This game will boost your anxiety up to the roof. I've never played a creepier game and I played Outlast, SOMA, The Dark Occult, F.E.A.R., etc. The game is all about the twisted, macabre, dismal atmosphere. You don't want to be here, wandering in that gloomy place with a flashlight that only lights up what's immediately in front of you, wondering at every moment if the lurking entity will jump at you. The sound design is pure genius. It will send shivers down your spine and raise your adrenaline for hours. Took me 3-4 sittings to find the courage to finish it. Too much pressure. Play in the dark, play with a headset and challenge your nerves

I don't understand the bad reviews. This game has great graphics, a fantastic atmosphere and sound design, and a game mechanism that keeps you on the edge, fearing that the demon woman will appear any time chasing you. Yes, the gameplay might become repetitive with closed doors, find the keys and such. But the game is all about the constant menace of the demon lurking, keeping you on the edge. Frictional Games uses the same concept and nobody is downvoting their games. So why this one? Yes, you save manually and might end up dying and retrying, doing the same part again. But what's the difference if the game was autosaving? You die, retry and do the same part again. Nobody has ever done that playing SOMA for example? Or GTA? And BTW, anybody remembers that time where games had three lives, one hit kills you, no save, no continue? No more lives, **** it up and restart at level 1? Well, pepperidge farm remembers! The game borrows its gameplay from Outlast, Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Frictional Games. But the end result looks great. The voice acting is a little weak and should be fixed. But overall, this is a high quality game made by an indie team. You can see there's a lot of work, passion and love put in it. The textures are great and the lighting is awesome. The sound design is top notch. I didn't encounter any bug or crash but there have been updates before I buy it so people reporting them might have experimented them on a previous version. Also, the devs are maintaining and adding content to the game, like adding the map and the game modes. So, I don't understand why an indie team who made a great game is getting downvoted while everybody still continues to buy EA games, praising them again, forgetting how they treated their customers. Anyway, buy this game, support this team. I think they can become the next Red Barrels and should be encouraged.

If you like The Room series, this one is basically the easy version of it. Nice puzzles but a little too easy. However, for $0.80, I can't complain much. Overall, a good game all around. A little upset though that I miss an achievement and will never get it because I solved all puzzles without skipping any. Developer should release DLCs with stronger puzzles. Will definitely purchase them if the price is right.

Launch game. Steam launch options pops up. Choices are "Play game" and... no other options. Alright, talk about options with no options. Choose "Play game". Game loads, music starts playing, main menu screen appears. Choose "Options". Get level selection screen. Can't see any options. Looks like it might be the "Play game" screen. While wondering if I mistakenly chose "Play game", achievement pops up. Go back and choose "Play game". Get same level selection screen. Yep, so no options then. Slightly amused when game closes abruptly: "**** has stopped working". Check achievement. Says it's "Untouchable - Complete all levels with 0 deaths" Alright, seems that my job is done here. Was fun. Launch game and wait to get 5 minutes total playtime in order to write review. Get a steam card in the process. Write review. Request refund. 3/10 for the nice achievement and the free card.

You like Limbo, Inside or even Albert and Otto? Well, go buy those because this one is just another failed doppelganger: controls are clunky, pacing is atrocious, platforms hitbox is fuzzy, therefore pretty frustrating. Character jumping consists of 90% of the game and it's a total failure. Turns an interesting dystopian world into a bad platformer. Bottom line: it's boring. Got it for 2$ and it's pretty much the max value of this game. Don't buy at higher price or better, don't buy at all.

Beautiful, fun, nice story with an innovative plot, clever gaming mechanisms. That's a hit. Reminded me of "A story of my uncle" but with much less challenging (frustrating?) platforming so this game is just pure joy. The best part was running of the railway tracks at huge speed, with the music becoming epic as you accelerate. The feeling was awesome! This game should definitely get a VR version. Got it for $5 and I regret nothing!

No problem for creating games that are challenging and hard. But give the player the means to beat the game fair and square. - Controls are slippery: there's some kind of inertia when stopping or changing directions which makes you fail at simplest jumps. Imagine if Super Meat Boy was slipping when trying to stop or switching direction. That's a deadly sin for precision platformers - Traps are usually unavoidable unless you die first to know where they are: that's the cheapest way of making a game hard, like jump scares are the cheapest way to make a horror game - Levels don't reset when you die, they just continue on the same timeline, which means you can respawn and get killed immediately, or be in a pattern where the elements won't synchronize properly for you to finish the level - But the worst part is setting death traps on locations where you have to stand and switch the dimension to find your way to continue the level: you just made it through a hard part of the level and ended up on a safe platform. You're looking for your next moves to continue the level and switch dimension to see where the platforms are in order to prepare your strategy. But BOOM, the platform you're on has a trap in the other dimension! "HA HA HA, Pwned! Restart the level, ****!" Yeah, very funny. How about I get my money back instead?

Very original and clever base mechanism that creates a new style of gameplay. But the real strength of this game comes from a thorough level design which is a fine piece of craftsmanship. The learning curve is just perfect, there are no levels that are ridiculous to achieve and the game keeps introducing progressively new mechanisms that keep the gamer's interest high. You never rage quit and you just keep improving and progressing through the game. Overall, a complete success. Highly recommended.

Very original game mechanisms, nice soundtrack, nice graphics and relaxing game Why not recommending it then? Because the game doesn't exploit the mechanisms it has put in place. It's very linear and after the first ten minutes, it's pretty much all the same Because the puzzles are too repetitive and, again, don't exploit the original idea of folding and unfolding the crafted paper world Because the soundtrack often ends abruptly for no reasons Because there's no walk fast/running option. Seriously, the character moves sloooowly. I know it's supposed to be part of the general relaxing experience but it ended up annoying me and not relaxing me Because the game is very short - finished it in one sitting of 90 minutes, getting all the achievements - and has no replay value Because for those reasons, $10 for this game is way too much expensive. This game should cost $2 at full price Overall, very clever idea, bad execution

Well quite frankly, this game should have been awesome: it's beautiful, the cultural insight is interesting and the girl/fox relationship is lovely. The game mechanism borrows a little from "Brother - A Tale Of Two Sons" as you have to collaborate to solve puzzles. Unfortunately, it becomes quickly a (really bad) platformer, riddled with bugs. It was clearly not coded by people with gaming experience and you end up failing at simple jumps to restart more and more frustrated every time. The living forest level is a deal breaker and, even if I passed it because I'm stubborn, I was simply not enjoying the game anymore. A game has to be entertaining above all. When the fun goes away, the conclusion comes forward: it's a bad game. End of story.

Runs like a fat cow on antidepressants. Crashes miserably to desktop as soon as you change the graphic settings (CRYENGINE SDK has crashed...) and therefore fails to save them (you're stuck with the defaults). When you manage to make it work, has one of the worst game-play ever seen, especially for a game where controlling your ball and keeping its momentum is crucial. Graphics are ugly, yet static meshes and textures take 2-5 seconds to load. Objects around are constantly clipping as you move. Lastly, whoever designed the main menu has never heard about the concept of UX (yes, they even managed to fail at making a proper main menu).

Game plays very slow in full HD and still pretty slow in lower resolutions, even though it's a simple 2D platformer. Often, when the game is running at slow framerate, collisions are buggy and the character ends up stuck in a wall, leaving the player with no other option but to reset the whole level. Overall, it feels like a half-baked product. Too bad: the game mechanics were promising.

Well, I wish I could have enjoyed this game but at level 3 of the tutorial, game requires the use of mouse wheel in order to complete the level. Why force the use of mouse wheel? No idea and no real rationale behind it. Developers could have simply implemented the use of two keys for the same results. Or could have supported gamepad. Though luck: my computer is a laptop. Couldn't move forward in the game. Game specs don't specify that the use of mouse wheel is mandatory. Refund requested and obtained. So beware before buying this game.

I can't believe this game went unnoticed. At first, I was like "yeah, it's an ok FPS, with some jump scares. That's alright". But when you get the TMD and the seeker, WOW! The game reveals itself and is freaking awesome! The style borrows from Wolfenstein, Metro 2033 and a little dose of Bioshock, but still stays unique. The action scenes are very well directed and give you a thrill. The enemies have different hitting zones and will die according to where you shoot them (head, chest, leg, etc.) The scenario is rich and adds up to this excellent game. Even five years old now, the graphics are still up to the par. Excellent game, well worth the money.

Contrast starts on a very clever gaming mechanism but ends up falling short. The story is dull, the characters are botched, the game-play is repetitive and the controls are clunky. The whole game can be 100% completed in one seating of 4 hours. That is a pity because the premise of this game, the atmosphere, the era and the soundtrack are top notch. All the ingredients were there to make this game mythical. However, the poor execution ends up ruining the show and the whole thing feels sour in the end.

Great idea, nice game, lot of potential, all ruined by crappy controls. This is the kind of game where you're not offered the necessary means to play normally. Characters are like floating, making any precise move impossible. Take a game like Super Meat Boy where difficulty is top notch, you still enjoy the challenge because controls are highly precise. You only die because you made a mistake, not because the game makes you move 5 feet at the slightest touch of a key. That's a shame to waste such a nice idea because of a half baked gameplay.

Assassin's Creed III0
Jan 3, 2014
Ok, let's start with the positive so we can clear this one out quickly the cut scenes are awesome. Done. Check. Now with the negative : 1. This is the most boring and clumsiest assassin you'll ever see in your life. This character I already forgot his name just to say is the total opposite of Ezio no charisma whatsoever, no substance, no facial resemblance with any of the glorious assassin family Desmond is the last heir of, boring voice and poor abilities. You can't get attached to such a dull character and have any fun using him. You just can't. 2. All the Assassin's Creed games **** me in from the very beginning of the story and glued me to my screen, wasting countless hours to make the scenario and characters progress. This one is so annoying, I have no interest in making anything progress and knowing what happened to the saga. I didn't even understand why Desmond ended up in the animus reenacting this stupid ancestor memories. Nothing's explained or makes sense. It's like, yeah whatever, just do it because well, it's an Assassin's Creed game so let's just milk the same cow again and issue a new episode of the series. 3. The game-play has been revised for the worst. Listen Ubisoft, there's one golden rule in gaming and in programming in general: if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Don't. Just don't. Ever. Instead, you just frustrated millions of players who enjoyed so far the continuity of playing all Assassin's Creed games the same way but you also made it much worse by complicating for no reason a fluid interface with boring menus/sub-menus and counter-intuitive controls. This is an epic failure. 4. The AI. Oh my! The AI is as equally **** than it is deadly, depending on the time, the scenario and the situation. This is such a marker for a failed product to see the vast dichotomy between AI characters accepting you just vanished because you hid behind a barrel in their plain sight as it is when they accurately shoot you to near death when you're jumping from one roof to another, while alerting instantly every other patrols within a 50 miles radius around you. 5. Gazillions of bugs everywhere. For everything. We're not talking about specific glitches in specific areas and such. Direct and obvious bugs like the character's cape going crazy and making him look like a ridiculous bat whenever climbing any tall structure. This is not something you can miss. Clearly, you haven't tested your product at all. Or if you have, you clearly have no respect for your customers in attempting to deliver any level of quality for your products. Let's just issue the damn thing and bang money as much as we can before they realize they bought a piece of crap. The fact that Ubisoft publicly told their customers they have no intention to fix any of the bugs, well I guess we all know now how they consider them (moooo!). 6. Missions 90% of the time, I have no clue why I'm doing a mission or what I'm supposed to do. I just try random things until it seems that the mission progresses. The story is so botched that they didn't even try to provide explanations of why you're doing something in the game now. Overall, the whole thing feels very sour: the great saga that lasted for a decade now has been burnt to the ground by the greediness of Ubisoft executives in a clumsy attempt to milk their customers. From what I can read from gamers about AC IV, it's pretty much the same disaster. Guess what, won't buy it. Well, well done Ubisoft for shooting yourself in the foot and killing one of the greatest saga in gaming history.

The first opus was already frustrating in single player mode with **** bots that would make you fail a heist. This is now worse than ever. The bots are brain dead in this sequel, BRAIN-DEAD. Got put down at the beginning of a heist and they sat repeat sat at the other side of the map doing nothing. Single player mode is impossible because it was one thing to pick up 2 cans of thermite back and forth, now we're talking about 8 bags of money that you have to carry over the whole map and cannot run while you're carrying one. Of course, none of those stupid bots could carry a bag or restart the drill. It was so hard to code. I'm really disappointed by this game. It should have been issued as a multi-player game only. On top of that, it's full of bugs, has an horrible FOV at 45 degrees peripheral and a server that runs as fast as a Pentium 90, making you wait a good 5 minutes before playing a heist.
