Legendary is a fantastic thrill ride that you won’t soon forget.

Accept that Legendary won’t wow you with the gameplay polish of a budget-busting title, and you’ll likely have a good time fighting to shut Pandora’s precious package.

I really like this game of true action fps with a world very detailed Fun is sure I must say this game is underrated and I don't understand why eweryone have to play this awesome game The only thing I don't appreciate was the abscence of the multiplayer players (not working or don't know why) But surely they are playing the campaign of this very interesting game (Y)

Legendary is an acceptable, sometimes frustrating game, a simple entertainment until the great first-person shooters of the year are released.

There are just way too many better shooters available to make this game worth your time and money.

Every hour, you are presented with the ideas that the developer had but simply couldn’t afford, and that only serves to make Legendary’s unrelenting run-and-gun approach harder to swallow. [Christmas 2008, p.96]

All things told, the game reeks of derivation.

Legendary is something of a marvel. While I've played a lot of terrible first-person shooters, I never realized that there would be one that missed the mark so completely.

One of the purest examples I know of an idea elevating subpar to average gameplay to something greater. This game is extremely cheap nowadays, and if you want a unique FPS, there is a LOT worse you can do than this.

Its a fun FPS with some really intense moments and lots of action. Overall a really good first person shooter. Dont see why most of the critics hate it so much. Only things i didnt like was that you had to be very close and precise to any "action" (break the security panel to open a door, turn a lever) and it didnt give me the achievement for beating the game. On top of that, you have to beat it three times to get all three difficulty level achievements because they dont stack. I was planning on playing it on easy and hard to get all those achievements but since it didnt unlock for normal mode I wont bother.

Legendary doesn't break any ground being a bog standard FPS mechanically but the mythological enemies you face and story are compelling unique ideas while for the most part the combat is serviceable and fun. What really kill Legendary from being a title to recommend is the absurdly unbalanced gameplay and dumb as a brick human AI. Legendary commits it's final cardinal sins with a poorly placed and thought out checkpoint system and the final boss itself that at the very final throw after being an unbalanced mess of a fight will throw spectral werewolves at you that you use your "push" ability to make them vulnerable the problem is that if you have no energy for this ability you literally cannot fight back and can only but watch as you are mercilessly torn to shreds for no other reason than the game throwing you the middle finger. If you reach a point like this at any point in a game you have fkd up. I don't easily stop playing a game in frustration at a poorly made and balanced game but Legendary has accomplished this. You'll enjoy the ride for the most part but by the time you reach that final boss you'll likely get to the point I did with the spectral werewolves and finally just quit the game with the only feeling being wanting to tell the idiot devs what you think of them for creating a final boss fight that is clearly tailored to just pad runtime and give the player the middle finger.

Legendary is just a Half-Life clone. There are some fun puzzles, and an interesting story, but the controls are clunky, and the graphics are bad even for the time in which it came out. It's ugly and confusing to look at. It really didn't add anything new to the FPS genre, and its completely sub-par in it's execution.

Legendary is a good example of when a good concept is done poorly. The story of Legendary has some real potential.I won't spoil it in case you decide to play the game. The gameplay is generic, but has some cool innovations, like the Animus, which allows you to regain health as it does not regenerate, very old **** also allows you to release a sonic wave that affects the creatures. There are also a few fun enviromental **** can't just take cover either,as the creatures will find you and decimate you.Though they can kill you in 3-4 hits, which makes the game infuriatingly hard. The graphics are poor, but I've seen much **** framerate is **** my biggest problem with the game is the atrocious loading times. After dying,It took 2 minutes for me to load back to the nearest checkpoint. Sound design is good, particularly for the **** soundtrack is poor however. Overall,Legendary is an interesting premise done poorly, which is a shame.
