Full price game = check! DLC and season pass = check! In-game micro-transactions = check! Dedicated servers = error! p2p matchmaking = check! Have fun playing a competitive multiplayer game with laggy p2p matchmaking and basically no cheat prevention or detection.

Easily the most polished TW game at release ever. The performance is good. It's very stable and I had no crashes or stuff like that. And even game mechanics and the AI actually work! No comparison to the buggy catastrophe that was Rome 2 at release. But how is the actual game you might ask? Well, it's the best TW game released in a long time and maybe ever. The AI is without question the best ever seen in a TW game and it actually feels like the AI factions are trying to win the game. Both on the campaign map and in battles. Normal difficulty is already more difficult than "hard" was in previous games because it's not so easy anymore to cheese the AI. Stupid stuff like running around your settlements with a single cavalry unit while the defensive towers slowly but steadily take out a whole enemy army does no longer work. The AI reacts to what you do and tries to flank whenever possible. Even diplomacy works. It's still not very deep but at least what is there works this time and factions act in ways that makes sense which is a MAJOR improvement over previous TW games. I also really like how diverse the factions are. There might not be that many, but the difference in play style, both in battles and on the campaign map, between the different factions are HUGE! There are the Dwarfs that center around defensive turtle tactics. Or the Chaos campaign that feels almost like an RPG since you do not build any settlements and only move your heroes with their armies across the map. All the playable factions are very well done and how diverse they are is one of the biggest strengths of TW Warhammer in my opinion. The only issues I had with the game so far are a few balancing issues which are to be expected considering how diverse the factions are this time around and which will likely get fixed in future patches. For example most ranged infantry (archer and the like) are too weak in my opinion and never seem to be doing enough damage to justify having them take up an army slot. Also Dwarven infantry might be a little bit too strong. And there are quiet a few spells that seem to be mostly useless. Overall 9/10

The writing is probably the worst in the whole series. It makes b-movies and fan fiction look like Shakespeare level material in comparisson. And it makes talking with people a real chore since it's never interesting. The stupid Mass Effect like dialoge wheel does not help either. And of course the characters are just as bland and uninteresting as the dialogues. Sadly this time around even the world seems bland and uninspired. It just feels like something a single dude playing around with the Fallout 3 editor for around a year put together. It really does! The UI is the worst piece of crap I've seen in a long time. Organizing your inventory and comparing items is a nightmare! And the controls with K&M are a slap in the face. The whole building structures part might well be the most clunky thing I ever had to deal with in a video game! The Roleplaying aspects of Fallout 4... Oh my god they killed Kenny! I really don't even know where to start... - They dumbed down the character development - Killed dialog choices with the Mass Effect Wheel - Removed the ability to roleplay your character - Pretty much removed most choices from the game altogether This game can not even be called an RPG anymore in my opinion. Skyrim was at least still an RPG Light, this game is a true travesty. I read somewhere that this supposedly was in development for 6 years... I really don't know what to say to that. This game is an abomination. Without the Fallout name and sold as a survival FPS about running around in a Wasteland and shooting zombies, I guess this could be considered an OKish game (not good mind you!). Yet as both an RPG (cringe) as well as a Fallout game (cringe even more) it's an abomination! It really is terrible and this time around even mods might not be able to fix it. There is just too much wrong with this game.

I want to report a crime, a case of murder to be more precise. They really killed him! They murdered Garett! And it's the worst kind of murder, not for reasons of self defense or out of a state of mental confusion, but planned and executed in cold blood and for purely financial reasons! It's true that Garett wasn't an innocent by any means, he was a thief after all. Yet this he did not deserve! Shame on you Squenix and Eidos!

I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. The controls are great as well and the fights are fun. The story is good as well and the religious fanatics you are fighting are quite funny at times. It also looks quite impressive for an indie title. The only real downside is that it is very short, it took me less than 3 hours on the first play through on normal and that includes mission I had to re-do because I died.

What a mess. When a game makes you feel seasick, you know something is wrong. How the game manages that? Simple, in battles you have a crappy camera that barely shows anything so you have to constantly adjust it to see at least a little of what is going on. Worse yet, the game also has horrible camera controls and no less horrible performance that makes everything seem sluggish and slow to respond even with highend hardware. So you end up constantly moving a sluggishly reacting crappy camera around that moves strangely and is hard to control.... I really started to feel a little sick after a few battles and haven't played since. The game also suffers from crashes and some of the longest loading times I've ever seen. Best stay clear of it and should the scenario interest you, try the first King Arthur game which is much better. That game, even thought not perfect, I actually enjoyed playing.

Honestly, I could almost copy my Far Cry 3 review over here since this game suffers from the same issues. AC3 as well is a prime example of mass produced casual garbage. It also suffers from a complete lack of creativity and vision, not to mention the same dreadful casualisation that aims to take all challenge out of the game and make everything so simple that even a monkey who fell as baby from a tree and badly hit it's head could do it. Why I'm giving it a higher rating than Far Cry 3 (Rating 1)? It's because the world is a little more immersive and you at least don't see blinking weapon and ammunition vendor machines in this game.

Very solid game. A little to simplified compared to the original for true greatness, yet still a good game and fun to play. It does a lot of things right and the tactical combat can be a blast at times. Recommended for anyone interested in those kind of games. One of only a few non-indie games these year worth buying.

Another prime example of mass produced casual garbage. That's what happens when you start producing games assembly line style. Games aren't shoes or tv's, a good game requires more than just putting pieces together in the same way that good music is made up of more than just sounds. Yes, technically music is just sounds, yet without vision and creativity that's also all it will ever be. Far Cry 3 is just a compilation of things and ideas that were copied and stolen from elsewhere thrown together, it lack's both creativity and vision and it shows at every corner. Far Cry 3 isn't an immersive masterpiece full of wonder, it's a compilation of mini games placed on the least immersive island ever conceived in video game history. It offers not even the slightest illusion of being a real place with real people. Everywhere is blinking crap and money lying around. Each 20 people village got a weapon dealer, and cars are waiting at every corner for a new owner. And the least immersive thing of them all, the blinking weapons and ammunition vendor machine! Yes, you heard me right, a weapons and ammunition vendor machine that even blinks! Holy crap! That thing beats it all, I don't believe I ever saw something more immersion breaking in a video game than this blinking vendor machine! So there we are, the least immsive island in video history and a complete lack of creativity and vision. And it gets even worse. Yes, surprisingly, it's still possible to get worse! I'm talking about Ubi and their desire to make games more accessible. For those who don't know already, accessible when it comes to game design usually means that anyone without any skill or even a working brain should be able to play it without difficulty. And that at least they managed, it's so easy and simplified that anyone not fully brain dead yet should take care not to play for prolonged periods of time or their brains might really die out of boredom. All in all, it's a prime example of mass produced casual garbage. Just what I expected from Ubi.

It's time for warmed up re-served leftovers again, it's Call of Duty time! With the same 14 years old id Tech 3 engine, and the same old dozen times rehashed gameplay, the "newest" CoD barely released already feels older than my grandma. Avoid like the plague or they will continue pumping out this crap twice a year with the same ancient engine until the end of times. Support devs with your money that actually try to make new and interesting games instead of just re-warming the same old crap that lost all taste ages ago.

Another year and another Assassins's Creed game which basically plays itself. Yes, making a game to hard and challenging can frustrate people, yet making it too easy will bore them. Good game design means finding a balance between those 2 extremes. And it's might be just me, yet I take a little frustration over boredom any day in a game. Because managing something that was difficult leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment, finishing something that was boringly easy one the other hand just leaves you bored. And a game isn't supposed to bore you, causing boredom is pretty much the opposite of what a game should do. Or maybe you are one of those people who enjoy to cheat in multiplayer games, or usually run through single player titles in god-mode, because in that case this might be a game for you. For those who require a little challenge in order not to grow bored with a game, better look elsewhere.

A poor mans CoD with ideas stolen from Uncharted and Gears of Boredom, that is what Resident Evil has become. Survival horror that challenges the player at every step? Nope, almost non stop brainless shooting continuously broken up by loading screens, QTE, and video sequences. So many quick time events! And each QTE rips you right out of the game world. It's like trying to have sex with your girlfriend while the phone rings every minute or so. Not that the gameplay is any good. Broken mechanics, clumsy controls, and a horrible camera add to the whole mess. It's like a car manufacturer tried to build an airplane without knowing anything about building airplanes. The result somewhat works ...well mostly, yet it doesn't feel right. They would have done better sticking to what they know, namely making survival horror games. It's like going into a sushi restaurant and all they offer is cheeseburgers with the explanation that cheeseburger sell better than sushi so now they only make cheeseburger. And very poor cheeseburger at that.

Forget Diablo the lord of hell, the new Prime Evil that needs to be defeated is this draconian DRM nightmare that prevents legit costumers from playing what they paid for and which introduces lag into single player. If single player with lag isn't truly evil, I don't know what is. Forget hell, the HQ of Activision-Blizzard is where the true evil is to be found these days. Better take your sword, spells, or whatever and go there to fight evil. Just be prepared, there is much evil there and you better not go alone. And forget this game, it's just a shorter and simplified version of Diablo 2 with 2004 Wow Graphics that offers nothing that was not already done better by other games before.

A very enjoyable game until the last act. Far too many lizard people in far to similar dungeons and a very low quest density make the end a lot less enjoyable than the rest of the game. It still gets an 8, a very low 8 at that, from me because I had a good deal of fun with it.

Without the far to far to low difficult level it would have been a decent enough game, yet the lack of any challenge whatsoever makes the game boring and renders two of the main elements of those kind of games, the search for better equipment and the drive to improve your character, redundant. When you visit the forum of a hack and slay game and people widely recommend to use inferior equipment in order to not make the game too easy, you know something with the balancing went terribly wrong.

"How to destroy a promising series by dumbing it down, an easy guide to boredom". Chapter 1: Make it simple! Gone is the dynamic skill based combat system from Risen 1 which required the player to use different tactics dependent on the enemy he was fighting. Risen 2 offers a Fable style one button based no-skill no-system-combat. It's simple, and it won't be to challenging for some people like the combat in Risen 1 was. It's also boring and repetitive beyond believe. Chapter 2: Freedom is bad and overtaxing for small brains! Gone is the medium sized realistic open world which offered the player the freedom to explore. Risen 2 offers console RAM friendly mini islands which are so small that even navigation challenged people who experience regular difficulties with getting around in their one room apartments won't get lost anymore. Exploration, always a strong point in Piranha Bytes Games, just doesn't feel right when the areas are so small. Chapter 3: Repeating things over and over again makes them more easy to comprehend! Yes, don't expect rich quest design, Risen 2 offers the same boring fetch quests over and over again. Boring repetitive combat and castrated exploration wasn't enough, for true boredom the quest design apparently had to mirror the no-skill combat when it comes to repetition. Get used to the idea of feeling more like a Fed Ex courier than a pirate. Conclusion: By fallowing our easy guide to boredom you'll create a truly boring game. And how they accomplished that!

This game teaches a lesson everyone should learn. It's the lesson that **** can be transformed into gold, at least in the minds of man (and women), with enough advertising money. It really is amazing what enough propaganda (advertisement = product propaganda) can accomplish. I mean it's supposed to me a massive multiplayer game, yet uses an outdated engine which can not handle massive at all. When things get "massive", you can count the fps with the fingers on one hand. And pretty much everything else is somewhere between below average and average in this game with exception of the soundtrack and the star ware **** yeah, and the pvp, that is outright terrible. With input delay from hell and balancing apparently done by the dark lord of the sith himself. Basically all sith abilities with extremely few exceptions are superior to their republican counterpart. Add to that all the other advantages the empire side has and it's pretty clear why the republic side is outnumbered like there is no tomorrow on most servers. Avoid at all costs and wait for Tera or Guild Wars 2.
