diversity in action, a greater story, but more importantly, the introduction of stealth mechanics and multiplayer. A must-have for every PS3 owner. 4/5 stars.
Uncharted is one of the best adventure franchises ever created, however the first entry did not age well, as the gameplay is very repetitive, and the story is not exactly gripping, compared to Nathan's other adventures. Worth playing if you're a fan, but don't be disappointed if you find it to not be as good as the others, like I did. 3/5 stars.
The perfect prequel to a great game. The storytelling and cyberpunk RPG gameplay are unmatched, even to this day. Dare I say better than the first? I do. 5/5 stars.
Easily the best adventure game ever made. Stunning visuals, heavily improved stealth mechanics, and the greatest story of the franchise. Naughty Dog just raised the bar to another whole expectation of stealth-adventure. 5/5 stars.
Imagine Goldeneye, but James Bond was a WW2 veteran. 20 unforgivingly breathtaking missions of kicking German ass awaits in one of the best WW2 games ever made. The only letdown was the absence of multiplayer. 5/5 stars.
This is the game that ultimately saved the Prince Of Persia franchise, as Arabian Nights/PoP 3D gave the series a bad name. Luckily, Ubisoft picked it up from the gutter and made an absolute masterpiece of it. You want adventure? PoP: The Sands Of Time. You want fighting? PoP: The Sands Of Time. You love puzzles? PoP: The Sands Of Time. 5/5 stars.
The best stealth game I have ever played. It offers the player to be fully immersed in their mission with various gadgets and moves to effectively complete the challenging objectives. Splinter Cell and Prince Of Persia were Ubisoft at their absolute best. 5/5 stars.
This Sci-Fi FPS is a must-play for fans of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. As well as the enjoyable story mode, it also hosts one of the best multiplayer experiences on the PS2, with a large variety of maps, game modes and of course, characters to choose from. 4/5 stars.
This game is the absolute definition of freedom. Wanna jump from car roof to car roof? You can! Wanna parachute across the map? You can! Wanna piss off both the cartel and the police at the same time and start a Mexican standoff? Of course you can! There is a huge variety of both main and side missions to play, so all fans of GTA should give this game a try. 4/5 stars.
A great game to pass the time, if you like strategy and satire, but doesn't have much replayablility compared to other games at the time, like Road Rash and Tomb Raider. Still a classic, though. 3/5 stars.
This game could have been much, much better. Every chapter felt the same, like Assassin's Creed, but worse. If you buy this game, you will likely stop having fun after less than one hour, due to the game's short "story". If you're a GTA fan, and are looking for similiar games, try Mafia or Just Cause, but never this. Ever. 1/5 stars.
From start to finish, the game will never leave you bored, with hordes of challenging enemies, bosses and special attacks to master. Devil May Cry is the best action series I have ever played. Definately would recommend to every gamer. 5/5 stars.
It feels like a playable 5-star action movie. The idea alone of Bullet Time paved the way for many games that copied the same mechanic, but failed miserably because there can only be one Max Payne. However, the controls and repetitive gameplay are letdowns compared to the sequels. "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." 4/5 stars.
An underrated classic for fans of Indiana Jones. The game has almost no problems, except for the inaccurate shooting mechanics. The combat system is great, with players having the choice of many iconic weapons such as Indy's revolver, machetes, explosives, and of course, the whip. The Collective managed to perfectly capture the charm of the films. 4/5 stars.
A fun arcade-style racing game for the PS1. It has it's comic-style satire and action moments, but the slow load times and overall unimmersive gameplay are minor letdowns. But if you like classic racing games or are a fan of vehicular combat, I would definately recommend. 4/5 stars.
This is the best RPG game I have ever played. There are endless play styles, as well as skills to learn, and stunning locations to explore, all accompanied by a memorable soundtrack. The countless side missions and guilds will keep you occupied long after you finish the main story. 5/5 stars.
Another flawless sequel to the series, this entry offers a deeper understanding of each character's backstory, allowing players to assume the roles of Gabe, Lian, Lawrence, and Teresa, with the bonus of mini-games and an improved deathmatch mode. 5/5 stars.
A definate favourite of mine in the adventure genre for games. The introduction of vehicles, hidden artefacts, and a larger arsenal of weapons improved the raiding experience greatly. Instead of just caves and tombs, there is a wider range of locations, including Italy and China. One of Lara Croft's best adventures hands-down. 5/5 stars.
This game is nothing but a harmful insult to a great series, so it's no wonder why the servers were shut down shortly after release. Not much to say, because it's really nothing much. 1/5 stars.
A great run-n-gun, but it didn't have as much action as the other two in the PS1 trilogy. It does however, feature the best boss fight in the series. Worth playing if you are a PlayStation fan and want to try the Syphon Filter series, but mediocre compared to it's successors. 4/5 stars.
This game is my personal favourite of the series. It offers the same freedom as the other entries in the franchise, with a more enjoyable challenge. It truly feels like a classic AC game. One letdown is that it doesn't feature memorable characters like Ezio, Leonardo Da Vinci, or Edward Kenway. 4/5 stars.
This game has a lot of positives, such as the fluent controls, immersive story, a large open world to explore, endless equipment to upgrade Ezio, and multiple approaches to each sequence. The only setback of this game is the unchallenging combat difficulty. Overall, the game is recommended for casual gamers, but definitely not for people looking for a challenge. 3/5 stars.
