The legendary game that I would have given a full 10 out of 10 too on the PS2 version back then, but can't do that here on PS4. No 10 out of 10 to be found here. Why? You ask? Because it crashed on me 4 times in less than an hour! Other players are having it just as bad. This burden alone overshadows anything excellent it would have had. Forget the story! Forget the graphics! Forget the gameplay! Infact, forget everything. Don't buy it until Tri-Ace decides to patch the bloody thing.

CONS - PS2 Graphics - The titantron of the rally playing in the main menu is misleading. It shows stunts, fancy light shows and a guy parachuting. Yet none of this happens during the actual gameplay. Instead, the only game mode you get to play is racing, racing, and more racing. - No online play! The servers for online are completely disconnected. Even the developers realised their failure. - Horrible soundtrack in general. Good music, yes. But horrible for the video game itself. - Excessive loading times when selecting your vehicle. - It matters not what sub-genre of a vehicle you pick, for all bikes have the same stats, all buggys have the same stats, etc - No cosmetic customisation for the vehicles you drive. Instead, the player chooses between a set of 2 to 4 cosmetic choices, which overall seems pointless. - Excessive loading screens to begin a race. - Game hints that ripoff jokes and quotes from other films and movies in hops of being cleverly helpful, when in reality it's annoying and sometimes insults the player. - The hidden "catch-up" rule is too strong. So strong that you can be in last place at the start of the final lap with a 10 second tailgate behind the next place car, and still come out in first. - Despite the multiple pathways a player can pick while racing; they're all designed for a particular vehicle to drive down, while penalising the rest. This completely kills any variety the player may have had outside of cosmetics. - The developers thought it was a good idea to have players drive the same maps over and over again with no gameplay variation other than the vehicle that you use. - Broken AI: Sometimes, they just come to a complete stop for no reason! Other times, they will drive right off the road to the point where it looks intentional. - Picking a Big Rig, and then ramming every other rival off the road is fun. So why is this being listed as con? Cause it's the only fun to be had with this game. - No replay value. PROS - None. **** this game! Don't buy MotorStorm! Not only is it the worst racing game I've ever played, it's also the worst Playstation 3 game I have ever played! Just awful!

The game will be reviewed under year 2006 standards. Aside from it's unique dream of "man taking it to the skies" the rest of Grandia III is "the" ultimate cliche. There's a headline for you. To understand that, you'd have to buy the game, which of course debate the writing at the bottom of this review. Most newcomers will be fooled at first believing it's battle system is original, but it's actually just the Final Fantasy series' ATB system, where your party members take turns attacking, and then must wait for a specified amount of time before said party member can act act again. It is a reoccurring element in the Grandia games, and one that most will easily adapt too. Certain attacks party members do can cancel enemy moves, and sometimes knock them in the sky, allowing other party members to combo attack them. Cancelling is a decent feature. Unfortunately the combo attacks are lost by mid-game as most enemies become immune to being knocked off the ground. Overall, the combat system is nothing spectacular nor dreadful. The game must be saved at a save point, which appears to look like a rainbow orb. Loading your file up resumes your adventure from that save. If all party members are incapicitated during battle; you will receive a game over and be kicked to the main menu. In other-wards you go back to the last place you saved. This in itself is fine. It teaches players not to get too cocky when encountering stronger foes, or otherwise participating in multiple battles. Unfortunately, the save points get spammed so much (as in there's too many save points) that it begins to lose that meaning. It comes with a skill and magic customization system, where you can choose exactly what special abilities and magic you want on your party. As you do more battles, you'll unlock more slots, which in turn lets you equip more magic and abilities. But no matter how many you get, one will find that the variety is always lacking one way or the other. The game will take about 50 hours to complete. In the end, I'm not going to tell anyone to buy this game or avoid it. There was a lot more I was going to say about Grandia III, but was cut due to spoilers or being too negative on a slightly above average game that doesn't deserve the hate.

I'm gonna go ahead and give Heavy Rain a thumbs up, and say that this is worth your money and time. It knows exactly how to keep players hooked when it comes to the immersion the story. It's got great voice acting, beautiful graphics in HD, almost a dozen endings, if not, more (I haven't fully counted them all to say for sure). The element of mystery is through the roof, and it's this that will keep players coming back for more! Nothing short of amazing! This is how you do a story-based game! Not that Beyond Two Souls garbage. Heavy Rain does come with it's flaws however. First off, the game is loaded with Quick Time Events, a mechanic that is frowned upon in a "true" video game today. QTEs are infamous for being the easy way out., when they can't be bothered to make actual gameplay. So instead, they make a scene where you just press a button to win. Heavy Rain takes this one step further however by utilizing the motion controls, which are frustrating as hell! Half the time, it doesn't work, I spent 5 whole minutes on one QTE alone just trying to turn my controller sideways. There's also a few flaws in some of it's story direction in terms of the decisions you make. Despite these issues; the average player will still have a blast with this game. Go ahead and purchase it, this will be money well spent.

My gut instincts wants me to tell you to don't buy this game. I've been a gamer since 1995. That's 20+ years worth of experience underneath my massive library, along with 1,000+ games of good and bad in-between. And my judgement is that Beyond Two Souls isn't qualified to be considered a good video game! The Controls aren't responsive, sometimes outright refusing to work, especially when you take cover. Your character is forced to walk everywhere, even in times when you're in danger, which makes absolutely no sense. Battles consists of nothing but "Quick Time Events" and running simulators. Some animations improperly loop themselves without trimming. Every decision you make during the story barely matters due to the linear pathway it leads the player down for almost the entire game. When I completed levels, I didn't feel a sense of accomplishment, I felt like I was brain-dead, because I kept putting up with this **** hoping there will be something more. And every time those hopes & dreams attempted to come to fruition, reality would snap it right back. Beyond Two Souls might as well have been a TV show because it has no gameplay. And to make matters worse: the game will randomly crash. (It crashed on me twice) I bought this game on the Playstation Store looking for a good story. Beyond Two Souls is a story driven game, and hearing that you're able to choose your own decisions during the game, I was on-board. But oh man! It gives you decisions... but with no weight behind them. The story for Beyond Two Souls is like taking sugar out of people's coffee, selling it to them, and hoping that no one will even notice. Some enjoy the bitter taste, but to others such as myself, it was downright nasty. When you intentionally make a story driven game, you need that depth to keep it fresh, it has to have that flavor to keep others addicted; and that is something Beyond Two Souls desperately needed. The good things I can say about this game is that the voice acting is superb. The graphics also get a half-mark. And a lot of time was put into creating the environment, so it does get points for that. Everything else: absolute fail!! Even 2 player is an eye-sore!! Beyond Two Souls earns itself a "graphics aren't everything" label. I've played broken games that are more fun and detailed than this. Overall Verdict After comparing this with some of the other bad games I've played, Beyond Two Souls earns itself additional points for effort. Unfortunately, it still doesn't reach a passing mark.

Pros - Well-designed battle system. - Lovable characters. - Amazing character development. - Stiff animations from cutscenes remain old-fashion, making you laugh in a good way. - Detailed lore - one with more depth than could possibly be asked for. In comparison, it is like delicious sprinkles on a cake. - The time of day is reflected visually, so you have morning, noon, and night. - Advanced customization for equipment and quartz, allowing you to design your party the way you want. - Link attacks giving your entire party meaning. - The "Blade" card game is loads of fun. (I played this for hours, and would do it again with a smile on my face.) - For the most part, enemies remain fresh instead of being cookie-cut everywhere. - Despite copy/paste of dungeon gimmicks, everything continues to remain fresh. - Cooking with a variety of different results. - Fishing, as well as other fun mini-games. Cons - Tutorial spam. - Where's the voice acting??? Really? You couldn't pay your dub actors for the finished product!?! - Empty school. For a building that is visited constantly, it all just seems so empty for a blocky high school. There's no attitude to it. - Terrible water effects. Go stare at the river while you're fishing... - No way to check Link Exp's number without a bonding event. Your only indication outside that is a green meter. - Awful motion blur while sprinting. - Copy/Pasted NPCs - Faces missing from generic NPCs. (Xseed, did you really think anyone wouldn't notice this?) - Random time skips. - Teachers smoking on school grounds.... - Bottles of alcohol in the resting room of underaged students... - Your equipment and quartz gets constantly removed every chapter, so you have to open up the menu and put it back on your party every single time. - Level locking. At multiple points of the story, you'll gain exp from battles at a very slow rate. Not only that, but the exp intentionally reduces itself, forcing you to continue with the game's story. This game isn't perfect, but it's definitely worth it. I've had more fun with this game than I've had with nearly all of my *PS4* games combined! Recommend that everyone should go out and buy this. Trials of Cold Steel is an experience like no other.

Can't believe I'm saying this but.... This is the worst first-person shooter game I have ever played for the PS3. Pros - The Sci-fi futuristic time-zone consisting of androids and cybernetics. - Detailed lore, and multiple files for you to browse around. (though you could probably still learn more from a website online) Cons - Everything else about the game!!! - Horribly programmed enemy AI's that run out in the open 90% of the time instead of looking for cover. - You battle the same ****ing generic soldiers over and over again, with little to no variation. - Invisible walls, sometimes completely interfering with your gunfire. - So generic for a first-person shooter that it's boring. - The linear design of it is so painful that it hurts. You see all these doors you can never open because the game drills you to go one direction every single time. - Terrible graphics. If you have an HD television, go into the in-game options menu and turn the gamma all way down to 0, or else prepare to be blind from the lighting. And adjusting the brightness doesn't fix the problem. - No memorable tunes in the entire soundtrack, and none that stand out. - The controls are absolutely garbage. On the first mission, I constantly found myself going in the options menu adjusting the X and Y axis , but could never get a good balance on it. In the end, I had to rely on the aim assist to do most of the work. - Copy/Pasted NPCs - Unskippable cut-scenes. - Non-Hostile NPCs that perform extremely puzzling and predictable actions. Whether it's run for the exit and despawn, or curling up in a ball with fear, they do the same f***ing action every single time. (You have to play this game to understand why this is part of the criticism) - Hilarious and sometimes frustrating bugs, like when grenades you send back don't explode. - The "Suicide" and "Persuade" features are broken, and may completely stop working during your playthrough! - The single player campaign is only 2 hours long.... 2 ****ing hours!?! - Electronic Arts has been creating video games since the early 1990s, and have the reputation for delivering a good game when they put their minds to it. So why did they bring us this **** in 2012!?! Nothing about this game is original, and that's the worst part of it all! Syndicate's story fails to grip. You won't give a care in the world about any of the characters, or what is going on for that matter. And when adding it's repetitive and hideous looking gameplay on top, it rounds itself out to be a truly revolting experience. The online multiplayer is dead, and it should stay that way, because after getting done the single player campaign, you will want to meditate in hopes of cleansing this grime from your mind. Let this warning stand for all you morbid buyers and Syndicate fanboys to run away, run while you're still alive. The verdict for this Mindjack game wannabe is a 2 out of 10! The only reason it escapes the 1 is because the game isn't overly buggy, broken, and crashing every 5 minutes. But it just **** because it had a cool sci-fi theme and element to it. But even that manages to screw itself through it's below average voice acting and often feel burdened with the rest of the gameplay.. Not once did I ever have fun playing from the moment I saw it's blurry main menu, to the moment the disc got ejected from my PS3. Do not buy this game! It is a mistake that will come back to haunt you!

This game originally came out on the handheld devises: Playstation Vita, and Nintendo 3DS befre getting ported to the Playstation 4 6 months later. With that in mind, let's proceed... I'm gonna start off by saying that Aeterno Blade's lack of voice acting, outdated graphics, and stiff movement and animations isn't at all the problem! The playing style takes up a retro feel that original Castlevania fans will no doubt appreciate. In this hack 'n' slash/metroidvania; mashing the attack button will often punish the player, as it becomes impossible to cancel the attack animations without using Blink. Most gamers will see this as an issue when it really shouldn't be. The game teaches you to control your actions, and not go all Incredible Hulk over everything. There's also a lot of advanced attack combos that certainly earned it's dues. But is where the positive feedback ends. And the rest of your hopes & dreams shatter like glass. Everything else in this PS4 port is a disaster!!!! Why does this game continue to spam tool tips and tutorials?? Whose bright idea was it to not allow players to turn them off??? 1. Story The story revolves around a girl named Freyja, whose out to seek revenge on the dark lord, Beladim, for destroying her village, as well as it's residents. The story is so dull, so boring, so pointless, that it's existence is actually hurting the game! You will constantly be stopped to read 2 to 8 pages of gibberish dialogue they call "cutscenes", and this will happen during battles. The only cutscenes that matter however is the first one that plays at the start of Stage 1, and the ones that play during Stage 7. There will also be some slightly more interesting scenes should the player go for the hidden ending, but even that manages to screw itself. There is no reason for "this" story to be in this game!! 2. Graphics and Visuals (Refer to the review intro) 3. Gameplay The enemy variety is well done. Even if some of those enemies only have different coloured pallets, they're still given at least 1 new attack, so it always keeps the foes fresh. The game has platformer moments where you have to dodge and jump over spikes using the abilities you acquire from gameplay. Finally, when you defeat an enemy, you collect "Yellow Orbs" or Y.Orbs, which can then be used to power up your character. You can improve HP, MP, Attack, and many others, All of this sounds great! .... Unfortunately, there's no balance in anything stated above. Despite the amount of attributes you can power up, it's still quite linear, and is almost punishing in it's design. In fact, if you don't upgrade your attack power, you'll eventually find yourself hacking & slashing at a regular enemy for over 5 minutes. Not a boss, not a superpowered enemy on steroids, but a REGULAR ENEMY. It will become nearly impossible for you to kill bosses, you won't hold your ground, and it is completely unfair! To make matters worse: you are already hitting the yellow orb grinds halfway through the game. Wanna speedrun the game? Too bad! Wanna casually playthrough the game? Too bad! Build up your health and attack power first or else get horribly owned by an overpowered boss or enemy horde. And by the time you finish that grind, you'll become sick of playing this game. I know I was. Here's the insulting part: when you die, you restart the area with a little bit more health. You can exploit this to get full HP in an area. Continue to die even more, and the game will ask if you want to reduce the difficulty. There's no f***ing penalty for death!!! Was this even playtested? Or were the designers afraid people would rate the game poorly for being too hard?!? What's the point in checkpoints if players can just heal through death?? Like I said: no balance. 4. Soundtrack The soundtrack is pretty much the only thing that won't make you vomit. Some tracks will serve as a aspirin, while others will lead you to question it's existence. 5. Bugs & Glitches These are the bugs I encountered in the PS4 version of Aeterno Blade... - The game randomly crashed on me 4 times during by playthrough! - Save often! - The music will bug itself during cutscenes by not playing the audio properly. - When an enemy dies; it registers as dead, but it doesn't despawn and continues trying to attack you. - When battling flying enemies, attacking them can cause them to travel upwards until the point where it's completely out of bounds. When this happens, the enemy will instantly die. - The enemies will sometimes get locked in a turning animation when it tries to turn around and face you, leaving it completely defenceless, and giving you an easy kill. 6. Overall Verdict There was fun here and there, but there were also times when I didn't want to play it due to how boring and repetitive it got. I just wanted it to end, and that is not a good feeling. Aeterno Blade gets a 4 out of 10. There is nothing perfect about this game. Itt isn't complete trash, just a tier above trash.

Angry Rant Incoming!!! (Do not read if you can't handle criticism) I just finished Gravity Rush Remastered about 10 minutes ago, and was left in shock over how many features that are straight up missing, or just wasn't included due to corner cuts. For the record; I did not play the vita version. This is just me randomly buying the game on the Playstation Store, playing it all the way through, and then unleashing the frustration in this review over a "Remastered" game that quite frankly should have had more effort put into it. Yes, the Gravity feature is amazing! Yes, exploring an open world is fun to do at first. Yes, the platforming levels are exciting at times. But beyond that slice of pie is a raw hollowed out filling that might as well be taken back for a refund, especially at the $32 canadian pricetag. You can to do the math work to figure out how much money that is in your country if you're not from Canada. Either way, I feel like I was conned, and here's why... Before I start bashing the game, here are a list of good things about it... - Interesting Story - Colourful Characters - Unique Gravity controls and concept (well maybe not, I haven't played many super hero games to know for sure) - The flight camera cooperates with the player reasonably well, and can easily be adjusted to the player's liking in the menu. - Multiple costumes to pick from. Now for the rest, I made a list of all the bad things discovered within my first 5 minutes of playing. Here it is... - No English Dubs. (Did you know that gaming companies have been hiring dub teams since the original playstation era? I'm sick and tired of playing foreign games that don't bother hiring english voice actors. When companies cut corners, it show's that they don't care about their product, and lack of english dubs is a pretty big oversight considering most of the sales, as well as Gravity Rush sales itself, come from america. Look it up. And no, French isn't a madeup language.) - Forced Tutorial. (This is a terrible trend in today's gaming that makes gamers feel like idiots. Tutorials are great, but keep them in a different part of a menu! Do not shove them in a players face. I know how to f***in jump! Let me learn the controls on my own! - Rigid walking animations. (If you can even call "jogging" a walking animation.) - No collision sound effects when you bump into people on the street. - Bumping into NPCs can bug them, causing them to awkwardly walk on the back of their heels. - No direction on how it wants to tell the story. It can't decide if it wants to use legit animations or storybook pages. - Hideous motion blur streetlights. (This "Remastered" version didn't bother to fix up it's awful blur from streetlights... "Remastered" is the keyword.) All of this found in 5 minutes!!! The open world idea was phrased in this review, but the reality is that Gravity Rush's world is completely barren. Even Grand Theft Auto III, a game that is more than a decade old, has more life & energy in it's civilians than the walking zombies you see in Gravity Rush. Gravity Rush tries to cover up this fact by spawning a lot of "precious gems" for you to collect during your free roaming, which are then used to power up your character. The power ups aren't necessary, just there. And once you tear off this mask, you begin to realize that the exploration in this game is utterly pointless, and you immediately go for the only thing that matters: which is the quests and time trials. This level of disappointment eventually transformed into pure unadulterated anger as I continued to uncover more questionable things that people in the User Score never stopped to think about. Here's the grocery list for all to see. Spoilers will be cut out for obvious reasons, but you can judge the rest... - Quest bugs can trigger, leading you in the wrong direction. - The Time Trials don't have a restart button. Made a mistake? Guess what! You have to quit the game and sit through 2 loading screens if you wanna try again! "Remastered" my ***! - Enemy variety is severely lacking. I can't say any more on the matter. - Only one boss battle is done decently, while the rest are....just boring, and predictable! - Copy/Pasted NPCs. - What's the point in interacting with a transportation vehicle if you can't even get in them!?! It doesn't even show a cutscene of the player riding it! >:( - Story quests constantly put you in your default attire, so you have to travel back home if you wanna put on your alternative costume again. - Terrible explosion effects. - Fetch quest spam! - The ending..... Are you serious!?! That's it??? - Despite what you heard, the story can be completed in only 5 hours... ONLY 5 HOURS!?! The official world record is clocked in under 2 hours... Only 2 f***ing hours!?! Aughhh!!!! The verdict is a 6 out of 10. I hated playing through this game because of all the missing elements and issues, but it's not a terrible game by all means. It's just wasted potential.

I'm going to do something that I normally don't do in my reviews, and that is game comparison. Keep in mind that everyone will have their own opinions, but I hope you see the reasonable angle of both sides rather than just outright dismiss it. _______________________ Star Ocean Till the End of Time (Director's cut) VS. Star Ocean: The Last Hope (International) Till the End of Time has a far better story and main antagonist. There won't be another Star Ocean game capable of holding this level of weight until the *special universe* is introduced again. Anyone who played Till the End of Time can probably figure out what that means. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time also has more variety in terms of endings along with your actions, and the consequences that lead up to them. The Item Creation system continues to give Fol meaning, and is slightly more advanced system than The Last Hope's Item Creation system overall. And you don't have to deal with the frustrating (yet OP) "blindside" mechanic that The Last Hope decided to go with for some reason. Finally, the game has more optional dungeons and more optional bosses. It just brought more to the table. As for The Last Hope, the fighting mechanics are more solid. The controls are smooth, and it doesn't feel like a penalty if you want start training another character. And nobody can deny that Last Hope has better graphics for it's standard Vs. Till the End of Time. No, I'm not talking about the obvious PS3 outdoing PS2 in technology, memory and data space. I'm talking about The Last Hope living up to graphics expectations of 2009. The scenery, moves, everything about the visuals of The Last Hope look beautiful.... aside from the obvious lip sync issues on English Dub. Till the End of Time's 2003 graphics can be mistaken for Mario 64! Characters look like clay models. Even Final Fantasy X, a year 2001 game, had better graphics than this 2003-2004 eyesore. WTF Square Enix!?! I wanna say that the cutscenes for Till the End of Time are better, but have to give the victory in this category to Last Hope instead, simply because Till the End of Time; when characters walk on the grass, you hear solid steps on concrete. There's other reasons I give the cut-scene victory to The Last Hope as well, but I don't think I`m able to say them outloud in an open review. Finally, The Last Hope has better dub voice acting than Till the End of Time's dub voice acting. ____________________ So which game is the victor? That is up for you to decide. There is no doubt however that they are both fantastic games. And if you're a JRPG gamer, I hope you'll give both Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and Star Ocean: The Last Hope a chance. You won`t regret the 60 to 80+ hours spent into either game. Star Ocean: The Last Hope deserves to be an 8 out of 10. Two things I am personally grateful for about this game is that it doesn`t shove tutorials down your throat, and it gives players the option to choose between english or japanese for both voices and subtitles, as well as a few other languages for subtitles. The only reasons The Last Hope loses 2 points is because of it`s tedious Battle Trophy grind, platinum trophy requirements, boring and liner optional fetch quests, the constant mashing of the sprint button when not in battle, and how level design eventually become repetitive towards the end of the game.

It goes to show you though, you don't need good graphics to make an amazing game. The positives outshine the negatives by far. It's best fret is the game's story, and the way it manages to keep the player involved. Episode 1 starts somewhat slow, painting you a picture for the orgasm to come. Episode 1 - 10 out of 10

Overall, Revelations 2 is a step backwards in horror and story. It continues it's unnecessary "Previously on Revelations" prologues, forces you to switch characters during playthrough, excludes an online campaign which clearly could have been there, and just tries to become a Resident Evil 4 clone without quick time events and upgrading weapons. Level designs have also become linear. However, it does have interesting characters. It has an improved dodge feature. The graphics look freaking amazing. The voice acting is superb. Combat in comparison to the first Revelations has improved despite melee attacks lacking variety. The weapons are fairly balanced even if Raid gives you too much magnum ammo. The greatest part is it's value -- only $25-$35 dollars for the full game depending on region, in comparison to Revelation's $60 value on PS3 at release. And Revelations 2 takes longer to complete! Many things could be improved, but Revelations 2 is an accepted sequel to the series.

Pros - Can choose between Japanese Dubs or English Dubs - Advanced turn-based RPG combo system. - Amazing English Dub voice acting. - Beautifully drawn portraits. - Epic music - Colourful characters. - Character customization in terms of weapon mic and skills. - Advanced difficulty is legitimately difficult! - 40 to 120 hours of gameplay depending on what difficulty you're playing. - Monsters swap each chapter, so even though areas you revisit look the same it won't feel the same, giving a sense of reason to go back. - Breakable clothing. Cons - Tutorial spam. - Clothes can break, but weapons cannot. And it's only fan service for males, leaving female gamers in the dark... - Conversations in cut-scenes drag on longer than they need to. - Lack of "fear" in a dying world. - Missables - PS3 knock-off graphics! This is supposed to be 2015 people! PS4! Next generation!! F**k!!! - PVS mode (it's pointless) - DLC: pay $1 and you get a cheat code. - Text translation grammar errors from Japanese to English. You can even find Japanese letters in some parts of the game. - $60 The game is fun & awesome, but the amount of errors that exist doesn't make it worth a $60 game. Wait until a price drop happens before purchasing.

As someone who has completed X-Blade, let me tell you about this game: It can be best described as the kid in high school you wanted to be friends with today but can't because everything they do pisses you off! There is a reason why the critics rated this game so low... It loses it's perfect 10/10 the moment you start playing. Not from it's awkward intro or the fact that it gives you so little to work on as to where you are or what you're doing; that doesn't take away from the enjoyment. What first takes it away is it's terrible camera angles, spammable tool-tips with no way to turn them off, and questionably fast movement. Next, you will notice is there is only 1 attack button with no real combos or thought process. There is also no guard button or penalty on death, so for the most part you can turn your brain off while dealing with most of the monsters. And the attack animation with your swords is the exact same!!! You do get at least 2 other combos later in the game, but requires a button input that's so stupid and such a waste of time - It takes a full second or two to set up the combo that does the same damage as your default instant button mash combo (which one are you going to choose). - There are magic attacks you get to use, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Dark, Light, all have at least 3 moves. But guess what: they are the exact same attacks: projectile, weapon appliance, and super explosive wave. - Every area you enter in consists of a horde mode aka: defeat all the enemies in the area, or defeat a certain enemy in the area while the other enemies harass you. But basically it comes down to "you must kill everything in the area to proceed" for every fight. There are no optional battles unless you decide to go back and revisit an area. - Areas you did battle in before begin to copy/paste themselves later, so eventually there becomes no atmosphere to admire. -The game lacks platforming. What is there as platforming is great, but us as fans would like to see more! - Laggy frame rates begin to happen in areas with monster generators. - Enemy variety for a PS3 game is low. So low that you wind up facing the same ones over and over and over and over and over! - The graphics are utterly terrible in HD. - The soundtrack is completely disregarded by it's artists and plays random tracks almost all the time - completely taking away almost any mood music. - Another big sin is the game's story and voice acting. It has no direction, no enthusiasm, no entertainment, and eventually no purpose. The only fun to be had with this game is it's boss battles, because each of them have to be killed in a specific way, which made it interesting to try and figure out what that is. As stated before, the little platforming that is in the game was also fun. But everything else about this game is absolutely unsatisfying!!! The moment X-Blades begins to build any fun factor, something comes along and kills it. The game feels unfinished in terms of level design and character attacks, and despite the praise it gets for it's boss battles, you sometimes end up facing the same boss you just killed an hour ago. SouthPeak Games think this is okay, but it's not! And I hope someone from their development team sees this review so they know what not to put in their games should they ever make more. Please, do not buy this game! Do not let boobs or a bada$$ looking chick on the front cover be the reason for you taking a hammer to the disc a week later.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. The game will be judged under year 2000 gaming standards. This review speaks from the perspective of a person who just wants to play a game, and is not necessarily a Dino Crisis hardcore fan. 1. Story It is difficult to describe the story without giving away spoilers, so rather than telling you about it, I'll just going to tell you the need-to-know: You play as 2 characters in the game, Dylan and Regina. You've been sent through a timegate to rescue 1300 residents of Edward City, which has mysteriously disappeared off the map in the main timeline. On the other side, vicious dinosaurs rule the planet, and none of them will hesitate to attack you on animal instants. Despite the dangers, you have a mission to complete. Go do it! 2. Voice Acting You can definitely feel the retro style in the voice acting, and despite a few cheesy lines, it''s done pretty well. 3. Graphics and Visuals There is an irritating lag during cut-scenes if you're using an HD television, but despite that, these graphics are at their best for the Playstation era! During gameplay, everything is smooth & laid out clearly. The jungle you explore goes together with the atmosphere like cake and icing. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization, and various puzzles you solve within the game. Put it all together and it's Above Average! -Battle System- Dinosaurs can jump at you during gameplay at any time, and they'll attempt sneak attacks on you. You could be walking in an area that looks fine, then suddenly have a Raptor jump out from behind and ambush you before you have the time to react. As unfair as it sounds; that's how a predator plays. Enemies will stubbornly spawn waves after waves in any given area, and you'll always be the prey in these hot-zones. There is plenty to kill here to the point where it can get repetitive. One more thing you have to watch out for is the Auto-Aim. You could end up pointing your gun at an enemy that isn't attacking you, and then get hit for it by a different enemy. It is highly recommended for new-time players to start on Normal difficulty. Hard difficulty is meant for those who understand the controls of the game because on this mode you can die in only 2 hits, and they spawn the stronger enemies earlier. -Customization- When you kill or severely hurt an enemy, you obtain something called "Extinct Points" which is considered the game's form of currency. Those points must be used to restock on ammo and various medical supplies you'll be using throughout the game. With enough Extinct Points, you are able to increase the maximum amount of ammo capacity on any gun. Though keep in mind that it's not possible to increase any other stats on a weapon, so you still might end up using a certain weapon to get through an area. The key to success is to spend your points wisely, and not wildly. Once you've gotten used to the game however, customization in Dino Crisis 2 is really just what weapon you want to use. -Puzzles- The puzzles are not too hard nor too easy, but with the amount of combat put in it almost feels like it's lacking, like a cake was baked with no love, then never tried again. 5. Soundtrack Dino Crisis 2's soundtrack isn't bad, but there's nothing here to phrase. In another year when you've moved onto another game, and then reflect back, you won't remember anything about the soundtrack for this game. 6.. Personal Enjoyment The one thing I was disappointed about was even after 2 playthroughs, I never got to try the "Dino Duel" game mode, which you can't unlock until you beat the game. Though granted, both playthroughs were on a different file. But I did have enough Extinct Points in the end to try the Dino Colliseum mini-game, which was basically just "kill all the dinosaurs in an empty arena type thing. The real game takes place in the actual story mode though, with minigames feeling unimportant. Both playthroughs took me around 5 hours to complete. The game was good enough for me to do 2 playthroughs before I came on metacritic to write the review, so it's definitely worth something. 7. Overall Verdict The main criticism lies in lack of puzzles, near-endless enemies in single areas, and mini-games that require multiple playthroughs just to be able to play. However, if you look past those issues, you'll see a gem behind the rocks. The verdict for Dino Crisis 2 is an 8 out of 10. Definitely worth everyone's time - you won't find a better dinosaur game anywhere else.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not you should buy this game. A lot of things to say but can't due to the 5000 character limit. The game will be judged under year 1999 video game standards. 1. Story You play as a 32 year old man named Harry Mason. Out on a vacation with your daughter, Cheryl, you are suddenly involved in a car accident on the outskirts of a town called Silent Hill. You awake unconsciously from the wrecked vehicle to discover your daughter went missing after the crash. As you search the streets looking for her, you begin to notice how deserted the town really is. Something is not right in Silent Hill, but the only thing that matters to you right now is your daughter... Silent Hill (video game) is filled with history. And it's the mystery behind it that will quickly have you attached. However, by the time you complete the game, there will still be a lot of unanswered questions that leave first-time-gamers confused. The first game's story lacks backbone. And the only way to correct it is to look up the history online, or play future instalments of Silent Hill. It's possible that some questions weren't meant to be answered during the game's creation - but whose to say? 2. Voice Acting The voice actors & actresses were great in their performances, but the editors must have taken one-too many coffee breaks. Characters in this game will speak in a single sentence or two..... and then pause every 2 seconds.... "Did you know that my daughter...... is still out there somewhere? ..... I need to find her....." Expect speech pausing to happen often. 3. Graphics and Visuals These graphics are nothing fancy, but will get the job done. The most important thing is that it must have you believing in it, and there's a mix of both here. The best comes from your own character's animations, while the worst comes from trying to figure out what doors in the town you can actually open. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to survival horror, and the various puzzles you solve during the game. Put it all together and it's average! -Survival-Horror- In this game, your ammunition is limited, so your survival horror instants have to kick in if you want any chance to survive. There is not enough ammo to kill everything in the game on normal difficulty, so you're gonna be running away from a few battles. When you are battling, controls are perfect in responsiveness. Remember that Harry is a middle-aged man with no combat experience before the story, so it matches really well. Combat uses your standard weapons like handguns, shotguns, things one is familiar with. It also has melee weapons, though not recommended to use those unless you're freakishly good at the game. When using a gun, bullets have a have a chance of missing your target the further away you are from them. Even at 20-foot range with the gun pointing straight at them, bullets can still fly diagonally. So it's a good idea to get as close as you can without getting hurt before you unload that bad-boy. The enemies will start off extremely basic, but it's still recommended to save as much ammo as you can because the enemies later will give you a run for your money. -Puzzles- These puzzles were taken overboard in terms of difficulty. There's no balance here. When you have to use an FAQ or a guide just to get through a section, you're not playing the game, and that hurts it's value. I'm talking about first-time players here, and not veterans who already know everything. These can be ridiculously hard, and not everyone had an internet back then for the instant answer. Konami fails at designing a decently challenging puzzle. 5. Soundtrack The only thing you'll remember is the static from your radio, and whatever the awkward screeching in the background Konami calls music. Not convinced? Search up the ost for this game and listen. It will have those with sensitive ears bleeding within a minute. There is hardly any music here for phrasing. 6. Personal Enjoyment When it was time for combat or to dodge/avoid enemies, I did have a lot of fun. It's got story, and it sure has survival horror. But it doesn't have anything else. The replay value is low, and it's mainly because of the amount of running around you have to do. I spent 7 hours trying to beat this game because I couldn't figure out what doors were open-able. No doubt that there is potential in the franchise, but it isn't with this game. Silent Hill fanboys are free to down-rate this review, but everything I've said is still true. 7. Overall Verdict The final verdict is a 6 out of 10 - slightly above average. Unless horror is your main genre and you're in to some really freaky stuff, there's not really a whole lot of reason to come back. Only buy if you're a curious cat.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not you should buy this game. A lot of things to say but can't due to the 5000 character limit. Seeing this in the Playstation store, I decided to give this a go, and bought it without any prior knowledge on what the game was about. And after completing it I can say that Battle Princess of Arcadias is a huge disappointment. Many elements missing here that will forever prevent this game from being great. The longer I played it, the more my criticism would pile. But in the end, I just couldn't find myself to hate this game enough to destroy it. 1. Story If you're someone whose looking for a good story as well as gameplay, then don't look here. The story targets an audience range between ages 10 to 12. But most gamers are way above that age bracket because of them having the actual money or resources. Even then, this fairytale story is filled with plotholes, and predictable outcomes you can see coming from a mile **** story however is still worth paying attention too at least once due to it's colourful characters. 2. Voice Acting Heavy Criticism Alert!!! -The game only has Japanese dubs in all versions of the game, which is not acceptable!! When you release an NA version or an EU version ****, you hire a voice acting team, and put in english dubs! You don't leave the japanese dubs as the only option in the NA or EU version because no one outside of Japan is going to know what the hell they're saying! Oh- There's english subtitles in there so it must be okay, right? NO! It's not okay!!! Gaming companies have been hiring their dub voice acting team since the original playstation era! What the developers did for this game was the very definition of lazyness! They don't deserve a free pass! 3. Graphics and Visuals For a side-scrolling theatre type game, the graphics here are pretty good, even if some of the characters look like paper. During gameplay, there are a lot of different colourful backgrounds filled with detail and scenery. Of all the stale things in this game, graphics & visuals won't be one of them. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization & level up, and various game modes you play within the game. Put it all together and it's average! -Battle System- The game is a 2D beat'im-up action rpg. Despite only having a few simple combos for the characters you play as, the fighting and controls are excellent! You have your standard basic attacks for Square, and your heavy attacks for Triangle. You can mix the two together to create a combo attack, which allows you to dish out multiple hits to an enemy. The game comes with 10 playable characters, and each character's combo attacks are different. -Customization- By visiting a blacksmith shop, it is possible to customize your weapon stats by improving or adding an element (Fire, Ice, or Lightning), luck, or further increase it's attack power... - that is if you can get though it's dysfunctional menu. By end-game you'll have so many items that it will require you to scroll through a list of junk to reach what you want. There's no sort button or separate menus for stats either. This is the only thing that can be considered customization. There is no alternative attires or costumes, and level-up stats is fully automatic. -Modes- All 3 modes; lacks tactics in Skirmish, danger in Siege, and platforming in Combat. 5. Soundtrack Mostly forgettable. The soundtrack here is the type where you're gonna put on your own tunes to help you get through a grind because you'll quickly lose interest in hearing the 1-minute loops. 6. Bugs & Glitches It isn't a big deal but I feel it needs to be mentioned anyway in case someone out there is receiving the worst of it. The game randomly crashed on me once when I was trying to do a "crazy dance" attack with a character. No further damage was done to my save file or PS3, but it is recommended now for players to turn on the auto-save from the options menu. 7. Personal Enjoyment The game took me about 3 days to complete, having playing it non-stop other than sleep. So it does take a reasonable amount of time to finish. Some parts felt pointless, but overall was a fun game. 8. Overall Verdict The final verdict for Battle Princess of Arcadias is a 5 out of 10. Had english dubs been put into the game it would have been a 6 out of 10. I cannot recommend anyone to play this game. It isn't by all means bad, but there's just not enough of an incentive here for paying full price or even $29.99 . Wait until it comes down to bargain bin price before purchasing. And if it never does, just move onto another game.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. The game will be judged under year 1999 standards, the year it was first released for Playstation. 1. Story The story takes place in a fictional mid-western town called Raccoon City. The T-Virus has been unleashed, it's citizens decimated, and turned into zombies. Playing as Jill Valentine, you must find your way out of the city. However, that's easier said than done when a Tyrant continues to stock you... This story has been done a million times before, but it never get's old. The great part about it is the cut-scenes are balanced, not bring too long or too short. 2. Voice Acting There are a few areas where the voice acting could be improved, but all around, the voice acting is fine. 3. Graphics and Visuals You are going to be amazed when you see all the glass, rubble, fires, destroyed automobiles, and otherwise destruction everywhere. This is what it should feel like in an apocalypse. If this doesn't blow you away then nothing phases you. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to survival-horror, customization, and various puzzles you solve within the game. Put it all together and it's Awesome! -Survival-Horror- Survival-Horror will only be found on Hard difficulty, and doesn't exist on Easy. On Hard difficulty, you will be pushed to the limit as you try to conserve enough ammo & healing to get through an area. But the most intimidating part is that every time you enter an area, enemies could be completely different. You might get Zombies in one area, and then Zombie Dogs in the exact same area the next time you play. This keeps the game fresh as you never know what to expect. Unfortunately, those who love the survival-horror genre will be disappointed with the "dodge" feature. Once you master this, there is no survival-horror left at all! You can essentially run around and kill everything with a knife. This takes away from the experience to the point where it shouldn't be present in the game. Another issue is the lack of boss enemies. -Customization- Unless you're playing on PC or Dreamcast, customization is rather limited. More cannot be said due to this being a spoiler free review. -Puzzles- Capcom nailed it on the puzzle part. In fact, all of the puzzles are really enjoyable. 5. Soundtrack These tracks will play mind-games with you during gameplay, and this is something you're gonna watch out for if you hope to survive. There are times when these tracks will attempt to overpower your emotions by playing only when the enemies spawn, or just playing when enemies are simply nearby. With enough experience, you'll understand what this means. As far as the music itself goes, it is amazing. There are no bad songs, from cut-scenes to gamplay, to even a menu screen. 6.. Personal Enjoyment Oh my god! The amount of saves & reloads I had to do in order to explore an area on Hard mode. I completed the game in 7H 23M, and got an F-Grade for it, but I don't care. It was one of the best moments of my life. You spend so much time trapped in the city and... well... - let's just say there's no other feeling like what you'll be feeling when you complete the game for your first time. You have to be there to experience it. 7. Overall Verdict Despite a few flaws, this game is worthy of preservation, and deserves to be saved. The final verdict for Resident Evil 3 is an 8 out of 10! One of the best Resident Evil games made so far.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. 1. Story The story is set on the fictional Ibis Island, where a man named Edward Kirk has been developing a secret weapon inside his facility. Once discovered, the Secret Operation Raid Team (SORT) was dispatched to bring Kirk into custody. Upon the team's arrival, they shortly realize something isn't right when they find nothing but silence and dead bodies ripped apart. A new foe of lizard-like dinosaurs quickly exposes themselves and begins to treat the SORT team like a main course for dinner. Now you must guide 23 year old Regina, member of SORT, to solve the mystery that has claimed the island, while trying to capture Kirk before the dinosaurs capture you with their teeth. 2. Voice Acting The only good voice acting you'll hear is from Regina. Everyone else sounds like thoughts of "Wow! Technology has advanced so far to allow voice overs in video games. Let's act!" and then they do their lines without any heart. Even the dinosaurs will sound better than the rest of the npcs. 3. Graphics and Visuals The graphics follow a real-time 3d style texture & background. When it comes to Dino Crisis's artistic design and animations, they are only considered passable - not great. Even for year 1999 standards, it could have been better. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to survival-horror, customization, and various puzzles you solve within the game. Put it all together and it's Average! -Survival-Horror- Dino Crisis will attempt to overpower your emotions with it's frightening enemies and lack of ammo pickups, and does a pretty good job at it too. They'll ambush you, and follow you through doors. Taking damage can also inflict the Bleeding status on you, which damages you overtime, and attracts even more dinosaurs if you don't use a hemostat or another item to fix the blood loss. Everything from healing items to ammo is limited, so you must plan your moves carefully. The "survival" is solid. The "horror" however is to be questioned. In this game, there is something called "Danger" events where you have to rapidly mash the buttons to avoid taking damage or facing instant death. This takes away from the horror element when you know the attack is coming. There's also a lack of enemy variety in this game to the point where they just color the same dinosaur something different. Overall, it just comes down to how many enemies you can dodge without using bullets. -Customization- Every weapon you find in this game can be upgraded at least once if you find the weapon parts. Unfortunately, it won't feel as great as it's hype when you find out how many weapons there actually are in the game. There's costumes too, but you can't access them until you beat the game, which is a real let down. -Puzzles- All the problems for puzzles happen at the last half of the game, where suddenly you have to have a straight A's intelligence to solve a simple problem. When you have to look up online or use a magazine guide on how to get through a certain section, you're not playing the game. And it loses points for that. There's also a lot of unnecessary running around, which doesn't feel justified. 5. Soundtrack There's a lack of dinosaur sounds in the background when you're outside the facility. It's not even in the soundtrack either, which could have easily been done. Also, the Music overlaps the SFX by default, so you barely hear any enemies during gameplay, or voices during cut-scenes. Fortunately you can fix the ladder part in the options menu. But it get's worse: The SFX overlaps voice overs during the cut-scenes, so sometimes you have no idea what everyone is saying. And there is no fix for that. 6.. Personal Enjoyment Dino Crisis comes with a lot of issues as you see. But despite that, I was okay with them, and even managed to have fun playing. My game file clocked at 7H 39M when I completed it, but really it took me over 12 hours if you include all the deaths, and the amount of times I got frustrated from running around. 7. Overall Verdict Instead, I am giving this game a 7 out of 10. Could have easily been a 9 out of 10 had it not been for the issues listed above, but there's just too many to ignore. Overall, this game is still worth a playthrough.

Before we begin, I would like to point out that I am looking at this as a game, and not someone who prefers the mainstream games or the classic survival-horror games. It is judged solely as a "video game" and not a personal preference. Worst Resident Evil game I have ever played! It's so bad that I don't wanna give it a proper review on Metacritic. Despite this, I will give Operation Raccoon City a fighting chance by talking about the pros of this game before we send this abomination back to the depths of hell. What is good about this game... - Each character you play as has their own special abilities and perks. Some of these abilities and perks prove better in certain situations, giving each character their own uniqueness. - The missions in campaign in terms of scenery and area are designed pretty well. Say what you want, but it does feel like a city when you walk around on the streets, especially when you see the tons & tons of zombies coming after you. - The Versus mode - PvP maps are also designed well. There is just the right amount of space for all 8 players to work with, and when 8 player games happen it gets chaotic. Mixed Feelings that don't quite hit positive or negative... - It takes a lot of ammo to kill a Hunter even when working as a team. In Campaign mode it may not be a problem for some, but in PvP it's constant harassment for all. - There are no single player modes in this game. Now it is time to "destroy" this game, something everyone was waiting for... - DLC: If you download any, and your friends don't, you cannot play with them any more. - There is a heavy variety of weapons to choose from, but is ultimately pointless! The only weapons you'll ever need in this game are the Samurai Edge, and a Shotgun of your choice -- that's it! - The game will crash at the most random times, and there's no way to avoid it. One time I turned on the game and it crashed right on the title screen. - Invisible enemy bug: one time my friends and I had to fight an invisible Hunter mob, only for the game to crash at Mr. X. - Lack of enemy variety for the amount of killing you have to do. You are shooting the same enemies over and over again. - Laggy frame rates during cut-scenes, and some scenes are just pointless filler. - Campaign is only 4 hours long... - Game was priced at $60 at time of it's release. A $60 value for only a 4 hour campaign. As you can see, the negatives far overlap the positives to the point where the game is a disaster. Operation Raccoon City should have started in the bargain bin at release rather than the shiny glass display cabinet. I have it sitting on my shelf right now collecting dust, and that's probably where it's going to be for the rest of it's days. If you see this game in the stores, resist all temptation to buy. You'll get more for your money spending it at fast-food, or buy that special special someone a present over buying this game.

A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. No mentioning of DLC will be in this review. Dishonored is an Action-Stealth game, released on 2012. Despite it's genre, it is recommended for newcomers to do their first playthrough without worrying about the stealth. That will allow studying of layouts for when a stealth run ever gets attempted. 1. Story There isn't much story here. You can play this entire game without ever knowing what's going on. Here's the basic jest of it: you are a wanted man for killing the Empress. Every mission you play will have city guards attempt to see you out as you try to accomplish various objectives throughout the game. The game itself leaves no secrets and informs you that more people you kill, the darker the overall outcomes will be. Will you play the good-hearted ninja? Or will you play the butchering assassin? 2. Voice Acting It's possible the voice acting could be improved, but it isn't the worst thing in the world. And if you're doing a stealth run it will be the least of worries. 3. Graphics and Visuals Yet, another area that receives only average feedback. The character models look like giant clay dolls walking around, so there's no love here. But every other artistic area in this game is superb. When you walk (or sneak) around town it really does feel like the early 1900's. And the animations for powers will take you by surprise. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it deserves the highest rating possible! -Battle System- All the battle actions and weapons you use will feel too basic for a standard action game, but it's all for good reason. Simple stabs, slashes, and gunfire can kill a person like it would in real life. Unfortunately, the AI's are too predictable in combat, and health drops are so plenishable to the point where you'll have to raise the difficulty to gain any real challenge, especially if you go around slaughtering everyone. -Customization- In order to build up and customize your character, you'll need to collect an item called Runes, which will be explained more in game. There are also Bone Charms which add a small special ability boost. The difference between Runes and Bone Charms is that Runes are used for casting powers and cannot be undone once applied, and Bone Charms come with a completely random effect per playthrough but you can equip and unequip them any time. -Exploration- This is where the game does it's best. You will spend a lot of time exploring the area and studying the games scenery, and the reason for this is because hidden pathways are everywhere! There are many different routes you can take to reach your objective, and I swear you will have a lot of fun discovering them. 5. Personal Enjoyment I went into this game expecting nothing of it at first, and was even so bored with the opening that I actually stopped playing. But then I came back to it a month later and decided to try it again, and was blown away with how the story and areas continued to get better and better. The first playthrough took about 15 hours to do; and that's just with me dying over and over again from gunshots on Very Hard difficulty. Suffice to say, whether it's challenge or simple, it has something for everyone. 6. Overall Verdict When you play Dishonored, it doesn't feel like a cash in, it doesn't feel unfinished, it doesn't feel like a car crash or a quick idea to keep up with other rival companies. It feels like a video game, and that's the way it should be. There is no possible way that Dishonored can get any better, and that is why I am issuing my very first 10 out of 10 for a PS3 game! Absolutely flawless! This game is so good that it when not playing, you should place the game and it's box in a glass display case, and hire a bodyguard so that no one takes your valued treasure. Buy this game!

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. Finally! A JRPG game worth phrasing on the PS3! The critics are talking out of their a$$ to give it a 65. Fairy Fencer F is worth any JRPG gamer's time. 1. Story Rather than describing the character you play as, I'm going to describe the main focus of what the story has you doing. The world is scattered with little creatures called Furys. Your job as the player is to go capture them all, so that you can bring them back and use their power to revive the Goddess, and have your wish granted. As your quest proceeds, more characters will be inclined to join your cause, and rivals will of course be inclined to take you down. That's all you need to know. Now, go out there and collect them Furys! 2. Voice Acting Accepted. Not much else to say. 3. Graphics and Visuals There are very little cut-scenes in this game with animation. Instead; the character portraits of whoever is speaking will face the screen, as if it were a theatre play. The portraits themselves will blink, breathe, and even show emotion on their face. As far as the actual animations and graphics for stuff like the city you live in, the dungeons, overworld, and battle animations, there is no lazyness here in it's design. Detail can be seen everywhere. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it's Above Average! -Battle System- The game's battle system follow a turn-based tactical style. Touching an enemy will begin the battle scene. From there, you move your character to a position on the field (or not at all), choose the move you want to do, and then the turn ends. It then becomes the next character's turn. Knock an enemy's HP down to 0 and you win. Now here is where the perfect 10 begins to crumble: there is a massive difficulty spike halfway through the game, where boss enemies suddenly get 3 times the amount of health as the previous boss. Another criticism is that cut-scenes removes your power-ups from any boss fight you start, making you having to waste more SP to cast. Also; character lines are fairly limited - you wind up hearing the same 1-liners over & over * over again. "My turn!" "Let's do this!" "New data!?" -Customization- This game allows you to customize your character's physical attacks and magic that you use during battle. However, some physical attacks will result in the same damage, even the moves you spend that hard-earned WP on. Outside of magic, the variety is just in it's animations, as you'll only need to stick to a few choice moves. The real customization comes from the Furys you can equip. Each character in your party can equip one Fury, and each will come with their own little attribute stat buffs & special abilities. -Exploration- The worst part of the game! Later dungeons are blanted cookie-cuts of ones you'll have already played, with the only changes being the enemies, immovable objects being placed elsewhere, and having a different dungeon name slapped on. This kind of practice may have been acceptable on previous consoles, but is not acceptable for the PS3 generation. It's also disappointing that there is no exploration anywhere outside of dungeons. The exploration is non-existent. 5. Soundtrack Most of the music itself is really good; but feels unbalanced for a JRPG. You hear techno in one dungeon, fantasy opera in another, and then suddenly it plays rock music in one of the menus. It's almost as if its unsure as to what itself wants to demonstrate. Perhaps the developers will find a way to turn this into a new trend. 6. DLC The original game itself is $64 canadian on disc. Adding all the DLC on top of it equals to around $106... You can clearly see that it's just a way for the company to earn that extra buck past the $60 limit, all for costumes & attachments that you'll probably only use for 2 to 3 battles before switching back. The only DLC worth looking at is the "Surpass Your Limits" sets, which increases the level cap and gives you another dungeon to play... and of course the free DLC. 7. Personal Enjoyment I managed to get my moneys worth out of the 35+ hours it took for me to complete the game, but I can see how this game wouldn't be meant for everyone. But it's good enough for a sequel. I hope the developers address all the issues listed in this review so that they can make the next Fairy Fencer F game an even bigger success. It's battle system and creative stories has the ability to go a long way. 8. Overall Verdict My verdict on this game is an 8 out of 10, barely good enough to be saved. You are not a true JRPG gamer if it isn't in your stack of games.

This is an angry rant on Atelier Rorona Plus because the original review posted got taken down. And this will continue to be reposted because I paid 50$ for this game on the playstation store, and played this nightmare through to the end so I earned the right to speak out. Everyone will know how bad this game truely is. - Right off the bat, the game begins with a 30 minute tutorial, explaining synthesis, and how to recruit party members. Doesn't even give time for the player to collect their thoughts or look around as all areas are blocked off with invisible walls until it's over. Don't start your games like this!!! It makes new players feel uncomfortable having to process so much information at once. And not everyone can. And if skipped, they won't know what they're even doing. Break up your tutorials piece by piece; don't dump it all at once! - This game has good story, graphics, voice acting, and atmosphere, but fails to do everything else right. - A knight named Sterk gives you assignments to complete throughout the game. They range between crafting and killing monster. Miss one assignment within the in-game timer and it's game over, and you have to reload a save. All of this is just house chores! Here's what gameplay is like: you go out and kill monsters, collect ingredients, return to watch cut-scene, synthesis, then turn in assignments for your next headache! Rinse & repeat about 200 times! This isn't fun!!! Any real gamer can see that these are mini side-quests forming into the main quest storyline. You have to do them too, which is the torture of it all. It is boring and unacceptable for today's gaming. The game attempts to color it's synthesis menu by giving you a variety of things to make. But the problem is you end up making the same thing 20 times during gameplay. And when you run out of ingredients, you'll magically notice an assignment involving an item you just did 10 minutes ago!!! **** ARP! - This game continues to taunt players with what could have been a really enjoyable battle system. But it's destroyed by the in-game timer described above! - The deafening soundtrack will destroy you if you don't download the free BGM DLC on the store, because the few good songs isn't worth sticking it out for. - There is no enjoyment for doing anything outside of cut-scenes. I paid 50$ of my own money on the playstation store to tell everyone if this game was worth it, and it was some of the worst 30 hours of my life. Fortunately, Atelier Rorona Plus isn't the worst game I've ever played, but it's still pretty bad. I feel sorry for the developers who actually had to make this crap because this game isn't fun. No one should buy this game. No one needs to endure this torture.

Take my word for it guys: this game is broken! The other reviews on this page are mis-leading. I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not you should buy this game. A lot of things to say but can't due to the 5000 character limit. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is filled with rich detail, decent graphics during it's time, superb voice acting, and gives you plenty of things to do. There is over 100 dungeons in the game, and it masters the RPG element in it's genre. This game was a dream come true for all gamers of 2007 who don't like being restricted to linear gameplay. It all sounds golden, but NOTHING ****ING WORKS!!! 1. Story There's a lot to dive in here, so I'll just skip to the important parts without revealing spoilers. The game begins you in a prison where you design your character. You get to pick your race, customize their appearance, and then eventually choose their stats and birth-sign. Assassians have come for the Emperor, and a secret escape passage happens to be in your holding cell. Skipping the spoilers a bit, you'll eventually break out of prison, and can follow the main questline, or choose to go anywhere in the world. The main story itself is a little chiche but is stomachable. 2. Voice Acting You'd think that having the same voice actor or actress for each race would hinder the game, but it actually helped. The entire cast is amazing and will have you believing the character. 3. Graphics and Visuals Some people would say there was a lack of detail in the art & graphics of this game since all forests and dungeons look the same, but for 2007 standards, it's actually pretty good. The nature and bushes is there in forests. Mountains feel cold & frosty. Swamps feel damp & wet. And the major cities, though probably not as big as they could be, is lively. There is no one in the world that can deny this. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization & level up, and various areas you explore within the game. Put it all together and it deserves the highest rating possible! -Battle System- Enemies swing their weapons in a very stale-like fashion, and all attacks eventually become predictable; fortunately the competitive players are given a difficulty meter in the options menu if they ever want to take it to the next level. Now as for actual combat itself; you have the choice of bashing, slashing, or blasting your foes. The weapons available are Swords, Greatswords, War Axes, Battleaxes, Magic, and many more! You can even play as an archer and 1-shot everything if you manage to build up your marksmanship enough. But beware: the RPG element is active! As you attack, you'll begin to lose stamina, which causes you to do less damage with your swings. Magic requires Magika or Mana points to cast, or you won't be able to use spells. The key is to balance your magicka and/or stamina while depleting your opponent's health, and to get the first strike before any of your foes even notice you're in the area. Shields are hilariously overpowered in this game, which you'll begin to notice at later levels, especially if you enjoy fighting Legion soldiers. -Customization- The game is very flexible when it comes to customizing your stats. Unfortunately, it's also faulted, and makes you level in a specific way or else you miss out level cap. Quest rewards are leveled --you don't get the full value of an item until you are at least level 25. Now some things that it does do right in customization is giving you the privilege of letting you put on any armor piece you want, and making it so that all equipment is breakable. Once it's broken, you cannot use the item again until it is repaired. Same goes for enchantments. -Exploration- Arguably the best part of the game is when you go out and explore the overworld. There's so much adventure out there and places and see. 5. Soundtrack Acceptable. 6. Bugs & Glitches Now, forget every good quality listed in this review or these bugs will screw you over later. In the GotY, if you become a vampire there is no cure! The only way to fix it is to buy the original Oblivion disc. Stealing items causes quests to activate pre-maturely or not at all, which is unfortunate if you're in the Thieves Guild. Quest characters disappear or are missing dialogue. After 80 hours of gameplay, your game will horribly lag or crash every hour. The nightmare goes on.... 7. Personal Enjoyment ... 8. Overall Verdict I am not trolling. This is a legit account rating this game a 1 out of 10!!! The lowest score possible because 0 isn't a score! It earns it's 1 out of 10 for it's awful bugs, quest halting, and delivering a fantasy that only lasts for 30 minutes at best. **** this game! Too many bugs - It deserves to be destroyed! Do not buy, do not even play!

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. First, I'd like to say that if you're a first-time player, play offline. Don't play co-op without an actual friend. The community is now plagued with hackers, trolls, and gamers who will attempt to skip any cut-scene on you or else threaten to rage quit. They will also hog all of the items and ammo for themselves. Playing offline allows you to adapt to the physics and gain an understanding to how the main gameplay is, until you are comfortable enough to see the "real world" for what it is. More story skits also take place offline. 1. Story The story takes place in 2009, where B.S.A.A. member, Chris Redfield is dispatched to Kijuju, Africa to apprehend a black market weapons dealer named Ricardo Irving. Due to the distrust Africans have towards Americans in the story, Sheva Alomar is also assigned to assist Chris on his mission. But as they prepare, they notice something isn't right. And when things go quiet, all hell breaks loose shortly after. The best part about the story is that it's introduced in a way where you don't feel left out for missing the previous games. Veteran characters like Chris Redfield are back, so it appeals to both new fans and old fans. But... There are a few flaws in the story to point out: first of all, the B.S.A.A. members have radio headsets with them, including the main broadcast from HQ, yet they'll sometimes act as if they don't have any contact with each other at all. Another flaw you'll notice is the lack of police/military protocol "Hands in the air, NOW!" type of deal. Can't explain more because this review isn't marked with spoilers, but if you're intelligent enough you'll figure it out. Finally, Chris should have died so many times... in just the story! Count it as you're playing through! Despite this; the story does manage to deliver a satisfying ending that most fans can agree with. 2. Voice Acting Capcom follows the role of "If you're gonna play your part, you better do it right!" kind of deal. Always keeping the cast fresh, shedding new light on the Resident Evil universe. 3. Graphics and Visuals The graphics are superb in every way & form. Not much else to say. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it's Awesome! -Battle System- This game is co-op focussed. What makes Resident Evil 5 unique for strategy is that ammo picked up is only given to one player rather than both. So if you pick up your partner's shotgun ammo they desperately need you'll have to give it to them manually. Of course this means nothing once you unlock infinite ammo. -Customization- Resident Evil 5 has a small bit of an rpg elements here, painting experience points with gold, and distributing them in order to buy or upgrade weapons. The great thing about this game is that you can upgrade any weapon you want in any fashion you want. It's possible to complete the game without upgrading but is significantly more difficult. -Exploration- The exploration in this game is just a point-to-point: get to this location, fight boss, and you win. There isn't any free-roaming and is just a one set path - something which most fans will be disappointed with. This slightly takes away from the atmosphere, as you're not able to come back and revisit an area without using chapter select. 5. Soundtrack For a Survival Horror game, it kind of lacks it's elemental music. In fact, it drifts over to the point where it feels like an action game. The soundtrack stands good, but isn't great. 6. DLC Finally, DLC that is worth phrase. You'll end up playing Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape only a few times, but you'll definitely revisit Versus mode, and possibly The Mercenaries Reunion. Each coming with their own filler & type of fun. 8. Personal Enjoyment The main campaign feels short; but I had so much fun playing this game with my friends. We've put thousands of hours into this game because it was the best game to play after a hard day's work. Most of our time was spent in Versus mode, where we played as our favourites, and thought of unique ways to kill Majinis rather than killing each other. 9. Overall Verdict If I could, I would rate this game a full 10. But personal feelings should only have a small impact on the overall score. And that's why Resident Evil 5 gets rated a 9 out of 10. Without DLC; it is only a 7 out of 10. Pick up the game because it's worth a playing at least once. I would say more about the game but the rest is better to experience personally.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not you should buy this game. A lot of things to say but can't due to the 5000 character limit. 1. Story The story follows Lucas (if you picked Male) or Dawn (if you picked Female) as they try to outdo their childhood friend, Barry, in completing the pokedex; and then eventually race each other to who can become Pokemon champion. As the player journeys along; they have to battle Gym Leaders, grow stronger with their Pokemon, and deal with a villainous organization called Galactic, who feel it is their right to alter the entire universe. Not much more plot can be given away without spoiling, but this story is going to take you by surprise. 2. Graphics and Visuals Some of the animations for attacks feels like it's a step backwards, while some animations are a step forwards. Another confusion is how you'll see is how the graphics outside of battle look pixelated, but when you enter battle the graphics suddenly upgrade to console-worthy. Mostly unbalanced... 3. Gameplay Gameplay refers to the Battle System, Customization & Level Up, and various areas you explore within the game. Put it all together and it's awesome! -Battle System- This is where you're gonna have the most fun. You'll begin the game with only one Pokemon of your choice. The only way to get more on your team is to catch them in the wild using Pokeballs. They'll be the only tool you can use for catching in the beginning, but more variety will open up overtime. Be careful though, because if another trainer sees you outside of town they may challenge you to a Pokemon battle with no way for you to refuse. When in battle, you have the choice of picking 1 of 4 moves, using an item, switching Pokemon, or running away (only works during wild encounters). To win a battle, you must deplete the HP of your foe's Pokemon through your Pokemon's moves. There will be plenty of battles to keep you on your toes. -Customization- The customization is there! You can build your team anyway you desire by choosing your Pokemon and their moves as they get stronger. There's also a few more customization options which you'll have to get far enough in the game to discover. -Exploration- The exploration is acceptable, but you'll get this feeling of sensation that there could have been more in terms of obstacles, puzzles, and even boss battles. Near the end, it will become bland & boring enough that you'll just want to speed-run over to the next town for your next badge. 4. Soundtrack The soundtrack is above average. The music composers have really earned their phrase this time. You'll come back listening to more, and might even stop mid-game just to listen. 5. Personal Enjoyment What I really love about Nintendo is that they know how to program their games. They also treat everyone by focussing on gameplay before story, so it makes it feel like it's worth your money when you do a second playthrough. And there's so much you can do in this game that it makes it worth every bit of your money. I got my 70 hours worth. My only complaint is that Nintendo Wi-Fi was shut down since writing this review, so there's no more online play, making it very difficult to get any of the Pokemon who are required to be traded in order to evolve. I also dislike how you need GBA cartridges of other Pokemon games for specific Pokemon to appear in Platinum at all. 6. Overall Verdict This game definitely holds replay value. It also manages to give you a satisfiying ending after all the hardwork put in. And that is why Pokemon Platinum deserves a 9 out of 10! This is the best game I've ever played for Nintendo DS thus far, and is a must-buy, especially for those people who have yet to move onto the next generation. Even then, Pokemon Platinum is a game that should be saved instead of destroyed.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not you should buy this game. A lot of things to say but can't due to the 5000 character limit. We are on the final patch of this game, and the game is still frustrating as hell! Did Bethesda fix the bugs? No! Is it still crashing every 30 minutes after 80 hours of gameplay? Yeah! Do quests get bugged to the point where they don't proceed? Pretty soon no ones going to give a **** about what Bethesda makes any more. No ones gonna wanna buy their products because they can't program their games correctly, especially not for PS3. Skyrim should never have come to this console!!! 1. Story The story is set in the province of Skyrim, where the dormant dragons are suddenly returning. The end days have been prophesied and only Dragonborn can stand up to it. You begin the game a prisoner in Helgan, where you get to customize the visuals of your character. Destined for the chopping block, a dragon attacks & destroys Helgan, and you managed to break free. What happens next is up to you. 2. Voice Acting Finally, a Bethesda game where voice acting can be phrased! From small conversations to large meetings, they are filled with rich detail has you are believing every word they say, even if they don't always lip-sync correctly. 3. Graphics and Visuals One thing I noticed about Skyrim is that there is a lack of emotion on most of the characters faces. They all just look downright neutral all the time. But as for the attack visuals, magic, scenery, and everything else, the graphics are as good as it's going to get for this generation. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to the Battle System, Customization & Level Up, and various areas you explore within the game. Put it all together and it's awesome! -Battle System- There are going to be a lot of battles in this game, and you'll be given many different ways on how to deal with the situation. You have your choice of Axes, Swords, Daggers, Greatswords, Shields to an extent, Magic, and many more. The Role-Playing element in this game is mostly gone and leans towards more of an Action element, but that doesn't mean that the battles aren't fun. -Customization- Despite it's variation, the customization doesn't feel right. You can essentially become a god in this game once you max out Smithing, Alchemy, and Enchantment. It feels unbalanced. Aside from that, you can wear any armor piece you want, use any weapon, it's all there. Some things are done right, other things are done wrong. The average fan will be satisfied with this result... -Exploration- Easily the best part about this game! You actually want to explore because it feels interesting, and there's a lot of areas to look around in. Dungeons don't ever feel generic either despite some having the same artwork. But the enemies for the most part are swapped up, which further adds to the experience. 5. Soundtrack The music feels rich and high quality, almost as if it set itself up to be put in a game that would be for the ages. It's a shame because these tracks deserved to be in a better game or at least a game that's safe from bugs. 6. DLC Don't even think about it! Anyone who buys DLC is an idiot because you gave into Bethesda's master cash-in plan! The promised to fix the bugs, but instead they added DLC. They have not earned the satisfaction to take our money with additionals when they couldn't even deliver us the original product. And even if you do download them, your playing time gets chopped in half! Your files will begin crashing & bugging much earlier. 7. Bugs & Glitches Oh my god... The amount of bugs that flood this game is ridiculous! Your game will begin to crash randomly after 80 hours of gameplay, and you will get stuck on loading screens even before then. Quests don't proceed properly or come to a halt by picking the wrong actions. It's just a nightmare. 8. Personal Enjoyment Even without bugs and glitches I realize this isn't a perfect game. How do I put this without giving away spoilerd... hmmm... In the Civil War questline, it's all offence and no defense. Both the Thieves Guild questline and the College of Winterhold questline have an unsatisfactory aftermath. The game does have some fun moments, but isn't worth what happens after. 9. Overall Verdict Bethesda might have promised to fix some of the bugs, but that still doesn't excuse how the game was at release, and how it took over a year for them to fix some of the issues. And instead of fixing them all, they added DLC. The damage has been done! No one should play the PS3 version of Skyrim. The overall verdict is a 5 out of 10. The sour experience drops the epic down to an average game.

Oh no! You'd have to pay me to play this game again! This is what I'm supposed to review next, to deem whither it's buy-able or should be destroyed. Well I say **** the review! My experience was so bad that I don't need to relieve these nightmarish memories. So instead of a review: you're all going to get an angry rant! **** this game! Right off the bat, it breaks it's Dragon Age formula by cloning Mass Effect's conversation wheel into the game, and revealing the results of your options through icons. It even displays what the icons are in the official manual of Dragon Age II; leaving no mystery or excitement through any of the conversation options you pick. But it get's worse.. the torture continues to grow when you learned that even a monkey with brain damage could complete the game. All you have to do is mash a button, and you win! That's it! There's no strategy or tactics for survival. There's no fear in combat when you go against a giant ogre! What's the point of having a tactics menu when you don't need to implore them? Scratch that -- What's the point of this game??? Let's see what else went wrong here... - You're in the same ******* city the entire game! - There is no exploration! You see this big island, and you wanna go look around, but you only get to visit a few of the areas! And the areas given to you are small, and often blocked off with invisible walls!! What's worse is you visit the same locations 5 or 6 times the entire game, sometimes 10! And that's not even the dungeons... - Many dungeons in this game are a copy/paste. You visit the same areas the entire game, and Bioware has the nerve to give each dungeon a separate name. - Hawke is constantly babysitting their family, their friends, and catering to people they've only known for 10 seconds! You will feel less & less involved in the story as it progresses, and almost all characters have no personality and are otherwise boring! - The graphics have gotten worse! - The soundtrack has no memorable tunes! - The weapon & armor customization is teasing you! You can design your own attire, but can't design the rest of your party's attire. - Romance serves no purpose in this game. - The voice cast ****! - The entire game is one big chore to play! - Importing has little impact from the decisions you made from the previous game. - Story battles that are supposed to be epic are hyped in the wrong proportion. I hate this game! And I wish Bioware never published it! They really messed it up this time! And I have no idea what else to say without revealing spoilers. -Sigh- Does it do anything right? Hardly! All they did was make it playable for everyone, which also is a fault in itself. The entire game just feels rushed because of a deadline. You'll feel like it should be so much more, but it's just going to crash your dreams. This game should just be avoided entirely, or used as a future example for gaming companies on what you should not do in an rpg game. The positives in this game are over-encumbered by the negatives, and it's just not worth it. I won't waste any more time with this flopped game. Buy it if you want, but I guarantee it's going to sour your experience.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. After having to review two other wrestling games for GameCube, a third times a charm. Despite the game not being perfect, Day of Reckoning 2 makes the cut. Don't even bother going to the original Day of Reckoning -- this is where the action's at! 1. Story The story continues 11 months after the original Day of Reckoning game (Raw brand) where the World Heavyweight Championship gets vacated. Things happen, but can't say what those "things" are due to spoiler-free review, so let's just say you wind up wrestling your way towards the goal of getting "your" championship back. Day of Reckoning 2 comes with a bada$$ intro to top. For once, a story in a sports game is well-written, and well all know that sports games aren't renown for story-telling, and having romance in Day of Reckoning 2 makes it all the more skeptical. But this will turn out quite well. Finally, you feel involved because you get to make your own decisions in the story that affect the type of matches you play, even if it's only for one or two of them. 2. Graphics and Visuals The graphics are amazing in this game, and finally Nintendo has facial expressions. But In terms of wrestling moves, not much that has improved. It's still the same animations from the previous games all copied & pasted over. 3. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat & matches, and customization. Put it all together and it's average. -Combat- In some situations, it doesn't feel like you're playing a different game. But you know it's a different game because you can kick out of a pinfall with a low durability stat and a red body part! The main focus of this game is momentum or spirit meter over damage. Yep, that's right! As long as your meter is yellow, orange, or red, and you're a decent A-button tapper, you cannot be pinned! You can still lose to submission moves though. So the combat follows a system that slug-fest dummies aren't going to appreciate. Now here's the fault: the longer a match goes on, the faster you and your opponent will gain momentum. At a certain point, gaining a red meter will be a cakewalk for both sides, causing the match to go on forever without submission moves! This will be very frustrating for PvP matches. There's also a stamina system present in the game, which you have to constantly keep track of as you're doing moves, because if that ever hits 0, you are gonna be ****** so hard. At 0 stamina, you will constantly pause and not be able to do anything, and defending yourself becomes much more difficult. -Customization- The amount of customization options in this game looks impressive, but is actually a nightmare! You will constantly go through a loading screen any time you want to modify a single piece of equipment on your created superstar. Customizations that should only be about 5 minutes will wind up being 30 minutes, which is completely unfair. 4. Soundtrack Hats off to the soundtrack of this game, even if it can be a bit tiring for some people. These tunes fit decently for a video game atmosphere to the point where they don't feel repetitive. 5. Bugs & Glitches The AI tagetting system in this game during Triple Threat and Fatal-4 Way matches is broken. All AI's for some unknown reason, will stop whatever they're doing, and immediately attack player 1. And this will happen every match where 3 to 4 superstars are present. Oddly enough, it won't do this when a second player is present. The AI targeting will magically work during 2-player games. 6. Personal Enjoyment How hard is it for wrestling companies to play-test their games? For crying out loud! Following the logic of "You gotta get this game out NOW!" doesn't work well for rating! Any gaming company reading this: don't do this to your fans! The PS3 era is a perfect example of why games should never be released pre-maturely. Nobody will wanna buy your ****ing games if you keep delivering terrible products. Day of Reckoning 2 feels unfinished because of the crappy AI targeting, cookie-cut animations, and broken momentum system. 8. Overall Verdict Fans might have expected more from this console era, but least it was given a valid attempt. Despite the issues, the game does hold up, it does have replay value, it does have a worthwhile story, and the wrestling is arguably passable. Verdict is a 7 out of 10. For Nintendo GameCube, this is as good as wrestling is gonna get.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. If you're here only looking for small comments rather than a full review then here it is: WWE WrestleMania XIX is a disappointment. If you're looking for actual wrestling then you should move onto another WWE game. Now for full review.... 1. Story Sports games have never been a winner at telling stories, and that trend continues here. The story mode in this game is called "Revenge". In the beginning, you are fired by your boss, Vince McMahon, for absolutely no reason. Stephanie McMahon will then contact you and offer a chance at demolishing everything Vince has ever built by sabotaging props of Wrestlemania XIX. During the game you will throw WWE staff into traffic, vandalize cars, and reek the kind of havoc that would otherwise land you in prison. 2. Voice Acting There isn't much voice acting to work on, but what is there feels like it was **** together out of desperation. Stephanie McMahon sounds like a computerized speak-and-spell. There is really nothing worth listening to here. 3. Graphics and Visuals The graphics are as laughable as can be, even for a game made in year 2003. But these downgraded graphics allowed the developers to focus on other things, like advanced customization, and the street fighting in this game that they call wrestling. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat & matches, customization, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it's above average! -Combat- The wrestling is solid, but is poorly implemented. Having a light and heavy grapple system opens up more opportunities for strategy and comboing, which you'll need during PvP. And the game gives you the control layout in the pause menu, which is pretty cool. You can slam or punch your opponent, or just get out a weapon and start wailing on them. You even do really cool moves at the turnbuckle or ring corner. But it feels like a lot of this game, when it was in development tried focussed on getting its ratings through PvP, because that is where the real fun is at. However, there is no multiplayer in Revenge mode, only Exhibition, and you cannot unlock anything for playing Exhibition, resulting in it being unbalanced. Revenge mode almost never takes place in a ring, so all these moves you have can never be utilized. -Customization- The customization is superb! You're given lots of variety, and can change your move-set at any time. But.... (yep, there's another "but") the character creation is something to be feared due to it's confusing menu scaling and lack of graphics. Perfectionists will wind up taking more time than needed, creating the character they want. 5. Soundtrack Are you a fan of techno club music? Because that is what you'll be hearing the entire game menu. Whether or not it's a good thing is for you to decide. During gameplay, it will repeat the same 5'ish tracks throughout any match or mission. 6. Bugs & Glitches All though the bugs are tiny and low priority; it still happened. After playing Revenge mode long enough, I would constantly hear a wind-blowing sound that wouldn't go away, even during loading screens. Had to fix it by resetting the game. This is the only bug that happened during my playthrough. 7. Personal Enjoyment The most fun I had with this game was playing as Stacy Keibler and giving a security guard a nosebleed for shaking booty. You know it's video game formula when you can play as a diva and beat up full-grown men. That is something I like. What I don't like is that 95% of the gameplay is spent outside the wrestling ring, and that Revenge mode is only 2 to 3 hours long. It uses the WWE name, the Wrestlemania name, and it's shiny*** roster of superstars to lure players in, and has them believe that this will be a great wrestling game, as evidence shown by the in-game intro. But in reality, turns out to be a bunch of street brawls. There is little-to-no replay value for those who don't have any friends. Putting in multiplayer is fine, but there needs to be something for the solo players in order to keep them hooked to the game. 8. Overall Verdict It has good ideas, but I just can't support WWE Wrestlemania XIX for gamecube as a full-fledged wrestling video game. Does it deserve to be destroyed? No, of course not. It isn't the worst wrestling game. But fans looking for the nostalgic retro feeling will notice how lacking it is. Originally rated this a 6, but am now rating it a 5 out of 10. THQ and Yukes can do better than this, and we know they can.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. The user score has been trolled -- not by me, but by others. The evidence is by clicking on the other reviewers profiles (which you can't by the way). Amazing how fake accounts can really shine a rating! Anyway, I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about WWE Day of Reckoning! And wow, it's an epic trash dump! Epic because you know you wanna see it, and it's cool at first. But then it begins to ruin itself after 10 hours of gameplay. 1. Story The story looks beautiful. But does it stay that way? **** no! It opens up with you having to create your character, because the game won't let you take a pre-made superstar into the story. You start off in the jobbers league, off television, doing dark matches, and gradually working your way up until you are promoted enough for some airtime. Now that sounds cool! But after you get halfway through the story, you'll begin to notice that the story given doesn't really involve you at all. It's just one big giant gauntlet of matches with an objective every now and then, sugar-coated by a pitiful story and unnecessary cut-scenes. The game's roster is so small that you wind up wrestling the same guy 5 times, sometimes 3 times in a row. Your character doesn't grow any testicles until near the end -- which you'll have to play the entire story to understand what that means. You make only one decision in this story, and that's it. Now the story itself does contain elements that will make you wanna keep playing. You'll be hung in suspense many times, and will wanna find out what happens next week. However, for reasons stated above, the replay value is greatly penalized. Criticism has been earned. 2. Graphics and Visuals The graphics, though not at their best for 2004, are still pretty good. The animations of all moves are amazing to watch. And the visuals after a weapon breaks will be unsuspecting. 3. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat & matches, and customization. Put it all together and it's below average! -Combat- The wrestling's Quick Grapple and Strong Grapple moves deserves phrase because it opens up many combing possibilities. The high-flying moves are decent, as well as the running, and turnbuckle moves. You are given a lot of variety for beating down your opponent. Despite this; the wrestling is unbalanced, and feels like it's missing elements that should be there. For example; once you receive enough damage it will take forever to stand up! Second, the longer a match plays out, the faster everyone's finisher meter will fill, making the charisma stat somewhat pointless. Third, submissions and hold moves drain your opponents momentum meter much faster than any other move, making them an ideal choice over all others during singles matches. It feels like a step backwards overall in gameplay. -Customization- A lot of customization here for creating your character -- which is a good thing considering it makes you do that before you can enter story mode. Because of the variety, it won't feel like a chore creating characters. Pretty sad that this is the best part of the game. 4. Soundtrack The music is great, but the way it's introduced won't be! You're listening to the same songs over & over again, songs that are normally played at a rock concert. THQ thinks this is cool, but it's not! After enough time has passed, you'll get sick of the tracks, and turn off music completely. 5. Personal Enjoyment So many pointless things exist in this game to piss you off. Like why is there a referee in the cage with you during a Steel Cage match when Pinfall and Submission is disabled? Why does the referee attack you using Stone Cold Steve Austin's moveset when DQ is turned off? What's the point in Bra & Panties matches when it plays no role in anything? Why do Smackdown superstars exist in the Raw storyline? Why can you set up objects on the turnbuckle but you can't actually throw your opponent through said object? Why can't you use the steel cage as a weapon during a Steel Cage match? Why does the Royal Rumble match instantly end if all players have been eliminated? Why are there no backstage brawls during gameplay at all? Why can't pinfalls & submissions count anywhere during a Hell in a Cell match? And why do submission finishers do a ridiculous amount of damage compared to all other finishers? All of these things DON'T MAKE SENSE! 6. Overall Verdict Wrestling fans should just move on and not bother with this game, however I can't say that it's a bad game because it does some things right, despite doing many other things wrong. The verdict is a 4 out of 10.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. In the interest of fairness, the review is based on without an import or DLC. 1. Story 2 years have passed since Commander Shepard (character you play as) ended Sovereign's invasion along with the threat of the Geth. But the war with the reapers has just begun. In the beginning, the Normandy get's attacked & destroyed, with Commander Shepard sacrificing themselves in process in order to save his/her crew. Their body is then recovered by an underground terrorist organization known as Cerberus, where they eject billions of credits in order to bring Shepard back from the dead. A new enemy known as the Collectors has revealed itself overtime, and Cerberus tasks the newly born Shepard to bring them down before they wipe humanity from existence. But will Shepard be able to gain trust from his/her squadmates, and successfully adapt to the new atmosphere that surrounds them? 2. Voice Acting This is what we need for voice acting! This is perfect! I have never heard such a beautiful cast in like ever! When the actors & actresses speak, you're believing it, and it brings tears to your eyes because you never thought this would ever be possible. 3. Graphics and Visuals Sometimes the frame rates go a little slow; and when that happens, you begin to notice a little bit of fuzzyness of pixels. But when it doesn't happen, it is astounding! Galaxy maps are detailed to the core with colourful design. Areas you explore during combat are never bland or boring to look at. The sci-fi textures are pushed to it's limit. If this art doesn't impress you, nothing will! 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to it's battle system, customization & level up, and the galaxy map exploration. Put it all together and it's Awesome. -Battle System- There are plenty of areas to take cover at all times. Every weapon in this game is deadly enough or usable in some way. Boss enemies are balanced, provide a challenge, and get introduced to you at the best possible timing. The game is very balanced. Of course it can be annoying when all your powers are on charge and you have a krogan coming after you at close range, but this still adds to the experience. As you play on, you'll have to develop strategies and come up with tactics just to get through areas. -Customization- You get plenty of variety in this game, form the class you choose to play as, the character's appearance, even their armor will change visually. The weapon variety however will feel limited, but it's all due to balancing. When you finally acquire them, the game gives you plenty of squadmates. Customization will not feel dead here. -Galaxy Exploration- Exploring the galaxy is only fun on your first playthrough, and it can't be explained why in this review due to spoilers. From 2nd playthrough and beyond, it will be boring, fortunately not boring enough to deduct from the experience. 5. Soundtrack And yet, another amazing thing done with this game. Though it does kind of feel empty having no music when walking around most of your ship. The mood music for cut-scenes was chosen excellently, and more-so after you finish a mission you'll really feel like you've accomplished something. 6. Bugs Even the most perfect of games seems to be hit in the PS3 era, and there's one bug that is the most evil of them all: corrupted saves. It's happened to me, and it's happened to many other players. And then there's these bugs... - The galaxy map will play itself twice if you exit to the Normandy and re-enter the map quickly. - Storyline cut-scenes do not proceed sometimes, forcing you to reload a save. - Sometimes loading screens will take 3 times longer than they should. 7. Personal Enjoyment I have done so many playthroughs by now that I've lost count. This game packs an experience that you will never feel anywhere else. 8. Overall Verdict The only thing that's holding this back from a perfect rating is the corrupted saves. Even the other bugs aren't that bad because of the amount of auto saves given, and because crashes don't happen often. Mass Effect 2 earns it's high rating, and I am going to issue this a 9 out of 10! This game deserved to be Saved instead of destroyed. Nice one, Bioware! Keep up the good work!

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. First off, this game isn't for dummies. If you came here expecting to find easy & casual play, requiring no thought process whatsoever, your gonna die a lot! Not only is this an RPG game, it's also about Tactics, and Survival. Survival because you can permanently screw yourself by leveling up the wrong way, saving your game in a bad location, choosing dialogue options that can get your party members killed, or running out of healing items to deal with tough bosses. This game will show no mercy if you take it easy at any time. 1. Story The darkspawn are upon us! It is up to the Gray Wardens to slay thy enemy so that Ferelden may rest peacefully once again. How your story begins varies on the race you pick, and the class you chose to play as. How the story unfolds lies solely in the dialogue options you input. From righteous hero to a$$hole renegade, one thing is clear -- The archdemon must be exterminated. Now prepare yourself to journey a world of fantasy where chaos rules, and hope for survival continues to diminish every day. 2. Voice Acting Your party members are the only ones believable, which is a good thing considering you'll be with them the entire game. The rest of the side character show lack of enthusiasm overall, especially King Cailan. 3. Graphics and Visuals The graphics and animations are beautiful to look at. It's so easy to fall under a trance of this fantasy-like world when you take a look around. Every now and then though, you'll notice the odd pallets that haven't loaded when cut-scenes start, but it will quickly fix itself. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization & level up, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it's above average! -Battle System- The game will randomly spike up difficulties to in-human levels, and it will do this multiple times throughout your playthrough. Strategy tactics will be required for winning almost all battles, and guaranteed the final boss is going to destroy you if you're new to the franchise. Battles allow up to 4 characters in your party at a time, and you must be able to control all 4 of them at once while under stress. Because of the difficulty, combat never goes stale. Enemy continues to grow as you progress, so will always be one more challenging foe after another. Any one who clears the entire game without changing the difficulty to "casual" deserves phrase. -Customization- What is likeable about the customization is that there is a lot of moves to pick from regardless of whatever class you chosen to play as. Armor changes your character costume too as you equip them. And it is possible to build any kind of class you want. However, the dysfunctional inventory menu can leave players frustrated, and you wind up spending more time in this menu than you do in actual combat or exploration. -Exploration- You'll be exploring forests, mountains, underground caverns, ancient temples, and many more. The strong enemies will also give you plenty of time for exploration since you'll be taking your time through tactics. I am so grateful that the developers didn't put in blank empty rooms like every other RPG. It feels fun to explore a library after slaying abominations, or check out a tower once these darkspawn have been removed. Other companies should take notes. 5. Soundtrack It's all mood music here. It will sound beautiful at first, but because of how hard the game is, you will wind up spending 3x longer in a dungeon than you thought you would, listening to the same track for that period of time. It gets repetitive quickly. 6. DLC The DLC isn't worth the money, and you'll feel compelled to buy it any way when it flashes all over your main menu. Most DLC relates to the main storyline & doesn't feel like a spin-off, which in-turn further improves the experience. But even then it just feels like it was added to give players an item boost. For these reasons, I cannot give a recommendation as to whether or not you should buy any DLC. 7. Bugs & Glitches - Casual gamers! There is hope after all! A bug exists in Origins that lets you duplicate items, allowing infinite money and health potions. Google "Exploits Origins" for more details. - There is a bug involving Alistair and the main storyline depending on what you do during the Landsmeet. It can't be stated in this spoiler-free review, but it hurts the game play experience. 8. Personal Enjoyment The final battle is epic! It is a must-feel experience! The 60 hours you put into the game will be well worth it. 9. Overall Verdict I am proud to state that this game deserves to be saved instead of destroyed. Only being held back by bugs and bad inventory organization, Dragon Age Origins gets a 9 out of 10! Frigin awesome! It is a must-buy!

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. There will be no mentioning or comparison of the previous Fallout games in order to give NV a fighting chance. Oh yeah! New Vegas baby! Gonna drink me some whisky, play me some blackjack or slots, and- Wha- What just happened??? Oh.... no!!! The game crashed! But the final patch is installed!?! This can't be happening! Someone forgot to slap the developer in the face! Have mercy please! Unbelievable! There's a bug in every single area of this game! Tallied 18 crashes total! A whole month to complete. And even managed to find new bugs that weren't listed on the **** . But now it's all done, and I can bring you guys what is up with Fallout New Vegas. I am going to destroy this game! It hurts cause it's my personal favourite, but it has to be done. 1. Story Despite it's detailed lore, it's lacking. In the beginning, the Courier (character you play as) gets shot in the head by a man name Benny and leaves you to die. But then you are rescued by a robot named Victor. While being nursed back, you learn that you are a Courier in the Mojave Wastelands instructed to deliver a package to New Vegas city. Benny however, stole the package, and now it's up for you to get it back. From there, you make your own story by either helping or hindering the various factions & gangs you meet throughout the Mojave. It's awful because the Courier is given no background history, doesn't know where they're born, and the only way to find out anything involving the Courier's past is to buy the Lonesome Road DLC. The main story begins to cloud its plot-holes later by letting you pick any quest you want, but this doesn't excuse its flawed beginning. BUG: Quest characters may disappear, as well as dialogue not advancing , forcing you to reload a save. 2. Voice Acting The voice acting needs a little work. It's not all perfect. BUG: Characters don't move their mouths when they talk. 3. Graphics and Visuals The graphics are so low-rez, it's like looking at a 1970's comic book, and the scary part is it still crashes anyway. BUG: Character models heads twist around in a creepy fashion. Areas fail to load so you walk on blank palleting. NPCs sitting on a chair may not actually have their butts on the chair. Pipboy 3 Million displays itself at an awkward angle for female characters. It's just one graphical glitch after another. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization & level up, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it's awesome! -Battle System- When it's not crashing, you have a really good battle system. You can play stealthy, snipe them, run in guns blazing, place frag mines down and have your foes run into them as they chase you, send your companions after them to take the heat for you, or just blow them up with a Missile Launcher. So many ways to play this game - one of the few things that gives replay value another attempt. BUG: Companions might permanently lose any items in their inventory that you give them, including weapons. -Customization- Weapons have a Strength stat requirement in order to use it without suffering heavy recoil, which is a really good balancer. Weapons also can have mods attached. But.... the amount of mods available is limited assuming you can find them, and armor customization will feel too generic for a game this advanced. And without beginning the game with a high intelligence stat you won't be very powerful in the future without DLC. BUG: Some DLC perks don't work. -Exploration- The exploration is like sticking a perfect record into the machine only to pull it out and find a big scratch on it! Sure it looks beautiful at first, but along with the graphical glitches, you are in constant fear of the game crashing while traversing the Mojave, which seriously takes you out of the moment, The Mojave also doesn't feel as big as it could be. 5. Soundtrack Surprisingly; the soundtrack is excellent, both radio stations and generic wise. You'll definitely be feeling a grove when walking into the casinos. 6. DLC Bethesda takes something that everyone wants, which is lvl cap increase, and strong weapons, and puts it behind it's crap DLCs, Lonesome Road and maybe Honest Hearts are the only good DLCs, the rest are highly forgettable. 7. Bugs & Glitches **** this game! **** this game in its mouth! Auto-saves not working! 250 hours of this ****! 8. Personal Enjoyment No words left to describe how angry I am at this point. 9. Overall Verdict Fallout New Vegas isn't worth the bargain bin. Games that don't work should never be put on the market. And that is why I am issuing the PS3 version a 3! It gets 3 out of 10! It hurts because I would have enjoyed this game, but the bugs make it unplayable. No one should buy this game.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. So I noticed that the user score for this game has been drilled in the *** compared to critic score. The user reviews show a lot of 0/10 for the "Negative" side. Thought nothing of it at first, but then I decided to click on the accounts and discovered that at least 9 of them are troll accounts, created specifically for the sole purpose of bringing Diablo III's user rating down. Names can't be listed so the review can't be flagged, but you trolls know who you are, and you should be ashamed. Diablo III is a damn good game! Don't let the false rating fool your eyes. 1. Story The story plot kind of builds itself up in the middle of Act I, and give you very little prologue other than the opening clip to work with. Nothing can be stated here without giving spoilers. What can be said is you'll will be dropped into a town plagued by zombie attacks, and the lords of hell will rise again if you don't do anything to stop it. WARNING: If this is your first playthrough, it's highly recommended to play offline or only in a private session with your friends. In a public session, other players can skip the cut-scenes and ruin any story enjoyment you might have had. Only after you are finished with the story should you play publicly. 2. Voice Acting What do you get when you put Jennifer Hale and Crispin Freeman in the cast? The best voice freakin voice cast ever! That's what!! Not just them, but the entire casts put their hearts into voicing these scenes and you'd feel like a lying jerk for saying anything otherwise. All characters you play as, gender & class, have a different voice over, bringing more to the flavour. 3. Graphics and Visuals Graphics are passable. Not much else to say. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to the Battle System, Customization & Level Up, and various areas you explore within the game. Put it all together and it's awesome! -Battle System- At first you're just mashing a single button to kill enemies, and combat overall is stiff. You can roll but can't sidestep. You have over 20 spells or special attacks dependant on your class but can only equip 1, 2, or 3 at a time (highly recommend you have "Elective Mode" from the options menu turned on), and will have to swap moves in the menu if you ever want to change it. Penalties on death are severely lacking without "Hardcore mode" turned on since equipment durability means nothing when you make riches with just 1 dungeon. The excitement doesn't pick up until around the end of Act I. But somehow, all the above manages to fit nicely! The system is fairly balanced, and gives you 32 combined difficulties to choose from. I'm not joking. -Customization- Each equipment changes costume of character, and can be dyed. How cool is that! Equipment can also breaks but takes a while. Now what isn't cool is the dysfunctional inventory menu which will confuse anyone who isn't used to video game mechanics. Fortunately anyone who finds it a hassle can turn on auto-equip from the options menu. -Exploration- Dungeons are randomized every time you play and won't go dull like the combat system. 5. Soundtrack No memorable tracks, put on your own tunes for this game when not using a microphone online. 6. Online Play The rules of online play! Here we go! #1. Game is microphone compatible. #2. As stated above, if you are playing for story, create a private session with friends or play offline! Don't expect any story, as all other players will skip cut-scenes and block any dialogue. #3. Games on 4-Player is chaotic! Bodies will fly everywhere! Enjoy those sessions because without friends they won't happen every often. #4. There is no "kick" or "dismissal" button this game. The only way to remove someone you don't want in your session is to remove everyone by temporarily switching off the online play, then back on. Switching to LAN also works. #5. Along with rule #4, players can enter your session and leech. Beware of those players who go idle for too long as every time you kill something or complete a quest still gives them exp for doing nothing. 7. Personal Enjoyment A lot of games have become way too realistic nowadays. Diablo III however manages to stay true to it's fantasy-like formula, which is what video games should be about. It took 4 days for me to complete the story, so the average person who goes to work or school will be on the story for 2 to 10 weeks. Amazing experience. 8. Overall Verdict Finally, a PS3 game for the ages! And marks the first game that I save instead of destroying it on metacritic. Diablo III gets an 8 out of 10, and earns my approval! Everyone should have a copy of this game, regardless of what game style you're into. If you don't have it yet then pick it up because this is one game you won't feel embarrassed to show off.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. The review is based on the original Fallout 3 game for PS3, without DLC. 1. Story In the beginning, you are growing up with your father in an underground bunker called a Vault, located in the north-western parts of Washington D.C. As you grow up it gives you the various tutorials on how to play the game. Once it's done, **** hits the fan, and your father leaves the vault with no explanation. The story revolves around you, the Lone Wanderer, trying to find your father in the Capital Wasteland, a world that was desecrated by nuclear war. Now as you get further in, the story won't feel all that interesting compared to other video games you may have played, but by the end it will feel like it has a meaning. 2. Voice Acting Unfortunately most of the voice acting isn't all that great. In fact, it unbalanced! Super Mutants sound constipated when talking. Civilian and town resident voice lacking enthusiasm in anything they do or say. Even the voice actors of the raiders and robo mechs have more believability than the characters you speak to during the main storyline. Guess that what happens when you have to roleplay 30 different characters in a single game: you get tired of it. Fortunately, it won't take you out of the Fallout moment. 3. Graphics and Visuals Gameplay was put before the graphics this time. Even in HD it still has the looks of an original Xbox or PS2 game. While some areas are withstand-able to look at, other areas are downright ugly and can take you out of the Fallout 3 moment. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to combat, customization & level up, and various areas you can explore within the game. Put it all together and it's deserves the highest rating possible! -Battle System- There are many different ways you can play the battle system in this game. You can play stealthy, snipe them, run in guns blazing, place frag mines down and have your foes run into them as they chase you, or just blow their guts out with the good-old fashion Missile Launcher. And these are just examples. You'll find other ways to play this game, each tactic feeling more satisfying as the other. -Customization- The customization looks pretty but the level up system is quite broken. Any perks that give you a skill point increase with no special ability is essentially worthless! And if you don't level yourself correctly, you can easily screw yourself in the worst possible fashion! A sour taste is left in your mouth at lvl 20 when you realize you should have picked this "perk" at level 5 or 10. You'll wind up having to do multiple playthroughs just to get the perfect stats that you desire, leaving you frustrated in between. -Exploration- Though the graphic aren't great to look at, the exploration was. It's an epic feeling to enter an abandoned building or subway to find what's inside. When traversing the overworld, you are in constant pressure of being attacked by various dangers of the wasteland! Areas that may feel bland & boring can change at a moments notice as some nasty creature spawns from nowhere and forces you to utilize your survival tactics. Any game that makes you feel that much suspense deserves phrase! 5. Soundtrack The soundtrack is highly forgettable, including the radio stations! No disrespect to music legends such as The Ink Spots, Jack Shaindlin, and many others, or Bethesda for making the generic music, but none of these tracks fit in a shooting game. Fortunately it gives you the option to turn off the music all-together so it isn't that bad. 6. Bugs & Glitches This is where the experience destroys you! They're everywhere! ... EVERYWHERE!!!! Bugs existing in every single quest. Bugs that still aren't fully listed on **** . If it didn't trigger on your first playthrough, it will be waiting for you on another playthrough! Without spoilers, here are some game ruining bugs that can happen to you... - Friendly NPCs will randomly become hostile even though you didn't wrong them in anyway. - Big Town residents found dead inside their houses. (not outside) - NPCs missing dialogue, or won't talk upon interaction. - Game frequently crashing when traversing the Wasteland!!! - Quest characters disappearing from the game, making the quest impossible to finish. - Companions disappearing from the game, with no way to hire new ones. 7. Personal Enjoyment Completely gone when the bugs start. 8. Overall Verdict While the game has some amazing ideas, it flaws from massive bugs even after it's final patch. It's a shame for a masterpiece to become a disaster. For this reason alone I cannot give a recommendation to you consumers as to whether or not you should buy this game. The overall verdict is a 6 out of 10. With each bug experience being different, buying this game will be at your own risk.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. A lot of things to say, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. I will not be giving it a 2007 PC baby booster because ultimately people what to know what to spend their money on. PS3's release was in 2012 and as such will be judged by those standards. 1. Story Plain & simple: you are Commander Shepard. Your task is to stop Seren before he finds the Conduit and brings back an alein-machine race known as the Reapers. The story has you so involved, Shepard themselves won't speak unless you pick a dialogue option. It's a comfortable approach because it allows the gamer to progress through the story at their own pace. Now granted some of the choices don't exactly fit with what will actually come out of Shepard's mouth, and some of the choices will lead to them saying the same thing anyway. But I promise it will try to reel you in. 2. Voice Acting What you'll love about this game is that even the unimportant side characters get voice overs instead of generic subtitles. Some voices are the same but it won't matter. I hope other companies follow this example and do this with their future games, especially for RPG and JRPG games. Voices overall are passable. 3. Graphics and Visuals There are some beautiful sites, but the graphics overall are nasty, and you have low-rez loading to thank for it. When entering new areas or beginning cut-scenes, characters and objects are still pixel-ating themselves. And when they are loaded it all looks like it's made of clay. 5 years later and Bioware doesn't even try to smooth them out. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to it's battle system, customization & level up, and the Mako driving. Put it all together and it's a mix of good & bad. -Battle System- The combat follows more of an RPG element than action ordinate. Headshots do the same damage as legshots, so its more about who has bigger numbers for damage & resistance. Don't play the higher difficulties at level 1!!! Shotguns have ridiculous range in this game. Only bad thing is sometimes the game stops you in the middle of combat just to load everything. -Customization- So much customization here for your class, weapons, and the points you can distribute when you level up. It's very generous, and deserves phrase it for letting you play how you wanna play. Inventory might be a mess though. -Mako- Here is value begins to deteriorate. The Mako, tank that you drive, is overpowered; the XP penalty won't stop people from using it. After driving across 3 empty boring planets you won't give a **** about the sidequests any more, as the vehicle feels like its moving in slow motion. Vehicle variety would have been nice. 5. Soundtrack There are a few memorable tunes in this game but overall the soundtrack isn't that great. Some of the music sounds exactly the same, never changing tones or notes from it's previous song. Even the good tunes just become background music. Now you can argue and say that these songs add to it's Sci-Fi atmosphere, but it's doubtful you'll be downloading any of them onto your Ipad soon. 6. Bugs Crashes Nobody is safe. Here's the list of bugs you will (not might) encounter on your playthrouygh(s). Only game ruining bugs will be listed. - The Mako can randomly get stuck though the map while driving. After 15 seconds you'll break free, only to teleport to a random part of the map including out-of-bounds zones which results in instant death. - Game randomly crashes during a loading screen after you do enough sidequests (punishing anyone who wants the Platinum trophy.) - The power trophies for Engineer and Adapt are bugged and may not unlock no matter how many times you use your powers. - Eden Prime has a red screen of death! You will enter a cut-scene, and then suddenly see your screen covered in redness. This results in 1 of 3 things after the scene is over: either everything will go back to normal, you will still be stuck with the red screen of death forcing you to reload a save, or the game will randomly crash! - Your squadmates are poorly programmed during hostile environments. I have witnessed them attack walls for 15 minutes when there were no enemies around. They constantly get in your way when you have to backtrack through a level. Squadmates will sometimes ignore your orders and do whatever they please. Finally the worst one, Wrex will randomly disappear during missions as if he was never in your squad to begin with, reducing your squad to just you and 1 other person. - After completing a main mission and then returning for a debrief, sometimes the cut-scene will skip before starting as if it never happened. 7. Personal Enjoyment 7 Playthoughs!!! 8. Overall Verdict PS3 verdict is 7 of 10. If you love guns and RPG then this is your game. If not then pick it up anyway because it's worth running though at least once especially now that the price has gone down.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. There's a lot of things to be said, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel is one of the most unsuspecting games you will ever play. I say "unsuspecting" because of its flaws in logic, plotholes, bug crashes, missables, and one of the worst combat systems I've ever played, which we'll get to later. The unsuspecting part is you will want to see this game though. It's fantasy-like story will pull you in with it's amazing voice acting, and in-depth conversations which are mostly optional. But make no mistake, there is little-to-no hope in this title. 1. Story The games story isn't all too bad and does a good job at reeling you in. Even the logic of Reyvateil's stripping to get more power was well-done. It isn't until later in the game where plotholes begin to open up. And be careful when doing a New Game+ because by god, you press that circle button even one time, just a single push, it will fast-forward all cut-scenes from there on out until you can traverse the overworld or whatever the last dungeon or town you were in. You get to watch all text bubbles move around as if it were having a computer error, because that really makes more sense than actually skipping the scene..?? 2. Voice Acting Most easily the best part about this game. When the scenes were actually voiced, which is like I don't know... 60% of the time(?) you are hearing angels humming. Each role played perfectly, and I can find no flaws in any of the english voice actors or actresses. 3. Graphics and Visuals The avatar pictures will be more fun to look than the actual character models. Lack of design in every area but towns. 4. Gameplay Gameplay refers to the battle system, item synthesis, cosmosphere, and various areas that you explore during gameplay. Put it all together and it's an epic fail! -Battle System- So sickening! Release this type of battle system for even the original Playstation console and your Playstation would rebel against you and then punish you by spitting the disc out with scratches on it for making you load its awful combat frame rates. So many things are wrong in something that you will have to spend 50% of the game doing, and I can't speak of it all because this review isn't marked with spoilers. The combat system is so simplified that it's uncooked. Every special move your vanguards learn will feel exactly the same. Enemy variety is low, you will spend 30 hours fighting the same enemies the entire game, just with different names. Boss enemies are severely lacking. And the Supermoves for each vanguard is eternally flawed for what happens after. -Item synthesis- Boring, basic, predictable. -Exploration- Empty areas with no creativity other than few early levels. Repetitive beyond belief. -Cosmosphere- This is all we have for gameplay, the only feature that makes the gameplay cut. Cosmosphere is a device that lets you dive into any of the heroines minds and explore a world that they themselves have created through their inner thoughts and feelings. Each time you dive in, you are presented with a sidestory where you yourself must complete in order to get closer to said heroine. This will cause the heroine to become even stronger in the real world, benefiting you greatly, and allowing you to end the travesties- I mean combat much quicker. In order to dive into deeper levels of a heroine's cosmosphere, you have to talk with them in the real world, which can be done by resting at an inn or save point. It feels like these stories were made by a horny highschool teenaged girl with a BDSM fetish. Probably not, but if you say one wrong thing in the Cosmosphere, you're gonna watch a special scene, and then get kicked out of the sphere. You will then have to spend more Leaf and DP to try again, which isn't much of a penalty. 5. Soundtrack I take it back. This is the best part about this game!!! Ar Tonelico Qoga comes with the type of soundtrack that makes you want to make a mix CD of, or finding the music files of it online to download onto your Ipad. Bringing its soothing tracks, outdoor adventures, indoor laboratories, and mood music for cut-scenes, each will play at impeccable timing. If anything makes you come back to this game it will be this. 6. Bugs Crashes The low-rez in this game is torture! My game has frozen twice when doing a purge. It froze once when trying to enter combat. And for some reason saving my game takes an extra minute. 7. Personal Enjoyment I didn't even want to do a New Game+ when it was all over! With story done, gameplay was left (oh no...) Forget DLC, I don't want to play any more. 8. Overall Verdict People give this 6 or 8, but from me you get a 4 out of 10. I feel embarrassed to recommend this to anyone other than hardcore fans. Only got points at all for its music, voice acting, and it's half-story.

I am The Destroyer. I will break games, complain about the littlest detail, and tell you whether or not the game is worth buying. And my wrath begins on Tales of Xillia, a JRPG game released in August of 2013. There's a lot of things I want to say here, but can't due to the 5000 character limit. 1. Story - The story in this game is nothing interesting, and it barely improves later on, and comes with the occasional potholes to boot. The good news is it still has enough gasoline in the tank to keep your curiosity in check, but if not for voice overs and beautiful animation saving its butt this would fall apart completely. - The sidequests are considerably "dead weight" to this game! They are extremely generic, basic, and stuff you've seen over 1000 times before, and you will most likely skip all dialogue with pride. 2. Voice Acting - Many reviewers think Minae Noji, english voice actress of Milla Maxwell, lacked enthusiasm. You see an angry picture of Milla in battle, screaming loud enough to knock down bowling pins, yet she's talking as if it were an ordinary boring day. So they're part right in that the voice acting never matched. Good news is it's not the worst acting you'll ever hear, and the rest of the characters, despite it's blandish story, will speak in words that makes you wanna follow them. 3. Graphics and Visuals - When the animations busted out it felt like you were watching a live tv show. Every cutscene, wither it'd be a full-on animation or regular scene, will look as epic as the last. My only complaint is that if you use a DLC costume on Milla, it might cover up things she wears during the story. 4. Gameplay - Gameplay refers to the battle system, customization & level up, and various areas that you explore during gameplay. When you put it all together it's average, and let me tell you why... -Battle System- There's a stamina system put in this game called AC (Assault Counter) where you can do as many moves and Artes attacks as you want until it hits 0. Then you must wait for about a second, and your AC will be fully restored. This opens up tons combo possibilities with your X and circle button, something which you will spend hours of enjoyment doing. But be careful when setting an Arte attack that involves pushing the circle button + up, because you'll sometimes jump instead of doing the actual move. With enough practice it will eventually no longer be a problem, but there are battle problems which can't be fixed: Enemy AI's are programmed to target player 1 before anyone else in order to keep the gamer "involved" so playing as a spellcaster early on in the game is impossible. 2-player; the camera auto-scrolls around the battlefield like a disco ball, messing up everyone's position, with no way to fix it. Finally, this game goes up to 4 players, but should never be played with more than 2 people at a time. The games new "Linked Artes Gauge" system has you link with an ally during battle to fill it up in order to use supermoves & Mystic Artes. But when you link with an ally another player is using, they essentially become braindead. They will automatically become an AI and will be unable to do anything until the link is broken. Single player will be more fun. -Customization and & Level Up- - Barely any until end game. However this game does earn praise for it's material system, where you collect materials to donate to shops in order to get better items & equipment for customizing. Quite possibly the most unique system you'll ever see. -Areas- Lazy design! Too many copy/pastes! Seahavens (ports), Dungeons, Inns, and especially the EX dungeon, all unbearable to look at. The areas that aren't cookiecut are mostly bland and boring to explore. Treasure Chest only give easy-to-find items over half the time, so you feel like there's no real reward for clearing them out. The game's sightseeing is a sugarcoat to what you can actually explore. After 5 dungeons you will notice the same repetitive pattern you've been following the entire game. 5. Soundtrack - The soundtrack might be overdoing it with it's multi-battles its got going for each character's story. But other than that, you will enjoy listening to the music that is provided. 6. DLC - Other than the free DLCs, the rest are nothing but plain cash-ins - A way for Namco to earn its few extra dollars while you feel con'd with attachments and costumes that you'll only use for a few battles. $3 for a costume isn't worth the money. Do not buy any DLC! You will only feel betrayed. 7. Personal Enjoyment - When the battles started, that's where the real fun began. I had loads of fun testing out Artes attack, Linked Artes, and chaining combos. That, and it's graphics are what I remember best about this game. Loses replay value though with Points of no Return. Overall Verdict My overall verict for Tales of Xillia is a 7 out of 10, a pretty good game. Pick this up if you are into JRPG games, but avoid if looking for Co-op
