A gorgeous card game with great mechanics and atmosphere, **** RNG seems to be specifically calibrated to piss me off and oh lord are the load times ridiculous. It would have been a good game had they figured out how to make everything move along a little snappier.

I can’t recommend Lego City: Undercover enough. Grand Theft Auto in the Lego universe that’s story spoofs the classic cop chase robbers tropes in truly hilarious ways. Missions are fun, voice acting is great, it’s got a funky ass soundtrack, the map is worth exploring every inch of, the NPCs always make me laugh, you can unlock endless vehicles and costumes, and honestly I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to bring absolute mayhem to the streets of Lego City. I can’t think of a better way to spend nine dollars (goes on sale like five times a year at this price digitally).

I listen to a very different kind of music than this. That being said, I’m not some jerk who can’t appreciate things I’m not familiar with. For the purposes of a rhythm game the music fits fantastically with the neon space highway the game takes place on. The gameplay is tight, responsive, integrated well with the music, visually enticing, and addictive as hell. I’ve been looking for a game exactly like this on switch meeting somewhere in the middle between Thumper and Sayonara Wild Hearts. Pricey? If you’re a savvy e-shopper, sure, but the royalties all go to Avicii’s Foundation which focuses on suicide prevention so if you have some extra bucks to spare and like rhythm games I think you can doubly enjoy the game knowing your money is going towards helping someone.
