Everyone knows that this splinter cell here is the second best, losing the king's crown only to chaos theory. The only one that comes close to this masterpiece is double agent xb360/ps3 version. Don't be fooled by the mediocre 7.7 rating this game definatelly doesn't deserve, is way better than Metal Gear Solid 5 (and I am a metal gear solid fan) the only downside to this game is I still don't get why it didn't release for my ps3 back then, only now with xbox series I had the opportunity to play it, and TBH, i think that the low ratings are from sony fanboys, I've alwas had a play station and I was confident with the platform strong exclusives, but 7.7 is way way low for this game. Outstanding graphics even for today's standars, the bathroom scene is still insane and beautiful, the game gives you a strong voice actings and very relatable characters, something quite close to the emotional level I've had when playing the last of us for the 1st time! Yes, I still think that the last of us is a better game here, for many obvious reasong, but where the last of us reaches a 11/10 score from me, splinter cell conviction is a no brainer for stealth and strong emotion storytelling fans, and it is a straight 10/10 game, it doest everything perfect. It has aged very well and it's formula is quite unique the way it introduces the oldfashion splinter cell mechanis with more dynamism, definatelly the second best splinter cell game, but with the best gameplay within the series, blacklist, though should receive this rating, funny thing, blacklist has 7.8 user score for ps3, and 7.5 for xb360, and as a ps3 owner, I must say almost any multiplatform runned way better on 360, mass effect 2, mafia 2, bayonetta, skyrim, just to name a few... So just because ps3 never saw conviction that doesn't mean it deserved that low score, it is the best along with chaos theory, and I must say it as a splinter cell fan! Putting aside dumb flame and console wars.

I don't think that 7.2 is a fair average user score for this game, since I have played far more broken and worse games with higher ratings! But i will not also give it 10 to create a "balance" i'm just being honest. I believe this game is a solid 8, just because of the same issue alan wake had back then! They promised us a 11/10 game, take for example cyberpunk and all the absurd hype it came along.... Remember the Alan Wake hype? The quantum break hype? Yes, pretty much all of them are 11/10 hype but that doesn't mean the game is 6/7.... either! Simply put. What the game promises most, it delivers, some key areas are a wasted potential, but the story, graphics, gameplay and the acting are top notch! A game must be fun, you may not find this game fun, but is even harder to find it tedious, because boredom is something you'll not find here! Quantum Break is by far the best xbox one single player exclusive game.

Do you remember of the past glory days of the Prince of Persia saga during the ps2, xbox original and gamecube era? SWTFO is EXACTLY what a prince of persia game should be on the current gen. SW has more fights and little less acrobatics, but that is the only thing that really separates both games. So if you miss a prince of persia title this is the closest experience you'll get, besides the fact that this is a Star Wars title.

I'll be short and simple here... I just bought this game in 11 of september, influenced by beyond's update reviews. These games below are my top 10 games of all time 1 No Man's Sky 2 Silent Hill 2 3 Skyrim 4 Sonic 2 5 Silent Hill 6 Mortal Kombat 2 7 Mario kart 64 8 Guitar Hero 3 9 Limbo 10 Mass effect 2 11 Half life 2 - just left top 10. Yeah, this game made me play 35 hours since day 11, today is 16 of september, being playing for 12 hours just today. This game is GOOD. Addictive, fun, full of magic. It has several technical issues, but still. You won't find anything like it. I stopped Outer Wilds to play this, and don't get me wrong. Outer Wilds is one heck of an indie game. But looking at what NMS is now and what is still going to be, there is nothing like it. Absolutelly nothing. If you like space opera, scifi stuff, minecraft and terraria crafting style, GTa, Mass Effect and Skyrim. You just owe to yourself this masterpiece. What started as a complete disaster, turned out being one of the biggest, if not the biggest comeback in the history of videogames. Man, what a plot twist.

Hollow Knight is that kind of easy to learn, hard to master game. It starts out as a simple Zelda alttp / Ori and the blind forest and it turns out to be even harder than Salt and Sanctuary, Ghouls n Ghosts and Dark Souls, but as a metroidvania it delivers more. This is a masterpiece title. It feels like Silent Hill 2, Ori, Super Metroid, supermeatboy, dark souls and castlevania are held together to offer you a metroidvania 2.0 exploration system. By far, the best metroidvania ever made.

I am a vet player, I have 33 yo, and I play since 4 with Atari 2600, I have a huge enormous collection of games, so for me to admire a game like this, is not easy, since I am a very hard to impress person, and here are my thoughts on dying light: Ridiculous amount of content, I spent over 150 hours on this edition, the following is a new whole game, entirely. Great story, top notch graphics, unmatched gameplay (Insane AI - best I've seen since Fear and Black & white), the game manages to deliver pure fun... It is by far the best videogame experience you can have at the 8th gen of consoles. Regardless of what anyone else will say... Forget The Witcher 3, God of War 4, Halo or whatever first party or RDR alikes... Dying Light is the definitive game of this console generation... until Dying Light 2, of course! It would be tough to surpass what the first game have accomplished, but if Techland manages to deliever a similar experience, only with small enhancements, it is fine for me.

Metro 2033 was really a new and fresh gem to the fps genre. An intense and fearsome game, with nice stealth tricks and outstanding atmosphere but where 2033 shines the last light fades... Don't get me wrong, Last Light it is still good but the 2033 is far superior. The Last Light has doubtful stealth moments, too much action for a survival post-apocalyptic situation, the game is easier than the predecessor and less intriguing, less challenging... The story is nice and the climax as well as its atmosphere remains true to its nature, but it doesn't even come close to the first metro greatness.

Anyone who is about to read my comment may find me as a hater. But let me say what I think. I honestly love horror/psychological and survivor horrors titles like Amnesia, Fatal Frame and Silent hill. People say this game is underrated! I honestly think it is overrated by some twin peaks fan! No offence... When I played the game for the first time I thought laughable, of course it is supposed to be ironic, the dialogues, the script, but what really left me discussed with this game is the terrible gameplay and horrific graphics... Some level design choices are worst than some play station 1 games... and I'm not pushing it! The whole game is laughable, but it is not laughable like evil dead when the movie is entirely ironic. This game tries to be serious at some points and that, I'm sorry, didn't bite me. Catherine is a surrealistic eccentric experience much more better! But deadly premonition is along with hell's vengeance one of the worst titles if not the worst title I played on my 360. I actually didn't like to be messed with my mind when I was actually just looking for gameplay fun! And this game doesn't deliver!

Read this well. This is the most frightening experience you will ever get with any kind of entertainment available. Simply put: it doesn't exists any movie, game, or whatever other thing around that can be scarier as this particular title. Amnesia the dark descent is simple the most scary, frightening, tense and everything phobic experience a human being can get in a lifetime. It is the macabre in such a level you never saw, it is insanely heavy, and will make your mind to have hallucinations you don't have the b@lls for the game... I thought I had, I am a horror fan and no movie ever scared me... Poltergeist, mehh, The ring, mehhh, The conjuring, mehhh, The exorcist, mehhh, all mehhh, I hardly find anything scary on movies... While Silent Hill 1 and 2 are both my top games of all time, and the scary parts count for that, it is not only because of that... Amnesia focuses on deliver fear, and it does better than silent hill, better than anything else. Amnesia is and will probably be for a long time the scarier and fearsome entertainment experience can provide by any means...

This is by far my favourite games franchise. Silent Hill is everything the horror movies can be and they are not when we talk about fear, tension and true scary moments. I always felt bored watching any kind of horror-suspense movie, whatever thriller already release or about the release in the future, it is simple not going to be or it is that grotesque, and horrifying. Amnesia, Soma, Layers of Fear, Silent Hill, all put together put all the horror movies to shame! I'll never forget the **** pants moments while playing Silent Hill for the first time... Silent Hill 2 is my favourite video game ever, yes, EVER. But the first one is a 10 too. Both are perfects, are great and uniques, they are all incredibly made, true masterpieces, and no other games will ever come close in subject matters, its story is incomparable. No mater what you will say about Mass Effect, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill is deeper, complex and better! "The fear of blood tends to create fear for the flesh"

This is not the critics favourite, since the sands of time for most of critics stands as one of the 20 best games of all time and though I love it too, I will stick with this one, thank you critics, but get your opinions for yourselves. Here is the thing. Technically this game is a mess, Warrior withing gave me so much headaches with it terrible bugs that I almost went crazy, and that alone is the only reason I don't give this game a 10. Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs every fu@#$ing where... Corrupted save games, impossible to finish the games and had to restart all over again... God how this game was BUGGED. But then I love it... Warrior within sets a visceral and a darker prince with an incredible level design and smart gameplay mechanics with OUTSTANDING soundtrack and blowing mind plot. Literally! "One step closer prince, two steps back"... I finished this game 12 years ago and it keeps fresh in my head just like the first videogame I played in my life, Pitfall for Atari, it is one of those games will you never forget because it is epic... it is just epic.

I remember the first time I got my hands on this game after bought my ps2 back in 2003. I was watching the CGI just waiting James to be playable, and inside that bathroom when the camera angle sets the third person view I was still thinking that was CGI… My brother thought it too, we looked at each other thinking that the game freezed, but then I touched the analog stick by accident and James moved… Me and my brother were like “Wooooow”… I am an old veteran to games, and I never felt that sensation again, perhaps with Skyrim in my 360 which got pretty close, but I am a Silent Hill fan since play station 1. Apart from the graphics, the story, the gameplay, which is not exactly perfect but it does its job, the story and plot are all tremendous… I finished it 4 times, and I would play this game 4 times more if I would have time, but I have so many good games to play that I cannot do this, not now! Silent Hill 2 is by far a true masterpiece, some sort of rare jewel that you are not gonna find never again in the industry, it is pure genius, it is smart and emotional, visceral and subtle, soft and heavy, carry tons of feelings and iconic characters… Silent Hill 2 is by all means possible, the best game ever made not because of it is quality as a game, just like I said it is not perfect. It is the best game ever made because you really enter the town, you feel like you are in there, without 3D glasses or the new VR technology, without all the actual gen possibilities with these sandboxes like titles... It is just psychological frightening to such a level that makes you wander the meaning of every inch explored in the game...

When I first played that game, back in 2008 was already late for me… The graphics was phenomenal even on xbox 360 when its full potential wasn’t reached yet. I didn’t even had an LCD television so I couldn’t play it in HD, I used my 360 AV/Component cable to play in 480p settings and even so, that game blew me away! I had so much fun because it is tense, it really scares you a couple of times and leaves that sensation of constant attention to what is going to happen next. Graphics, plot, soundtracks, everything in this game is top, but forget all that, the exact point where it really shines relies on its A.I.. I honestly feel disappointed as a gamer today in 2016 because when I saw how smart bots and enemies could be I thought that games would suffer big transformations on this aspect… If you see most of FPS now they don’t scratch the surface when it comes to A.I.. Just compare it with F.E.A.R. and you’ll realize that. For that reason F.E.A.R. is one of the best first person shooter to ever grace gamers in globe! Outstanding game!

Flawless and impeccable, the game had too much environment varieties, outstanding gameplay, challenging situations, and if you play in hard settings like me you'll probably enjoy it even more, because the game is asking for you to dare and beat it... The animations, the simple minded plot and yet heart warming, touching and emotional, the length, the graphics, the soundtrack... this game is top notch, few games have managed to reach that standard of perfection since I started played video games back in 89 with Atari. Ori is a masterpiece, a true achievement as a game as it is supposed to be, simply fun, fluid, charismatic, intriguing, full of emotions, and everything else good memories can bring back to an old school gamer, but a great adventure for this new generations of games too. Ok. Now that the hype has stopped, here I am 5 years later after finishing all DLC’s and the game ifselt 3 times. Yeah, I have a ton of hours put into this game, and I’m not even an rpg fan. I have played nearly 1000 games at the seventh generation, I’m not kidding, and I play since Atari. I’m 30 years old. Of course i haven’t finished all these 1000 games, I have plenty to play yet, Dust, deadlight, mark of the ninja, hitman absolution, stacking, bastion etc and etc…, but, I can obviously say, after 5 years, away from any hype, something that I already stated right at the first 10 minutes of gameplay! Skyrim is one of the best games ever made! I played Dark Souls franchise, many dark souls fans complains on skyrim as garbage, and I as a fan of both games have to say: I even have more hours spent in Dark Souls than in Skyrim simply because Dark Souls demands more exploration to understand its ties and plot, but c’mon! Skyrim is not just a game, is a total scream of pure art and vitality in the industry! Despite all the flaws, bugs, despite all that, that soundtrack is unmatchable and can be considered quite possibly the best OST to ever grace a videogame, it has the power of the god of war soundtrack with the celtic movements from zelda, it has that medieval pace that makes us wonder at the old nordic deities like Odin and Thor! THAT IS HOW POWERFUL the soundtrack is and the soundtrack alone is a fenomenal achievement at the finest quality music can ever get in the world. Gameplay lacks depth, mainly because it is third person strange system, while in first person you also have the feeling of being flying around the floor, but it remembers me of myst series. Hell, I LOVED MYST SERIES!!! The graphics are tremendous! While not the most realistic or the most circular wheel (yeah, there are a lot of polygons on the “wheels” and anti-aliasing effect is not the best out there) but it is by far one of the best looking game ever even today in 2016 with xones e ps4’s around… Skyrim has the type of graphics that will aways amaze us, no matter how old it gets, is like Ocarina of time, it is like chrono trigger or final fantasy 10, it is like Mario games, the graphics art style is everything in this game. The story though is forgettable, but even the plot has its moments, c’mon babe, you are the f@cking dragonborn! That doesn’t need a story, that game is telling YOU THAT YOU HAVE A **** DRAGON SOUL AND YOU ARE GONNA KILL THE BAD DRAGONS THAT WANTS THE WORLD TO END! How that does sound to you? Huh? Tell me? I play videogames since I was 4 years old, I started with Atari, I had master system, NES, SNES, genesis, neo geo, ps1, ps2, N64, I played in pc, and yes, Half Life 2 is my favorite pc game of all time, and it is in my top 10. Well, I still have my 360 and I still play skyrim sometimes, even after 5 years… Now I am playing Dark Should 3, and while this is probably the best game in this year (2016), because that is how I feel about these year titles, I still have the felling of game of decade when thinking about Skyrim! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is not only BY FAR the best of the very competitive 7th console generation (Portal 2, Batman AC, Uncharted, Gears of War, Modern Warfare etc etc etc…) Skyrim is one of the best games ever made! It tops Mario, it tops Castlevania SOTN, it tops any FF, it tops Chrono saga, Skyrim is in the same level as the old marios and zeldas, I am absolutely sure that Bethesda probably will never ever make an Elder Scrolls like these, except if a Skyrim continuation would come out, bringing at least the same things we just saw at this phenomenal masterpiece.

Ok guys. What to say about a game that combines the best elements from previous indie titles like Braid, Limbo, Journey, Trine, Little Big Planet into a one very specific and charming video game? And if I say that none of this titles had everything done right, but Yarny, oh man... I never thought that a platform game could be that touching! The puzzles are somehow easy, there are few challeging puzzles at times, and if you are in for a greater experience try all collectables and the game will please any hardcore gamer, like me, saying so it could last from 8 to 10 hours of gameplay which is good. I can't complain about lenght. Now, talking about its mechanics and gameplay, Gosh! How they are precise! The physics are so incredible, all the possibilities that you can create with yarny and its lassos, I only wished these possibilities could be used more. It is like the whole game scenario was a big box, but Yarny could always jump out of it due to its insane possibilities. That is the point I actually didn't gave it a 10 score. I wonder if this studio, on a spiritual sequence to this masterpiece, with the proper resources, if given the chance could just develop the techniques and create a more vast and bigger world inside a platform game. You feel like you own Yarny, you can do almos anything with him, when I figured out that I could make bridges with the yarns and move it with his hands from one side to another, first time to pic up a secret, I realized how intuitive the game was. Take the simplicity of the controls and freedom itself and the game booms your head. For an old gamer (since Atari) like me, I felt like, Ok... Now I can jump here, there and there, and do this and that! Sometimes the scenario gave me the opportunities to explore every inch, sometimes not! And that is my advice to all these brilliant people! If you ever make another game, not a sequel, it just wouldn't fit, or perhaps it would I don't know. Please, explore these incredible mechanics, with better level design, and then you figure it out that one day another Rockstar, Valve, Bioware, Ubisoft will be born!

What a way to tell a story! Well, it is true that N.E.R.O. is short, easy, too easy that is impossible to be stucked in a puzzle solving situation. All puzzles I managed to solve it in only one or two tries... Some may say a few puzzles take more time, which is true though, for me, nothing challeging at all. That hardest to me was not even the last one. Let´s talk about length. The game, to me, could last 1:30 hour or so, but it took me almost 7 hrs to finish it, because I simply explored the entire enviroment in the game, try to catch all the pictures and wonder around. The strongest points in N.E.R.O. is on the narrative elements, from the start I alreayd understood what I was doing, and what was my role. When the story started to emerge as I was diving in I already noticed who I was, who the companion was and what was happening around, the only true surprise I had was the end, which I did not expected at all. The game is touching but its music, narrative, slow paced gameplay, gorgeous and beautiful levels with awesome art design. I saw a trailer and thought as an instant buy because I started at atari, and we "oldies" are tired from the same of the same every day and when something like this just comes it looks like a "breeze of spring fresh air" coming to my console. If you like touching stories with that sense of wonder you only see in stories like "The Little Prince", that is totally for you. The game mechanics never fails though there are some few bugs but they don't ruin the experience, it could have been a little longer with harder puzzles to make the ending even more memorable, the game is a blast though... It just didn't reach 10 because it seemed fast at moments... I'm talking about the narrative here. Anyway, congrats to storm in a teacup for the excellence, and I wonder, if something like this couldn't be improved by then, because they really know how to amaze telling a simple drama, a beautiful story.

An authentic survivor horror and a good fresh piece of meat to start this console generation with survivor horrors. Outlast takes some ideas from Amnesia series when putting few enemies at your display to terrify your experience while you play, but not as scary as Amnesia though. Outlast is actually a more tense than a scary title, with dark corners all the way, without mention the environment… Poorly visible all the time, most of the places will require your camera with night visions to see it through, so you better pick up any batteries you may find around. The plot is sharp and convincing for the proposal it contains. I am not sure if I am convinced about the ending though, I haven’t played the DLC yet... Outlast is one of those games that gives you freedom to create an interpretation of its meaning, just like Silent Hill for example, even though there is a ˜logical explanation˜ inside its events, it is never logical enough to fill all the answers lying in our heads, that is part of the mystery that circles the immersion of this game and survivor horrors alike. Outlast has enemies, bosses… And all you can do is run and hide, which provides the game an intense and tense situation to be concerned about, if you want to find jump scares, this one doesn’t provide much of them, if you want jump scares and **** on your pants, go to Layers of Fear instead… Outlast has good graphics (for an indie game, let it be clear and for a 3GB sized game), good gameplay, outstanding art direction and terrific AI on enemies… At least the most noticeable… I wish the game should`ve lasted a little longer, it wouldn’t hurt… More situations and more things to do on the game would be awesome… I had the feeling that the ending happened in the middle of the playthrough, and that was like taking back that cake was given to me. So, my verdict about it: I really enjoyed the game but at the same time I felt like half of the experience with this game was taken from me! I am not complaining that is too short, I am complaining that it looked shorted, when it should be bigger taking in consideration its own proportions from the story itself. Graphics: 8 Gameplay: 8 Story: 7 Sound design: 8,5 Fun/immersion: 8 Overall: 8

Peggle 2 is nothing different from the original, and when I thought peggle 1 was a 7 rating game because it was held back down from greatness because of its lazy ideas stuck on same solving puzzle style all the way, peggle 2 is peggle 1 reduced with nothing new. Same issues, same laziness... You can try to challenge yourself by hunting down bigger challenges, but all games has its own ˜hard˜ settings, which kind doesn't count much for me. Technically speaking, I can make it hard to simply walk from room to kitchen by putting a huge chain on my leg attached to the wall, of course getting to the kitchen will be a real challenge, but the only thing I wanna do is just to drink a glass of water... That is the feeling you will get playing Peggle 2 trying to ˜challenge˜ yourself.

Imagine a game totally based on Silent Hills P.T. Demo, then you add a little of Outlast feeling with more polished visuals and with a better and unique story, at the same level of Amnesia: the dark descent. That is the game you will get! Layers of Fear shows why the survival horrors (with no guns) are so important to the industry, when it attempts to show that games can be immersive and truly inspiring as an art form, and this one succeeds on that. What holds the game to score a 10 from me is the fact that it has a fast pacing, it could be a little slower with more puzzles and gameplay elements to slow it down a little, because it contains almost 5 or 6 hours of length, and it could certainly feel more terrifying and bigger if some scare jumps could be swapped by more challenges and medium-hard puzzle solving into it. I could say that this game tried to so hard to reach a masterpiece standard that the developers excitement were a little above their own expectations... Another stunning feature is the incredible soundtrack and its audio, which is powerful and emotional as well is it is immersive, so that is my verdict: Audio/soundtrack: 9.5 Graphics/level design: 9.5 Story/plot: 9 Gameplay: 7.5 Fun/immersion/atmosphere: 10 Overall score: 9.0

Let me start saying that I did not completed the game. But I did most of the missions, side and main quests and I have more than 20 hours spent into the game... I'll separate things you will encounter on reviews by topic and say if is true or not - You depend on bat mobile to do things all the time and the car is overused - NONSENSE that dependes on how much you will want to use the car. Of course there are missions in which is required, but not obligatory - Odd design - NONSENSE - Game is looking good as hell, both in immersion and artistically speaking, and you don`t need to be an expert in art design to know it - Story is bad compared to the previous ones - Ok, Im not gonna spoil anything, but if you played batman arkham asylum, and payed attention, as well as if you payed attention on Arkham City, you will notice that this is the way the plot was suppose to be. And Rocksteady doest exactly what fans should wait. Why I rate this game with a high score if I didn't finished? Because it freaking deserves a 9 at least, if its going to get a 10, well... I have to finish to say if the story will keep like it is now of ir its going to be even more epic, than it changes to 10... 9 is the minimum this game deserves! MINIMUM I SAID

10 out of 10. Why? Because Titanfall feels exactly like everything Activition wanted to do with their games and never did because they were stuck on too much realism worries and arcade fire fights on endless mp battles... Titanfall is like no other fps where you jump, and use your tons of perks to customize your game and is so light as it is heavy to play while your running, destroying, flying around through wall jumps and of course, the robbots! Its is for sure the best fps for this generation so far considering its only multiplayer.

Mass Effect is all about good story, great revelations, long worthwhile lenght gameplay, 25/30 hours... It posses a great artistic direction, awesome dialogues, great action! Some place are repetitive to visit like a paste and copy work, the graphics may have too much pop-in with weak anysotropic... But the rest makes this game of my favourite games of all time! Mass Effect is my favourite game in this console generation...
