Mass Effect: Andromeda10
Aug 22, 2017
This game is probably, no, easily, the best in the series thanks to the new free-movement combat system, the more relateable characters, and best/most companion missions. It even has the best multiplayer mode. The graphics+engine also blows many other games out of the water. Are the facial animations bad? Yeah. So what. You get used to that after a couple hours. EDIT: Docked 3 stars upon announcement that there will be no DLC. This game needed DLC, and I assumed it would have extensive DLC when I bought it.

Battlefield 15
Aug 22, 2017
It's far from perfect, but easily my favorite Battlefield game. The animations in particular are the best in the business. Good vehicle balance and shooting mechanics, and a wide variety of weapons including melee weapons. EDIT: reduced my score because of anti-consumer business practices.

Battlefield 1: They Shall Not Pass4
Mar 19, 2017
They Shall Not Pass adds French people, 1 New Tank, about 5 new weapons and a couple of new maps. Unfortunately, Conquest doesn't currently cycle to the new maps, the new Weapons are Progression gated behind little annoying missions, like: Get 50 kills with Shotgun Slugs. Yeah, 50 kill with the most annoying gun. Screw that. So after all is said and done, you are left with the new mode, Frontlines (Tug of War) to play, along with the new Tank. This is extremely underwhelming, and not a good start to their DLCs, which is a shame, since BF1 is good otherwise. They should unlock these weapons that people already paid for, and give the maps to everyone so that the player base isn't stupidly split. If they did that, I might consider recommending it.

Dishonored 29
Nov 30, 2016
Dishonored 2 masters the stealth-or-murder gameplay from the first. The graphics are taken up a notch and the controls are smooth as butter. The story and dialogue available on each level is amazing in its depth and richness. Mechanically, the game works great except a baffling llack of Mission Replay and New Game+. The game seems designed for New Game+, but it's missing. Also, the ending scene is jarringly lackluster. There is no final dialogue sequence between the characters - after you spent 20 hours or more uniting Corvo and Princess whatshername. What in the hell? These things seem to indicate the studio did not have enough time to complete the game, which would have otherwise been a timeless masterpiece in the vein of Bioshock. Hopefully they continue to polish the end game with free patches and DLC, both of which they have indicated they are going to do. I will update the score, hopefully to 10, in a couple of months.

Overwatch9
Jun 17, 2016
Overwatch is a beautiful game and a sure classic by Bethesda. Everything is mostly there that you'd want from an arena shooter. I have some particular criticisms that I want to levy here, though. 1. There are wild variations in TTK that are a little inexplicable. The primary attack on many Heroes weapons seem to have a TTK from around 5-10 seconds. Yet other abilities will 1 or 2 second gib enemies. Some weapons are 1HK! There seems a lack of consistency here, and the power of attacks isn't telegraphed (you'll have to learn all of this by playing many hours). 2. The game doesn't communicate to you which weapons are hitscan and which are projectiles. Furthermore, the projectiles and hit boxes are much larger than they appear. It can be confusing for new players who don't understand the hitbox sizes. 3. There's little incentive to master more than a couple of characters. they are all very different and you'll find that playing a character you aren't good at can make your team lose the match. 4. Lack of competitive mode. It's a shame the game didn't launch with competitive. It's hugely important and will possibly effect the score of the game. The positives: 1. Good voice acting. Every character has a good unique voice. 2. Well optimized graphics. 3. Interesting weapons and abilities. There's something for everyone. 4. Good cosmetic purchase options. For people who like that sort of thing. 5. Robust and quick matchmaking and friend/grouping options. 6. Feature-complete out of the box. This isn't some WIP-Steam-greenlight-BS. You get something for your money instantly.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide7

A potentially great game stymied by its abysmal loot system. The game looks great and is fun to play. However, getting one (if you win) or zero (if you lose) items per 30 minutes makes the game a pointless loot grind. Something as simple as doubling the amount of loot gained would go very far in making the loot system more rewarding.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings9
Jun 8, 2011
The Witcher 2 offers breathtaking visuals, an engaging story, and memorable RPG mechanics. The story and atmosphere of The Witcher 2 is unlike one you will find in any other **** characters give a very real down to earth impression that makes you think about every action you take and whose perspective to see things from. Will you side with the underhanded non-human "martyrs" or the ruthless, overzealous imperial commandos? Will you bow to the Warmongering Monarch or the embrace of anarchy? The atmosphere of The Witcher 2 is that of a classic middle-earth, with the bonus of a refreshing variety of monsters somewhat unlike those found in other games. Rejoice - there are no Orcs in this game!
Even the main character Geralt, The Witcher himself, is a being not found in the World of Dragon Age, Lord of The Rings, or Warcraft. You play a man, once human, who was stripped of his humanity through rigorous procedure using alchemy to enhance the normal human physiology. All for one purpose: to help slay the evil beasts that roam the world. The Witcher 2 doesn't even have the three classic archetypes. Yes you can specialize in Magic, yes you can specialize in Fighting with Big Swords, but an Archer specialization tree is missing.... Replaced by the Alchemy specialization tree, which helps The Witcher utilize powerful bombs and guzzle down powerful but dangerous alchemical potions that are so potent as to poison even The Witcher - a being born from alchemy. The Witcher makes these potions himself using the game's extended crafting system, which is coincidentally used for making the most powerful weapons, armors, bombs, and potions found in the game. Potions are made using the usually plentiful ingredients (mostly everything you pick up can be used to craft another item), while the best Armor is crafted by finding one-time only drops from boss creatures. There is another reason to buy The Witcher 2 besides the game world and mechanics themselves: every DLC is free. Yep, thats right, no 5 bucks for a bit of extra content on release. The First DLC was free to anyone who registered the game. Since release, 2 patches have been released to remedy the minor bugs and to fix issues with performance, and over half a dozen DLCs have been released, all free.
